Your first visit to our office is designed to get you better acquainted with all we offer as well as introduce you to our caring staff. On your first visit, we will review your medical and dental histories and evaluate your oral health. We will take digital x-rays of your teeth and explain to you whether or not you will require any dental treatment.

We view it as our mission to educate our patients about all of their oral health care options and to help guide them to choose a treatment plan that is most suitable and appropriate for their needs.

Elizabeth has been a member of our team for 20 years. While attending college at Rutgers University, Elizabeth started here as a dental assistant. After graduation, she pursued a career in dental hygiene from Farmingdale University, and has been our dental hygienist since. Her training is in the most up-to-date techniques for maintaining healthy teeth and gums. Elizabeth is married and a mother of three beautiful children who keep her very busy with all their extracurricular activities. When she is not at a baseball field, hockey rink, or dance competition, Elizabeth enjoys going to the gym and entertaining for her friends and family.
Kristin has been a part of our dental hygiene team for over 7 years. She graduated top of her class at NYC Technical College. Her warm bubbly personality keeps her patients smiling. She is married and a mother of three gorgeous boys. She enjoys spending time with her family, going to her son's ball games, and having dinner with friends. Other hobbies include photography and scrap booking.
Ann is our Dental Assistant, she helps make your treatment visits comfortable; she guides you through your dental care from start to finish and can answer most any question about your treatment. Ann is originally from India but currently resides in Staten Island. Ann attended dental school in India and graduated as a dentist there in 2007. Her passion lies in teaching and hopes to one day teach dental students once she graduates from dental school here in the United States. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, singing, and dancing.
Roe is our Billing Coordinator. She handles all the lab billing and office expenses. She also does the office supply ordering. Roe is a retired elementary school teacher and a wonderful mother of two and the coolest Nanna to her grandsons Edward and Brayden. Roe has a heart of gold. After work she enjoys watching her grandsons and raising money for many charity groups, such as Breast Cancer, Autism, and for the families of 9/11.
Staten Island, New York ( January 4, 2012)- More than five million individuals are affected by domestic violence each year in the U.S. and Canada, and local dentist Dr. DiBona is helping heal the effects by participating in the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry Charitable Foundation's (AACDCF) Give Back a Smile (GBAS) program. Dr. DiBona is one of many volunteer dentists involved with GBAS, which is available to restore the damaged smiles of eligible adult survivors of intimate partner violence.
'One in four women will experience intimate partner violence in her lifetime. Chances are, you know someone who 's been affected,' said Dr.DiBona. 'GBAS has restored the smiles of more than 1,000 intimate partner violence survivors to date, and we 're looking to help even more. If you know of someone who has suffered injuries to the smile-zone at the hands of a former intimate partner or spouse, please contact GBAS.'
GBAS conducts the initial review of the application, and the volunteer dentist makes the final determination of eligibility. GBAS will connect initially qualified applicants with a local GBAS volunteer, who then provides treatment at no charge. All applicants must fulfill certain criteria established by GBAS.

Excellent treatment and service from Drs. Scamardella and DiBona and their very capable staff. Just completed treatment on a new implant. Dr Scamardella fully explained the whole process and what to expect. It was a very good experience. I would highly recommend Using Drs. DiBona and Scamardella for all your dental needs

I am a patient of D.D.S. I can't begin to express the professionalism of this dental practice. It begins with a very kind greeting from Sandy. You are then escorted to meet Dr. DiBona and Scamardella. They explain the entire process of your visit. Today was my second appointment when again greeted kindly and met with hygienist Liz. She was so very kind. I can't say enough about this team of dedicated professionals.

Unfortunately I broke my front teeth at a very early age, and I've been dealing with dentists my whole life. When I initially came to Dr. DiBona and Dr. Scamardella's office I was inquiring about getting my crowns redone, that were done a few years earlier by a previous dentist and wasn't happy with. From the first consultation I had with Dr. DiBona & Dr Scamardella's I was impressed as to how detailed and meticulous they were to my case/Restoration. After reviewing my x-rays their first suggestion was to get my mouth stabilized, prior to us moving forward with redoing the crowns that I wasn't happy with. By them taking that approach it made me feel very comfortable with how they ran the practice. After coming up with a game plan, they made me an appointment with their hygienist for a cleaning, by the way it was one of the best cleanings I ever had my teeth were never so clean. After we had my mouth stabilized we move forward with the restoration work, and my teeth have never looked this good. I would highly recommend both Dr DiBona and Dr Scamardella for all dentistry needs

I've been a patient of Dr DiBona & Dr Scamardella for a number of years. I have had a variety of dental services including the placing of dental implants and their restoration. They are very gentle, caring and very very attentive to detail. As for their staff, what can I say but Sandy, Joslyn & Elizabeth are the best! They make me feel right at home. Dr. DiBona & Dr. Scamardella are simply amazing! The entire staff at the office is so warm, welcoming, and accommodating. The doctors' attention to detail and thoroughness made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. In the 8 years as a patient here I have never felt pain while having work done. As a patient it is important to me that my dentist fully explains any and all procedures to me. When im looking for a dentist I look for what I get in Dibona and scammardella, which is one-on-one service and a relationship between my dentist and I where I feel comfortable. I highly recommend this married dynamic duo dentists. The entire office staff is awesome. Ohh and most important, I never feel pain.

The most professional, friendly and welcoming team that I have ever encountered in a dental office. Dr Dibona is very meticulous and truly cares about her work. You will receive quality dental work as a patient of either Dr Dibona or Dr Scamardella. They both take their time with you , answer questions and ensure that you are properly treated whether it's for a routine visit or for dental caries. I highly highly recommended both dentists ! I cannot express my level of satisfaction after having difficulty with my previous dental work done by a different dentist.

Dr Scamardella and his staff were a pleasure to deal with during my recent visit. Dr S took his time in explaining what procedures needed to be done and why. I've been coming to this dentist office since I was little, nothing but great things to say. The staff is amazing from Dr. DiBona, to Dr. Scamardella, to Liz and the rest of the staff, they all treat you as if you were their family. What an amazing experience. To when you first walk in the door- to you when you walk out. They treat you like family & really care for your well being. I was so nervous, but after I was there for a little I finally calmed down & felt right at home. I am petrified of the dentist, but this place is definitely a whole vibe! They make you feel so comfortable & explain to you step by step everything they're going to do. If I can give +100 stars I would!!!! This is my forever spot!
