Dr. Ratna Vedullapalli (Dr. V) studied dentistry for five years at a leading dental school in India, and earning her bachelor's degree in Dental Surgery. Upon graduation, she provided dental service to the poor and needy in rural India. After over a year of service, Dr. V traveled to the U.S., where she completed her D.D.S. and Advanced Program in Comprehensive and Aesthetic Dentistry from New York University. After working at various dental practices in both Pennsylvania and Connecticut, and co-founding a practice in Waterbury, she decided to settle down in Newtown and start her own practice. She continues to serve her community by participating in outreach programs, such as CT Mission of Mercy that serves free dental care to the local underserved communities.
Dr. V successfully completed a complex case of placement of 18 veneers in the AEGD program at NYU College of Dentistry. The case was featured on Spectrum News NY1. She was featured in Guide to Americas Top Dentists by Consumer's Research Council in 2013, 2014, and 2015 consecutively. She was also included in the 2015-2016 edition of The Leading Physicians of the World. Her mission is to deliver distinctive patient care according to their unique needs and is passionate about practicing dentistry.
Dr. Wang was born in a family of doctors, inheriting the tradition of providing the highest quality patient care. Dr. Wang enjoys working with his patients, from children to the elders, to help them establish optimal dental health. Dr. Wang is well recognized by his patients as gentle, friendly and skillful. Dr. Wang spends numerous hours in continuing education programs each year to advance his knowledge in dentistry. He is a member of the American Dental Association and Academy of General Dentistry.

The absolute best Dental experience I have ever had. Everyone is super friendly, accommodating, understanding, compassionate and caring. Dr V is the dentist for you, particularly if you have any fears, she is wonderful, gentle, kind and truly cares about every patient. I hate going to the dentist but Diamond Dental makes it so much more bearable. Their office is very clean and I always feel that I'm well taken care of by the team. I have a busy schedule and their receptionist always will find a way to accommodate me. I've had Dr. V and Dr. Wang and both of them were excellent. I would not hesitate to recommend this practice to anyone.

Diamond dental is the best dental office I have ever been to. They make you feel so important. The staff is very knowledgeable, courteous and friendly. Dr V and Dr Wang are very professional! They are great with explaining and resolving any issues that you may have and great with building a treatment plan that works best for you. I'm a new patient at Diamomd Dental. What a truly extraordinary dental practice! Dr V's welcoming, joyful demeanor is surpassed only by her intelligence, skill, and confident, optimistic manner in which she explained proposed procedures. Danny performed the most painless cleaning I've ever had using the most fascinating and latest tools & technology. Dr Wang was masterful and meticulous in constructing my new crown, happily humming the entire time! He and his assistant were experts in their craft and I couldn't be more pleased. It is immediately apparent, from the front office to the medical staff, that the culture of this practice is of the highest caliber! Because of unpleasant experiences with dentists in the past, I tended to stay away from them. Instead, I worked hard at flossing, brushing, and consistently using my Waterpik. However, I started getting pains that needed addressing. Someone recommended Ratna Vedullapalli at Diamond Dental, so I decided to give her a try. Her office staff was personable and professional. Dr. V examined my teeth and found cavities with the help of x-rays taken with a dental oral camera. Dr. Wang and Dr V repaired my cavities painlessly. What's more, when I was a child, I fell while ice skating and broke my front tooth. I had a crown put on, but it was never the right color. Dr. V and Dr. Wang fixed the problem with four new crowns that all look the same shape and color. It looks wonderful and for the first time in years, I'm able to smile fully and enjoy smiling again!
