Dr. Senan Najar, is originally from Manhattan, Kansas. Dr. Najars dental career began in 2003 after earning a Doctorate of Dental Surgery with high honors. After a few years of practicing dentistry, he spent two years completing a residency in the field of Operative Dentistry and earning a Masters of Science in Dentistry (MSD) from Indiana University in 2009. In further commitment to advance education, 2014 found Dr. Najar in Munster, Germany with a Masters of Science in Specialized Orthodontics from the International Medical School.

By pursuing advanced degrees and training, Dr. Najars practice spans from essential care to full smile makeovers. He is an expert in the fields of implant dentistry and its related prosthetic treatments, complete mouth rehabilitation, and orthodontics. His advanced education in orthodontics is an essential tool that can be used for treating complex implant and restorative cases.

In his own words, It is humbling to have a career that allows me to do what I love: work with my hands, meet new people, make others smile, and positively affect others around me. I like meeting my patients for the first time and hearing their stories about why they sought us out for care.

Professionally, Dr. Najar finds it essential to keep up to date with the latest technology in the field. That is why his office utilizes an advanced CBCT x-ray that not only takes a 3D image of the jaw, but of the airway. It is why Dr. Najar gets the best fit for his Invisalign cases and porcelain crowns by using an iTero digital scanner. It is why he invested in an EKG monitor to offer the safest possible sedation dentistry to his patients. Dr. Najar uses these tools to help patients achieve the SMILE they have always wanted.

Dr. Najar considers himself lucky to call Bellingham, Washington home where he lives with his wife Sura, and children Mariam and Yousif. Mariam has recently started playing basketball and Dr. Najar loves to be a team dad and to watch the games. Outside work, his interests include attending social and community events, traveling, and hiking. An avid outdoor photographer, you can see his work of the beautiful PNW adorning the walls of Diamond Dental. On summer weekends you can find Dr. Najar camping with the family.

April graduated from Lake Washington Technical College as a registered dental assistant in 1998. She assisted for three years before finding her love of the front desk. The part of her job she enjoys the most is getting to know you and helping you get the smile that makes you smile. With her knowledge of front and back office she is able to expertly explain to you your dental needs as well as help you understand your insurance and financing.

April started with us in 2011 managing our Mount Vernon location; in 2020 she also became manager of our Bellingham location. She has spent many years growing relationships with our patients in Mount Vernon and looks forward to doing the same in Bellingham.

When April is not working, she enjoys time with her husband, two boys and her dog Molly. Traveling is by far her favorite thing to do whether it be or somewhere entirely new, a crazy RV road trip or an impromptu trip to her favorite place to relax, Chelan, she loves the adventure that comes with traveling. She also loves camping, sunshine filled days on the lake, music, walks with her dog Molly and time with her friends around the bonfire.

Brienn is a hygienist who joined us in July 2019. She is a Bellingham native and a graduate of Lake Washington Institute of Technology, Kirkland, WA, 2017. Brienn is passionate about hygiene and most enjoys interpersonal relationships as well as patient education and helping patients feel at ease. When Brienn is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her pets and exploring the hiking trails that Bellingham and the surrounding areas have to offer.

Brittany is lead assistant and back-office manager of both our Mount Vernon and our Bellingham locations. She started her dental career at the age of sixteen by volunteering at Community Health Center of Federal Way. After her volunteer work and training she accepted a full-time position with Community Health and worked with them for four years. She moved to Skagit County in 2011 and began her career here with us. Since beginning with us Brittany has become extremely knowledgeable in many areas of the dental field. In addition to general dentistry she is also skilled in orthodontics, implants and all on 4 surgeries. We are so pleased to have such a knowledgeable, versatile staff member.

Outside work Brittany enjoys spending time on her farm with her husband, 2 kids and her dogs Ruby and Goose. When she is not doing projects around the house you will find her cheering on her kids at their go kart races, riding quads and enjoying outdoor activities like camping, hiking, riding bikes and floating on a river. She also has a small business growing hanging flower baskets. Brittany is just as versatile in her personal life as she is in her professional one.

Carri graduated from Bates Technical College with an Associate Degree in Dental Technology as well as her transfer degree in 2000. Since then, she has worked as a dental assistant and in the front office; which gives her the knowledge to confidently explain not only your treatment needs but the financial part as well. She has worked in several dental specialties and has also taught at a local dental assisting school. She loves working in the dental field, her favorite part of dental is working with you and helping you to achieve the smile that you have always wanted. She started with us in 2017 at our Mount Vernon office then transitioned to our Bellingham office in 2020. Carri likes to say Diamond Dental has quickly become her second family.

She grew up in the Bellingham area, she also lived in Montana for a few years. After returning to the Bellingham area, she met and married her husband. She and her husband have three adult-ish kids that they love doing outdoor activities with like hiking, camping and kayaking. She also loves riding her motorcycle whether it be her Harley or her Dual Sport and travels whenever she gets the chance. We absolutely love having Carri as part of our family!

Sara started her dental career in 2020 and has been passionate about dental ever since. Sara attended a dental assisting program here in Bellingham and then started working with us as an assistant soon after.Diamond Dental has become a second home and has helped expand her knowledge about your dental needs. Sara is very passionate about orthodontics and enjoys helping patients navigate their orthodontic journey.

Brielle attended the Dental Assisting program at Bellingham Technical College where she graduated as a registered dental assistant with an associates in applied sciences. She joined us in October of 2020, shortly after graduating. What she loves most about her job is meeting people from all walks of life.

Brielle is a native to Whatcom County and loves all the outdoor activities and beauty it has to offer. She has a Labrador Retriever named Drake who is a great adventure companion. Her favorite things to do are camping and going on walks with Drake!

Dr. Yun M. Kang is a family dentist with experience in many aspects of general dentistry. His practice experience spans a diverse age range of patients from pediatric to geriatric over many years since graduation from the Medical College of Virginia Dental School in 2003.

Dr. Kang was born in Seoul, Korea in 1969 and remained in Korea through his studies at Korea University as a chemical engineering major. After he came to the US following his family in 1991, Dr. Kang continued his education attending schools in Virginia. Dr. Kang received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry at the College of William and Mary where he also earned a Master of Arts degree in Chemistry. Following his path of sincere interest in dentistry, he received a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at MCV Dental school.

For the goal of providing the highest quality of dental care, Dr. Kang has done numerous continuing education courses over the years. Dr. Kang completed a two year orthodontic program for general dentists from United States Dental Institute of Orthodontics in 2010. In addition to this Dr. Kang also completed Invisalign Clear Essential I and II in 2008 and 2014 respectively. Dr. Kang is a member of Academy of General Dentistry as well as a few regional study groups.

After practicing dentistry in Virginia for many years, Dr. Kang moved to Washington State in 2011 when he joined Diamond Dental. Dr. Kangs focus is to provide gentle and quality care, and patients are always his first priority.

As a lover of outdoor activities, Dr. Kang enjoys hiking, skiing, and taking nature photos with his wife. As a firm believer in holistic health, Dr. Kang practices ancient wisdom such as Dhan Yoga and meditation daily. Dr. Kang is currently hosting a sound circle group gathering with his wife in which a small group of community members and friends come and enjoy co-creating healing through sound and music.
