Dr. Julie is a University of Michigan trained pediatric dental specialist. She received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the UNC Chapel Hill Adams School of Dentistry in 2013 where she graduated with honors and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. Dr. Julie then went on to earn her Masters in Pediatric Dentistry from the University of Michigan in 2015. She has worked both in private practice and in a community health center setting while providing clinical instruction to pediatric dental residents.
Dr. Julie and her husband, John, met during her residency in Michigan. After a brief stint down south, they returned to the place that felt like home, Michigan, and settled in Dexter in 2019. They have three children, Bryant, Bryce, and Chloe, who bring them so much joy and laughter.
We hope our patients and their families will feel welcome and at ease from the moment they enter our door. Our office design and layout cater to kids of all ages while also being comfortable and accessible for their accompanying adults. A dedicated play area includes toys, activities, iPad stations, and a TV. Seating for an accompanying adult is available in the treatment areas and TVs are mounted above each dental chair to provide entertainment during your child's visit if you approve.

Dr. Julie was incredible. My daughter who is almost 5 has never had a good dentist experience and she's been going since she was 2! She did amazing today! Dr. Julie was very thorough and her office was set up perfectly for kids. I can't recommend her enough.

I took my son for his first dental appointment today and I'm so happy to have found Dr Julie! She is kind, gentle and extremely knowledgeable. The whole experience was fantastic! The facilities are state of the art and my son left smiling. I highly recommend Dr Julie!

We were on vacation and our sons tooth became infected and needed to be pulled. We called Dr Julie and she got us in the same day! I explained to her that our son was anxious around doctors because of multiple brain surgeries and 2 years of chemotherapy. Her and her husband were nothing short of amazing! They were so patient and kind! I wish we lived closer so we could go to them for everything. Highly recommend!!

Dr. Julie is exactly what I was looking for! I myself do not enjoy the dentist so finding one that my son and I both liked was SO important. She is super patient, kind, and most importantly doesn't do unnecessary work. I have felt ripped off and treated very aggressively in the past by dentists and Dr. Julie is honest and does a great job with my son and makes us both feel very comfortable.

Our family has found a dentist! Incredibly professional, kind, and efficient, Dr. Julie and staff made our first appointment amazing! The communication was impeccable on all aspects of the procedures, and spoke directly to my children for their opinions - as they are old enough to give feedback. Thrilled with this office. Dr. Julie is amazing. My daughter needed her first filling. She has a VERY bad gag reflex and was anxious. Of couse the filling that was needed was on the very last tooth on the buttom. I know it was going to be impossible to do. But Dr. Julie is a miracle worker. She was so sweet, caring and patient with my daughter. She used lots of technics to make my daughter comfortable and calm during her filling. My daughter loves Dr. Julie and only wants to see her. Dr. Julie is so understanding when it comes to a patient's challenges and fears. She will calmly help them work through their challenges and make them love the dentist. She is the only dentist for my children!! We love her!

Dr. Julie is friendly, professional, and put my kids (ages 4 and 2) at ease during their visit. Their new facility is clean and family friendly. Health precautions were taken and I felt comfortable bringing my kids in for their appointments during the COVID pandemic. I would highly recommend Dexter Pediatric Dentistry!
