Dr. Stewart is happy to be back on the Central Coast after graduating from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a degree in Kinesiology. Immediately upon graduation from Cal Poly, Dr. Stewart entered dental school at University of the Pacific School of Dentistry (Arthur A Dugoni School of Dentisry) in San Francisco and graduated in 2003 in the top 10 percent of her class with honors. Dr. Stewart was one of 3 residents accepted to UCLA for a 3 year post-graduate study in the specialty of Prosthodontics, the study of treatment planning complex cases, use and application of dental materials and restoration of teeth (from single tooth to full mouth rehabilitation). Dr. Stewart then completed an additional year of study at UCLA in Maxillofacial Prosthodontics, the treatment of head and neck cancers, trauma and cleft palate. Dr. Stewart has successfully challenged and completed her board certification and is a Board Certified Prosthodontist.
Dr. Stewart began her career in Newport Beach working alongside Drs. Sheets, Paquette and Wu for 7 years. She also taught in the Removable Department at UCLA for 2 years. While in Newport Beach, Dr. Stewart was involved in research on a medical device aimed at detecting cracks, fractures and instabilities in teeth. During this time, she published two articles in the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, a peer reviewed journal. Dr. Stewart also teamed up with Drs. Sheets, Paquette and Wu to publish a chapter in Ronald E. Goldsteins Esthetics in Dentistry, Third Edition. Dr. Stewart also helped teach and facilitate courses in Dental Microscopy at the Newport Coast Oral Facial Institute.
In addition to her passion for dentistry, Dr. Stewart loves pouring into her family. She married Steve in 2004 and together they have 3 children, a son and 2 daughters. They like to spend time together- be it the beach, mountains or camping, where ever the adventure takes them, as long as its together.

I have had more dentistry than most people including 13 root canals, 5 implants, and many, many crowns. My dental & medical history is very complex and although I had a great Dentist in the past (he retired and I moved out of that area), I thought I'd never find someone willing and capable enough to handle my case. Then I met Dr. Devin Stewart. From my first consultation, I knew I was in expert hands. She evaluated my overall needs and put me on a plan to restore the foundation I already have and build on it to include working with my TMJ, replacing my crumbling teeth, and making everything more pleasing aesthetically. It is a journey and I feel so blessed to have Dr. Stewart as my Captain. Her skills are extraordinary, her calm, patient, and kind personality is greatly appreciated, her staff is so capable, and kind and her overall environment is genuinely happy. I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for, and this practice is worth every penny. I can't recommend Dr. Stewart and her Team enough.

I have had many dentists through the years and many different plans of treatment. Dr. Stewart is by far the best dentist I have gone to. She and her staff are welcoming, caring and competent. She explains what she believes are all the options for treatments and is very open to going with what you are comfortable with. Understand that she practices a level of dentistry far beyond the average dentist. She is a restorative dentist with all the technology at her fingertips to give you a great outcome. And, she is not satisfied until everything is perfect.

Please do not go here. Very rude and talks down to clients. She is not use to dealing with other ethnicities. Deals poorly with confrontation and criticism.

Terrible bedside manner. Can't believe in this small community this person is in business. The prices are astronomical! Don't go here. I had to drive back to Fresno to my old dentist to get everything corrects. My insurance would not cover it. What a nightmare!! Please do not see Devin Stewart!!!

I really wanted to like this dentist. I saw the reviews. But, hot sky the prices are through the roof! I mean who can afford this?? It's really quite sad that a professional would change this much in San Luis Obispo. I got a referral from my friend J.H.., but he mist have better insurance than me.

Dr. Stewart is an excellent Dentist, however, I would like to particularly brag about her Dental Hygienist, Theresa Pena. Theresa is the most caring, gentle and thorough Hygienist I have ever been to, and I am in my 50's so I have been to a few other Hygienist, but never with her level of care. Theresa is also very informative and helpful with tips and product recommendations that have helped me maintain good oral health. I appreciate you very much Theresa:-)
