Dr. Chisler graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry and has chosen to continue his dental education by obtaining additional training in dental implants, permanent dentures, Invisalign, single visit crowns and bridges, TMJ, and sleep apnea. Dr. Chisler loves the outdoors. If hes not working out at the gym, hes probably doing something outside. When patients ask him, Why Dentistry? He responds, To me, Dentistry is the perfect profession. I have the ability to work with my hands, stimulate my mind, solve patients problems, and learn something new from people that come from all different backgrounds each and every day I come to the office.
Dr. Chisler and his wonderful wife, Dr. Sara, purchased the practice from Dr. Spandau in September of 2019 and renamed it Detail Dental. Together, they have 6 children: Taylor, Riane, Averi, Anna, Ashley, and AJ. They spend the majority of their time going back and forth between games, musicals, recitals, wedding planning (5 daughters), and of course continuing education.
Dr. Carolynn Spandau graduated from the Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1983. Dr. Spandau has a love for people, which is evident by the quality of her work. She works relentlessly to make sure each and every patient receives the quality care they deserve. Constantly learning, Dr. Spandau has a wealth of knowledge that spans nearly every aspect of our profession. Every minute that she spends in the practice is another opportunity for all of us to grow and develop as clinicians. She is a true asset to the practice and dentistry as a whole.
Dr. Sara Viernes graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2002. Her career in dentistry has led her to opportunities to practice among children, young adults, and very timid adults. She has completed a fellowship in Inter-professional Health education, graduate studies in health informatics, and utilized her clinical practice to assist in publishing research on health informatics. She is a current associate at Peyton Manning Childrens Hospital with the cranio-facial team, and enjoys the challenging aspects of interdisciplinary collaboration. Dr. Sara has recently completed her training through Tufts University School of Dentistry in Dental Sleep Medicine.

I'm very disappointed that I feel that I have to find another dentist. I have been a patient here for twenty years. I forgot an appointment that I had that was for 4pm. Someone from the office called at 4:08 and asked me how long it would take me to get there. I stated 10 minutes. They said I couldn't come in because they don't take late patients after 4:15. So they couldn't give me a three minute grace period? After being transferred to someone else, the office then proceeded to tell me that I would owe a $78 no call no show office fee. I then proceeded to ask why I only got one reminder text on 10/31. Today is 11/7. They stated that if you DON'T press to confirm your appointment, you would get several more text messages PLUS a reminder call the day before. I said that I guess I would find another dentist. Instead of trying to work with me, they just let me go. My mother, father, and other family members also go here. Do not set up an appointment unless you want to feel like a number and not a valued patient for 20 years. I think that this is just absolutely ridiculous and bad customer care.

The staff and Dentists are very thorough and knowledgeable in every aspect of Dentistry. I received excellent care! I will definitely be back and recommend to anyone needing a Dentist to come here! The staff are all so super friendly make you feel very welcome .

Let me start by saying I'm not a fan on dentists. I had an appointment last Thursday, it was honestly one of the greatest experiences I've had in a long time. Every person I came in contact with was professional, friendly, and caring, Dr. Chisler was awesome. I walked out of the place smiling thinking they must have put something in my numbing gel. Lol. Truly recommend Detail Dental.

I have seen both Dr. Chisler and Dr. Spandau. Both are excellent and have taken wonderful care of my teeth. The staff from the front desk to the hygienists are wonderful and put you at ease. I always know if they suggest a treatment plan that it is needed. They are also very good at fitting you in if you have an emergency. If you want excellent dental care this is the office for you!! Update on my review above. My husband had an emergency that involved a tooth coming out of a partial denture. When he called the office he was given an appointment the same day and the repair process was started. They called when it was finished and it was even done a little early. Top notch service from this office and Dr. Chiseler

I have been a patient of Dr. Spandau's since 1986. I had always been afraid of going to the dentist but not so after starting here. They have a wonderful way of making sure everyone is taken care of and they have a top notch team assisting them through every aspect of their excellent service!

I have not ever had a better experience at the dentist!! Amber was my hygienist and she was so wonderful and I just love her personality. Dr. Chisler was amazing and thorough with checking my teeth and making sure everything was good. The women at the front desk made it feel like home and I was so comfortable there. I will be loyal to them as long as I am able.

The staff is very nice. Everyone asking how you are doing even if you are not under their care. All along the way of treatment they ask if you are ok if you need anything. I've been going foe almost 2 years now and they are the same every time

I've been going to Dr Spandeu since 1985, she's the most caring and gentle dentist. DR Chisler is extremely nice too, he hasn't done any work on me yet, but I'm sure he will be great also. All of the staff are very kind and caring they make you feel at ease. This is a great dental office.

Detail Dental has been incredible dealing with my teeth issues. I've needed 2 crowns and they were able to see my quickly and do all of the work there so I didn't need a temporary crown. The staff is amazing and welcoming!
