Dr. Dianne Chun has focused on providing outstanding orthodontic care for children and adults in Fremont for over 20 years. Beyond experience and clinical excellence, Dr. Chun is distinguished by her highly personalized service. From your very first visit and throughout your treatment, Dr. Chun takes the time to fully explain every detail and to assure that all of your questions are answered. She personally plans and implements every comprehensive orthodontic treatment. You are treated exclusively by Dr. Chun, and never handed off to an Associate orthodontist.
Dr. Chun is supported by her dedicated and compassionate long-term dental staff. She and her staff take a team approach to orthodontics in which you, Dr. Chun, and her staff work closely together to give you the best possible treatment results.
Dr. Chun has chosen to specialize solely in orthodontics. She completed her Post Doctorate Orthodontic training and concurrently earned a Masters of Science in Dentistry (M.S.D.) degree at the top ranked orthodontic program at the University of Washington, Seattle. She earned her dental degree (D.D.S.) at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), where she was a Regents Scholar, received the Deans Honor Research Award as well as the American Association of Orthodontists Achievement Award. She was also inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.
Prior to UCSF, Dr. Chun completed her Bachelors of Science degree (B.S.) at the University of California, Davis. She graduated as a Regents Scholar with High Honors, and earned a lifetime membership in both the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. She also received multiple Deans awards and was honored for her excellence as the campus Pre-Dental Peer Advisor.
Dr. Chun is an accomplished researcher. She has completed and published research on various dental and orthodontic topics, and has been a speaker and presenter at several dental and orthodontic conventions.
Dr. Chun, a native Californian, actively supports the local schools, youth sports teams, children theater groups, Girl Scouts, Tri-Cities businesses, and other community activities. Outside of her orthodontic practice, Dr. Chun enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, traveling, and cooking.
Dr. Jelson Yalung is thrilled to continue Dr. Chuns tradition of excellence in providing outstanding orthodontic care to children and adults of the Bay Area. Originally from Southern California, Dr. Jelson has over 10 years of orthodontic practice experience, having worked with some of the most well respected dental professionals in Los Angeles.
Dr. Jelson Yalung earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of California, Los Angeles. While at UCLA, he also completed a General Practice Residency, providing advanced dental care to patients with severe medical problems in various hospitals throughout Los Angeles. Finding his passion in the specialty of Orthodontics, Dr. Jelson continued on to obtain his Master of Science and Certificate in Orthodontics at Loma Linda University. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, a distinction held by less than 35% of the profession, and one that recognizes the doctors pursuit of continued clinical excellence and proficiency.
Dr. Jelson is committed to providing personalized orthodontic care by helping every individual meet their specific orthodontic goals. He aims to provide the highest standard of treatment in a friendly environment, where you can work one on one with him to make sure you receive the very best treatment result for you.
Dr. Jelson is an active member of the following professional organizations: American Association of Orthodontists, American Board of Orthodontics, California Dental Association, and the American Dental Association. He actively pursues continuing education to stay abreast of the latest developments in orthodontics.
Besides perfecting smiles, Dr. Jelson enjoys exploring new places, learning about different cultures, and outdoor adventures with his wife, who is from the Bay Area. He also enjoys swimming, biking, running, and has completed multiple Ironman distance triathlons. Dr. Jelson is passionate about being an active member of the community. He looks forward to meeting everyone and working with you!
Think of me as your Orthodontic Liaison. I am always available to answer any orthodontic questions and discuss any treatment concerns that you or your child may have. My goal is to make sure you fully understand your treatment, the procedures, and the orthodontic terminology.
Welcome to our office! Im Zussette, and I have been on Dr. Chuns team as Financial Coordinator for more than 14 years, so I can answer all of your financial questions about treatment costs, billing, payment, and everyones favorite insurance.
I serve as your orthodontic insurance ally. Insurance, claims and benefits can be confusing, so I am here to help simplify and coordinate these things. Ill gladly help you file your orthodontic insurance claims, and can also assist you in obtaining your flexible spending account (FSA) benefits.
My favorite part of my job is being able to help patients/parents claim insurance and flexible benefits, be it by processing claims, calling insurance & tracking payments or just providing information in order for you to get your benefits.
Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, traveling, and going on food adventures. Im excited to meet each and every one of you, and look forward to seeing the twinkle shine through the beautiful smile that we all created together.
I really like Fremont; it is where I grew up and still live. Im active in our community as a leader of a junior high youth group and a member of the Ohlone College choir. When Im not at work and not taking college classes, I enjoy hanging out with my family and friends.

Dr. Jelson is an amazing orthodontist and person. He spends quality time with his patients and connects with them where they are. He's so good at it because it's sincere and he actually cares. It's hard to find genuine people who want what is best for you and Dr. Jelson is certainly that for his patients. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for orthodontic treatment.

I have been a patient of Dr. Jelson Yalung's for my orthodontic needs and I must say he is such a knowledgeable, gentle, and detail-oriented doctor. He has managed to give me my smile and confidence back with close to zero pain --and the best part was that it was one of thee smoothest processes ever. I highly recommend Dr. Yalung to everyone...you won't regret it!

I am a new client. My son is 10 years old. This is the BEST Orthodontist Office in Fremont! I interviewed several Orthodontists and it was an obvious choice after my very first visit. The staff greeted us with big smiles and welcomed us for the interview. (Even the telephone call to set it up was extremely courteous). The office is impeccable and tidy. I noticed right away how organized everything was; right down to the tiniest little details. In the two exam rooms I sat in both the cleanliness of the window blinds and window sills were spotless! No webs, bugs or dirty windows. Love it! Dr. Chun was so friendly. She answered all of my questions, never made me feel rushed and presented many options. She told me my son didn't really "need" braces at his age, that to save on cost I could wait until High School. None of the other Orthodontics I interviewed told me that. Dr. Chun was very transparent. There was absolutely no pressure to start treatment. She gained my full trust and I immediately knew this place was the perfect choice for us. My son has had self esteem issues with his smile. He suffered from anxiety last year and somehow to deal with it he used his tongue to thrust his teeth forward and couldn't stop. Luckily he's better now and I want to see his confidence come back so I chose to proceed. Braces and headgear for "phase 1" is the right choice even if it is only cosmetic at this point. He has many teeth yet to loose and will require braces a second time, later in my sons pubescent years. Kudos to all of the staff here, Amanda, and the scheduler but most especially Joti! She won my sons heart and trust and also mine. She is a true gem! Joti is very professional and sincerely kind. Braces for my son on Monday! He's so excited to get his smile back and I'm so happy I chose this office! It's a family friendly feeling here. As parents have many choices on where to go. If you are looking for friendly, clean and transparency then this is it! Ten stars for Dr. Chuns practice! You will not regret coming here.

Loved this orthodontist's practice! Thanks to her braces, my teeth are now perfectly aligned, without any jaw or bite issues. The retainers I received from her have helped maintain my teeth for the past five years, without any issues. I would highly recommend this orthodontists, she provides excellent, quality, care and makes the customer feel valued and important. Dr. Chun was always promptly on time, welcoming and greeting myself and the other customers present. She really took the time to get to know each one of us individually. Her business is transparent, and she patiently takes time to explain to her customers their dental conditions, causes, and possible methods of correcting or helping improve their teeth. She answers all our questions and concerns, and makes sure we thoroughly understand any processes/procedures. She clearly has the patient's best interests in mind. The staff members were all extremely warm and friendly, going that extra mile to ensure the customer's comfort and happiness. When ever I spoke with the receptionist on the phone she was extremely accommodating and polite, helping to work around my tight schedule.

Doctor Chun and her staff are so welcoming, walking in you are greeted by a friendly face. You can tell all the staff cares about your treatment and making sure the patients are comfortable. I had treatment done on myself and would recommend my friends as well as recommend my family to come here.

My family had an amazing experience with Dr. Chun and her staff. I was the first in my family to get orthodontic treatment there, and my parents were so satisfied with my treatment that my two brothers ended up getting their braces done there as well. Dr. Chun and her staff are very caring and friendly; I never felt anything less than comfortable when I went in for consultations or checkups. For example, when rubber bands were introduced to me as part of my treatment, I had a lot of difficulty figuring out how to get them on properly. It was embarrassing how long it took me to be able to put them on and take them off smoothly, but they were incredibly patient and nice about it. I also appreciate how Dr. Chun was always willing to answer any questions that we had and made sure that we knew exactly what was happening at each of the different stages of treatment. My brothers and I all love how our teeth turned out, and my parents can't thank Dr. Chun more for providing such quality treatment. I definitely recommend her; there's a reason why she's been awarded consistently with Best Orthodontist these past few years!

I have had my braces on for a year now, and the changes that I've seen within this time frame have been so good. I do get many compliments about the progress of my teeth. I thank Dr. Chun and the staff so much. They are very patient and Dr. Chun is also very detailed in her work. During the consultation and exam she was able to answer all of my questions and my concerns and made sure I understood everything and was comfortable with the whole process as well. I would most definitely recommend her to others.

My daughter like the place to get the braces done from their location but Dr staff cant match the price with other 5 star orthodontist on yelp, also price I had it wasn't too low, also they are too pricy compare to others and do not want to respond unless you call them to follow up.
