Nice place friendly people not as good as my other dentist used to have Dental Centers of Pontiac but they only accept private insurance now

Let me just say they are very unprofessional there. The fillings that they did for me fell out within months! My son had a root canal done and they put on a temporary cap on it and we were waiting for the permanent one to come in. It came in and it did not fit and they put him through hell trying to get it on there! They were supposed to order another one and now they won't return my calls and my son is stuck with a bad tooth now and I'm forced to find another dentist! I would not recommend this place to anybody!

Took forever to just get them to answer the phone. Went in and there was 2 doctors both told me 2 different things and then when I went in to get my procedure they told me in office that they don't accept my insurance anymore so I waisted my time even going in

This place is INCREDIBLE!!!!! Such amazing and friendly staff....Dr Thomas so sweet and super fast!!!! I recommend Destiny Dental in Pontiac to EVERYONE!!!! LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!;

My old dentist was AWESOME!! But she's gone now. I didn't have any issues with appts, or the services the new doc performed. But I've been calling for 6days about an infection that was treated, but actually wasn't gone after the antibiotic's we're done. No one answered DURING office hrs. No one returned my calls! Very, very disappointed!!! Had to call my primary.

Office was excellent when I first started going here, but now I can't get anyone to answer the phone or give me a call back. I have left multiple messages with absolutely no response. Appointments are scheduled months out even if it is an urgent need.

Too bad there's no option for 0 Stars! All the staff was very nice but the dentist wasn't professional- didn't address my dental problems- never did a exam on my mouth only looked at the x-rays before doing fillings that all fell out within less than a month, but when went back to address the pain problem from the day prior he said he didn't work on that tooth which he did then he proceeded to tell me he didn't work on that area not wanting to address the pain problem I was having. I put trust in their hands to make sure I was being handled with care & that didn't happen I'll never go back there again. Already found a new dentist Joslyn Smile Center are awesome they even work with patients on a sliding scale basis & they actually care about my dental care also they listen to the patient they're not dismissive of my issues it was very refreshing especially after Destiny dental's dentist who treated me like I didn't matter Guess what I matter!!!

Cleaning lasted two minutes just to bill insurance and xrays were the most painful I ever had.

They don't know how to schedule appointments. The scheduled me 3 months out (I called in January and they schedule me for April) and when that third month finally came, they tried to reschedule me AGAIN for an additional 4 months because they only have 1 dentist in the office. How is that my fault and regardless, I should have priority because I scheduled my appointment 3 months ago. It's bad enough that I had to wait 3 months for an appointment but the fact that you guys want to reschedule me for an additional 4 months is ridiculous.

Update: April 2022: Sadly this place seems to be closed often during weekdays, Pretty solid for a medicaid dentist. Wait times are fair, they can see you in a timely manner if you have a problem, they are up front about pricing and don't just try to rip you off. Dentist was good, low pain.

I was referred to this dentist office by my fiance's sister when I first started going there in 2018 or 2019 they were pretty good dentist office they were open Saturdays they also welcomed walk-ins with no appointment and now it is just ridiculous my son has had two permanent crowns put in and both have fell out even when I attempt to schedule an appointment for them to fix what they have done it is February and they want us to wait until May! I would never recommend the dentist office to anybody it is absurd that you have to wait 2 to 3 months to get in there for another appointment or to even have to wait that long to get something fixed because what was done was done incorrectly! I'm very upset and very disappointed!!!

Polite however very distant in setting appointment time frame is April 26 almost 2 1/2 months from today that doesn't make sense but again she said she only has one dentist on hand so that's still ridiculous but OK specially with all the bad reviews on here as it is you should hire another dentist.

Didn't even make it to the office due to the inept front office staff. I called to ask why my phone call appointment didn't match the text message reminder appointment. There was no apology or acknowledgment for the confusion we are all humans we make mistakes I get it. So I will choose to move on to the next practice that has higher customer service standards.

Dr Nikki and her assistant Dani are excellent! I have had terrible trouble with my health that has affected my teeth. Several other dentists either did terrible work or wanted me to have all of my teeth removed and use dentures - I was only 48 years old, but it was easier for them. I found Destiny Dental and Dr Nikki. s She has been fantastic and has saved all of the teeth that I still had left. She and Dani are exceptionally talented at what they do and are honest and realistic healthcare providers. They have worked with me, as has Melanie, the office manager who is also outstanding, to provide excellent care, save my teeth and make it cost efficient, affordable, and comfortable for me. I can absolutely recommend them if you have dental issues and financial constraints. Dr Nikki, is the best dentist I have had since I was in my teens. She definitely prioritizes her patients and their needs. She recently made time to get me in for an emergency root canal despite the timing of the holidays. You are in good hands if you are in the hands of Dr Nikki, Dani and Melanie.
