Dr. Duncan Matheson, IV grew up on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and would not live anywhere else! He moved to Diamondhead in February 1979 and went to St. Stanislaus for his high school education. Dr. Matheson received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Southern Mississippi and his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Toronto. He has been practicing general dentistry since 2003 at the Diamondhead Dental Clinic. Prior to his dental education, Dr. Matheson worked at the Diamondhead Dental Clinic for two years as a dental assistant.
Dr. Matheson is a current member of the Mississippi Dental Association and American Dental Association. He is also the past president of the Gulfport Dental Society. His favorite aspect of the dental practice is the daily interaction with patients and staff.
Dr. Matheson, III received a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology in 1967 from the University of Southern Mississippi, a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from Mississippi State in 1969, and he worked for Chevron Oil Company for four years. He then enrolled in the LSU School of Dentistry and graduated with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree in 1977. He practiced in Hattiesburg and Picayune before opening the Diamondhead office in 1985. Dr. Matheson is a member of the Mississippi Dental Association and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Matheson has resided in Diamondhead since 1979. In 2003, Dr. Matheson welcomed his son, Duncan, as a partner in the Diamondhead Dental Clinic. The Mathesons' younger son, David, is married and also lives in Diamondhead.
Tami was born and raised in Bogalusa, Louisiana. Her parents had a camp on the river in Bay St. Louis, so she visited frequently as a youngster. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from LSU School of Dentistry and has practice dental hygiene since 1993.
Brandi was born in Gulfport, Mississippi and was raised in Kiln, Mississippi where she still resides with her family. She received her dental hygiene education at Pearl River Community College and is a licensed Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) in the State of Mississippi. Brandi has been practicing dental hygiene since 2004.
Dana was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and has lived in Waveland since 1990. She attended St. Clare, Our Lady Academy and graduated from Bay High in 2001. She joined Diamondhead Dental Clinic in the summer of 2007 and absolutely loves her job! She can help you with any insurance or billing questions you may have.

Not only do we recommend this practice to others, we have friends who have used them in an emergency who also recommend them. Super friendly staff. They're not the closest location to us, but they have always done right by us and I have no desire to try to find anyone else.

Dr Matheson is wonderful he goes over options with you. I hate going to the dentist & he makes the experience so much better. His staff is also great to work with. I wouldn't go to any other dentist.

First visit to get xrays went very quickly. Had an abscessed tooth that was causing unbearable pain. He went over my option, got me on antibiotics, and schedule me fpr removal the following week. Was nervous about having the tooth removed as it was my first one, but they are very considerate. Didnt start pulling till i felt completely numb and at the slightest bit of pain they gave me another numbing shot and a bite block. My hour long appointment was 45 of numbing and under 10-15 minutes to pull the tooth. Would highly recommend, very fast care so i could get back to work while also making sure not to cause me pain
