Dr. Cairo brings an artistic flair and personable touch to the practice of patient care. She has developed a strong skill for reassuring and treating individuals with dental anxiety. Her practice emphasizes complete restorative and cosmetic services for the entire family, with special equipment and materials for the care of children. Dr. Cairo is married with two daughters, Ella and Sophia and one son, Reid.
Dr. Cairo graduated in the top of her class from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry, where she served as class president and conducted dental research as president of the research club. Dr. Cairo also holds a Bachelors degree from the University of Michigan in both Biology and English Literature. She has published research in trade journals and presented internationally. She has been awarded Academic Honors, the Dental Implant Award from the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the Research Excellence Award. Dr. Cairo is also active in professional societies including the Washtenaw District Dental Society the American Academy of Laser Dentistry, the Michigan Dental Association and the American Dental Association.
Dr Cairo has has been honored in Hour Magazine's Top Dentist publication for several years. She also was inducted as a fellow in the Pierre Fauchard Academy which recognizes outstanding dentists and their achievements. She was also a director and president of the University of Detroit Mercy's Alumni Board, a fellow of the Pierre Fauchard, Academy, and a member of the Seattle Study Club.
Dr. Doody is a member of: American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association and the Washtenaw Dental Association. She also has her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Michigan.
Dr. Doody enjoys many different outdoor activities, which include running, cycling, snowboarding,and wakeboarding. Her and her husband participate in many different types of running events. And she is a huge sports fan, and supports all of the Detroit teams.

I cannot thank the personnel at Dexter Dental Center enough for taking care of my dental needs, nor can I fully explain all that they do to make you feel comfortable and keep the procedures from being painful. The staff keeps up to date with the latest advances in technology and training, and after having gone through some really bad experiences with other places, they has won my trust ... which is not an easy thing to do. I cannot name anyone there that does not respect the position they hold, nor will I name anyone that stands out above the others, because they are all shining stars. The reception and discharge staff included. You guys are amazing.

Love going to Dexter Dental Center! We always have a great experience. The staff is caring and very knowledgeable. They explain everything to you as they go along and put your mind to ease. If your looking for a family friendly office, look no further!

Not sure what is going on with billing bout every time I get a bill it's more than I owe from insurance. Every-time. Calling delta dental to report this and them in the morning. Either fraudulent or their biller has no clue what they are doing. Last 3 times were not correct. I have proof ! I have saved all their bills and my EOBs from delta dental

I was really nervous about my appointment after having some negative experiences elsewhere. I'm so happy with the care that I received! Everyone was extremely kind and friendly, my dentist was gentle and had great bedside manner. The facility was beautiful. All in all, I had a wonderful time considering I came in to get my cavities filled.

Very rough cleanings and very unfriendly staff.You never see the same face twice. They send you to other dentist around the area to get procedures that aren't on the menu. I was surprised I had to go across town to get a tooth pulled,and to Ypsilanti for yet another procedure.When I asked questions they asked me to leave.

I've been to Dexter Dental a few times now after moving to the area. I've always been really impressed with the service that I receive. I definitely like this office better than my previous dentist. I have been to this office post-reopening after the covid shutdown and I was impressed with the steps they have taken to minimize potential exposure. All employees are masked and suited up. They have an air filtration unit in each patient room. They ask you to remain in your vehicle until they call you (the waiting room is kind of small). I will say that they are pretty busy and if you have to cancel or change an appointment, it can be difficult to get it rescheduled within a reasonable time frame (especially now because they are trying to catch-up after being closed for a while).

I went to them years ago when I first moved to Pinckney. I had no problems with my teeth that I was aware of but was just looking for a cleaning after going without for a while. They said I had 10 cavities in between several different teeth. They wanted to use all of my insurance allowance for the year, then schedule me for a revisit the first of the year and use all of the next years insurance to take care of them. I went for a second opinion and my new dentist agreed I had just a few spots that he would continue to monitor but certainly did not need work done on them yet. It's been about 8 years now and I still have not needed any work done on those teeth. Very similar situation happened with my wife and after a second opinion her teeth were fine also. I was telling this experience to a friend at a card game in Pinckney and he said the same thing happened with his daughter. They wanted to do lots of work for supposedly several cavities and after a second opinion they were not needed. This is too many negative experiences close to home for me to be able to trust Dexter Dental. If they say you need quite a bit of work done you may want to get a second opinion.

The team at Dexter Dental Center are the best. I had an issue with a crown late on a Friday on a holiday weekend. The team got me into the center and taken care of with basically zero noticed. Even though I was the last person in the building and standing between the staff and a long weekend I was treated great. I couldn't have asked for better service.
