Adhering to the philosophy that dentistry is no longer just drill and fill, the principals at Diamond Dental, P.C. are committed to the concept that the mouth/oral cavity is that gateway to the rest of the body. They believe that todays dentists must promote not only good oral but also good physical health, recognizing the connection that links the two. Not a day goes by when elements of the national media report such findings on talk shows. Yet, few of todays dentists have undergone the necessary medical training in hospitals. Dentistry is advancing at a rapid pace requiring todays professionals to be alert to new practices, innovative materials, and also new technology. Drs. Lee and Salem have been trained at some of the areas leading medical facilities including Hackensack University, North Shore, Mount Sinai, and Columbia Presbyterian among others, where they have had exposure to emergency/trauma medicine, internal medicine, anesthesiology, oral maxillofacial surgery and general dentistry.
Diamond Dentals office is equipped with the latest panoramic X-ray machine that provides 300% more coverage than conventional x-rays, with greater comfort and less radiation. No film is used in the mouth and the x-ray takes only seconds to do. Besides providing pictures of teeth, jaws and sinus projections, it also provides early diagnosis of oral cancer, discovers cysts at an early age and can provide early diagnosis of stones in salivary glands, non-malignant tumors and other serious ailments of the oral cavity. Add to this, computer-controlled x-ray machines, the most current dental materials and an intra-oral camera, and one can see why Diamond Dental is well positioned to service its clientele. To demonstrate Diamond Dentals on-going commitment to the importance of the oral-medical connection, it tests each patients blood pressure before beginning work, requires a patients medical history to assess whats needed, and spends time to provide patient education in addition to whatever care they deem is necessary.
Dr. Lee is an established dentist that aims to bring the latest advancements to his patients. He received his degree in Doctor of Dental Surgery from the Columbia University School of Dental & Oral Surgery. His further training includes a Fellowship Certificate in Implantology from the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, residency at Hackensack University Medical Center, and dental implant course from Brookdale University Hospital, an affiliate of New York University. Prior to Columbia, Dr. Lee earned his degree in Chemical Engineering from Lehigh University. Dr. Lee was the recipient of multiple honors including Phi Beta Kappa and Tau Beta Pi. Dr. Lee has lectured and presented at conferences on the fundamentals and the latest advancements in dentistry. Dr. Lee is licensed in the states of New York and New Jersey. He is currently an active member of American International Congress of Oral Implantologist, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, American Dental Association, New York State Dental Society, and New York County Dental Association, American Academy of General Dentistry. For leisure, Dr. Lee enjoys playing tennis/golf and spending time with his wife and two sons.
Dr. Tener Huang is a board certified pediatric dentist. Having received her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from NYU, Dr. Tener went on to study at the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine where she was the first graduate of a dual degree program, receiving both a Doctorate in Dental Surgery as well as a Masters of Public Health through the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. She went on to complete a pediatric dental residency at the Rutgers University of Medicine and Dentistry, where she served as chief resident and also received an additional Masters in Oral Biology. Throughout her career, Dr. Tener has remained committed to the advancement of pediatric care in her community and abroad. She has participated in dental missions in Cambodia and the Dominican Republic, treating underserved children. Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. Tener has served as faculty at Columbia University teaching first year dental students, conducting community outreach, and continuing dental public health research. A native of New York and New Jersey, Dr. Tener currently lives in Westchester. She enjoys her time with friends, family and her Havanese puppy. Her greatest passion second only to dentistry is traveling, having been to over 40 countries and counting.
Dr. Madhu is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, whose goal is to provide high quality dental care to children in a caring and compassionate way. She strives to help families establish a dental home where children are able to develop and instill good dental habits that goes a long way.
Dr. Madhu is highly trained in behavior management, sedation, preventive dental care, operating room dentistry, interceptive orthodontics, and treatment of special needs children. Dr Madhu is an active member of American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD).
She resides in Westchester with her husband and two children. In her free time she loves spending time with family and friends. She is an avid fan of Disney movies, traveling and passionate about sketching and photography.

Dr. Shim and her team did a wonderful job of helping me to address a recent issue (cracked tooth/crown) and have the depth of local contacts to make the best referrals for outside work (root canal). I am grateful for their healing hands and highly recommend Dr. Shim and this practice.

Both I and my daughter go to Diamond Dental and I couldn't ask for a better practice. I came to Dr. Shim with many dental issues. She's very knowledgable and patient. She did a brilliant job addressing all my issues. My daughter also had a good experience with Dr. Madhu, and she loved the kids activity room.

Wow!!!! Having not been to the dentist for years after a horrible previous dental experience, i was referred to Diamond Dental. I was terrified going in. I knew my dental health was in bad shape and I was in pain. From the moment I walked in, Michelle, at the front desk was amazingly accommodating, kind and helpful. She got me in, as a new patient the next day and offered me a same day appointment which I could not make. She is also working with my insurance company. Outstanding customer service. Bona, the Dental Assistant knew immediately that i was quite nervous. She assured me and explained everything she was doing while comprehensive screening and X-Rays. She was kind, reassuring and very warm and professional. Dr. Shin, the Dentist I was assigned was OUTSTANDING!!!!!. She too knew what my past dental experiences were and she too was extremely thorough, explaining everything to me...and there was a lot to explain... She went over everything with me, was patient with all my questions and gave me the most thorough exam and cleaning, accounting for the pain I was in. She mapped out an extensive treatment plan, step by step. She did all this while while being kind, compassionate and comforting, reminding me, "We are here to help you"! The office follows strict COVID-19 regulations, goes above and beyond. The waiting room is closed. You text the office when you arrive to parking lot and they tell you when you can come in to ensure safe social distancing. I highly recommend this group. Thank you all to the team.

I been looking for a good dentist for my kids for a while, I took my son here for an emergency, when I called them they didn't have any available appointments, but the doctor and receptionist made some arrangements and accommodated me. The doctor and everyone here is so attentive, friendly, and professional. They made my son feel so comfortable, he came out telling how much he loves Dr. Huang, and how he wants to be like her.

Dr. Tenner is amazing! She's very patient with my son (who had a traumatic experience with the previous dentist) she explained everything that's going to happen and the instruments that she will use. It made my son felt at ease and now he is looking forward on coming back to the dentist.. I highly recommend the Dental Diamond, Dr. Tenner and all their staff.
