Dr. Dhara Shah is a graduate of the New Jersey Dental School, now known as Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. During dental school, she was involved in doing research in the department of restorative dentistry and oral biology. Besides mentoring her fellow juniors, she volunteered in community outreach programs such as Give Kids a Smile and Special Olympics.
After completing a general practice residency at Montefiore, Dr. Shah worked at private practice in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Maryland before moving back to her home town in New Jersey. Her residency and private practice opportunities have greatly expanded her experience in treating patients of all ages and extending her knowledge to the community. She continues to focus on staying up to date with technologies and techniques through continuing education courses for the delivery of quality dental care.
Being a huge philosopher of prevention is better than cure, Dr. Shah always educates and encourages her patients to practice good oral care. Recognizing that each patient is a unique individual, who has placed a great deal of trust in her, Dr. Shah is dedicated to building and valuing each patient relationship. She is passionate about general dental awareness and believes that patients should not only receive the best treatment possible, but that they must also be educated on how to take good care of their oral health.
Dr. Dhaval Vithlani is a graduate of New York University College of Dentistry. After graduation, Dr. Vithlani served the community of Hampden County in Massachusetts and Charles County in Maryland before he finally decided to move to the state New Jersey with his family. His patients often refer to him as Dr. V.
Dr. Vithlanis passion for dentistry grew as he watched his fathers dedication in improving oral health of the community. Dr. Vithlani takes pride in not just being able to help improve patients oral health, but their overall quality of life. Dr. Vithlani believes in listening to each and every patient carefully and building a dentist-patient relationship to maintain and improve lifelong health. He enjoys all aspects of general dentistry. And to ensure that all patients receive the best comprehensive care possible.
Dr Vithlani is an active member of American Dental Association, New Jersey Dental Association and Middlesex County Dental Society Dr. V constantly participates in continuing education courses. He is certified in biological dentistry by American College of Biocompatible health and also trained to remove amalgam fillings under holistic protocol by International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology.
Lourdes has been a dental hygienist for 26 years. She started her career as a dental assistant 12 years prior to pursuing the hygiene program. She enjoys interacting with the patients and educating them on individualized preventive oral health care needs.

The dentists a dental hygienists are very professional and have done a great job keeping my teeth healthy. In addition, I have not experienced any pain while having the variety of procedures done. I highly recommend them.

Lordes has been my hygienist for years and she is careful to make sure I am comfortable with anything she needs to do and very friendly as are both Dr. Shah and Dr. V

The hygienist, Lourdes, is the absolute best! I did not have such a good experience with the husband, but my experience with the wife, Dr. Shah, was excellent. My husband and grandson get services here also and they are well pleased.

I've been a happy patient of Dr Krantz's for more than 20 years. When he retired I was skeptical of the new dentists in the office. My hygienist, Lourdes is absolutely the best so I kept my appointment. I'm so glad that I did. The new dentist, Dr Shah, gave my mouth a thorough examination and identified a problem with an existing cap and said it needed to be replaced. I'm glad she did because my gums had been sensitive in that area for a long time. When I came in for the new cap, I was a little surprised to meet another dentist, Dr V. After asking Dr V for his credentials and being assured by the staff, I let him do the work. He did an absolutely wonderful job. Today I went in for another cleaning and was greeted by Dr Shah and after a good cleaning by Lourdes(the best), Dr V gave me a thorough exam. He even gave me suggestions on brushing techniques for those difficult areas. I feel like I'm in very good hands and am definitely going to remain a client

I really love this place it's actually my first time seeing a dentist in maybe 20 years but they make me feel so comfortable and welcome Crystal at the front desk is really nice so are both dentist and the dental assistant it really feels like family

I was very pleased with my first visit today with my 3 year old who was very very nervous all the staff from the person we met walking in the door to the dentist were wonderful and so patient with my very scared little girl.

Destination Dental Care is your final destination for great dental care. I have been their patient before they opened up their office in Somerset. I have got done crown work, cavity feeling, and teeth cleaning. Completely satisfied with their great professionalism. I always request them for very first appointment in the morning due to nature of my job. When I reach there, they are completely ready to take care of me. Dr. Shah is extremely knowledgeable and informative about her work. I wish I could give more than five stars. I wish them all the best.

My visit to Destination Dental Care was the best dental office visit. Ever. Dr. V and Melissa were awesome in explaining details about the problem tooth, solution options, dental care, and in taking extreme care during the procedure. Most importantly, Dr. V saved the tooth from extraction. Most common dental offices would simply extract and be done with the tooth. All this made the dental care experience exceptionally good. I would highly recommend Destination Dental Care to all needing dental care.

Absolutely love going to Destination Dental. From the first day I came here the staff and doctors have been extremely nice. They care a ton for their patients dental care and given great service. Cristina at the front desk has to be the nicest person that I have come across at a dental office and I have been to many. Truly cannot say anything bad about this dental office.

Destination Dental Care has been a great find for my family. It's amazing to be able to schedule myself and my children's appointments altogether. Crystal is awesome with a great personality and very accommodating when it comes to appointments. Both Dr. Shah and Dr. Vithlani have been great with providing care and communication before any treatments. They provide all the information and options clearly which is much appreciated from a patient perspective. All the dental hygienists have been great. We always leave the office with a smile.

We came to Destination Dental after a horrific experience at another local dentist. Dr. Shah and Dr. V welcomed my entire family with open arms. My kids (two teens and two littles) feel safe and listened to and have had nothing but positive things to say about the staff. My husband and I have also had work done here and have had nothing but great experiences. Even in emergent situations, the staff is accommodating and so helpful. I highly recommend Destination Dental for your entire families needs. They really are truly special.

I absolutely love Destination Dental Care. Everyone who works here is FANTASTIC. The office is clean and they are extremely respectful of your time (you don't have to worry about being seen 2 hours after your appointment time). Dr. Shah and Dr. V are both so professional, kind, personable, and all around excellent at what they do. They take their time and truly care about their patients and it shows in their work. The dental hygienists are also amazing and they do such a good job at cleanings. Rest assured that you are in good hands if you visit this office. You won't be disappointed!
