Dr. Hensley has been licensed to perform dentistry since 1997, and has been practicing in Merrick, New York since 2003. He has been an active member of the Nassau County Dental Society, and has served on the following committees with them; the Board of directors, New dentist, Mentoring, Peer review. He has also been a member of the American Dental Association, and the New York State Dental Association. He has been a Fellow in the academy of General Dentistry, a member of the academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and a member of the academy of Sports Dentistry. Dr. Hensley is also a member of the elite Pankey Continuing Education Institute & continuum. He exceeds the State mandatory continuing education requirements every year; to continue his own high standard of patient care and satisfaction.
Graduated from S.U.N.Y. at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine with his doctorate degree in 1997. Deans Commendation for Academic Achievement: '94, '95, '96. Graduated from S.U.N.Y. at StonyBrook 'cum laude' with his Bachelor of Arts in multidisciplinary studies in 1993. Performed research with the Periodontal Department of S.U.N.Y. StonyBrook Dental School: '92, '93
In 2006, he married his wife Diana and together they started their family, welcoming their first son: Sean Alexander. In 2009, their second son: Ethan Anthony was born. They also have a dog that was imported from Venezuela named 'Turco'. Turco is a very unusual mix, part labrador retriever and part dachshund, but they couldn 't love him more, and he is great around the house and with the kids. They enjoy traveling, especially to the Caribbean on cruise ships anytime, and especially during Halloween. Skiing in the winter, and relaxing on Long Island during the summers.
Dr. Sekuler has been practicing dentistry at our location for over 25 years. He received his undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree from Brooklyn College where he majored in biology and had a dual minor in chemistry and psychology. Dr. Sekuler was awarded a summer research fellowship from the National Institute of Health as well as a Guggenheim Institute doing medical research during his undergraduate and graduate years. He graduated from New York University College of dentistry with a D.D.S. degree. Following dental school Dr. Sekuler served in the US Army as a captain in the Dental Corps for 2 years active and 5 years reserve duty. He has been a member in the Academy of General Dentistry, The International Association of Dental Research, The American Dental Association as well as the Nassau County Dental Society.

Dr. Hensley is a terrific dentist who always lets me know what to expect when I come in to have dental work done. Explains everything fully and is always very sincere. The staff is always pleasant and courteous.

As someone who grew up with a horrible fear of dentists, I love going here! Dr. Hensley and his staff are just top notch. Very professional, courteous, and kind. Making an appointment is super easy, and they make sure you don't forget it once you make it! Emails and texts to remind you of your upcoming appointment are super helpful. Dr. Hensley is a great guy that'll make you feel comfortable in the chair during the whole visit. He also has a very light hand when it comes to checking your teeth, which is part of the reason why I keep coming here! Make this place your go-to dentist's office and you won't regret it.

The nicest dentist I've ever been to! ! Dr. Hensley and his staff do such an amazing job making you feel relaxed and welcomed. Normally I'm very bad with dental work any kind of needles or xrays typically are a huge process but ever since I started seeing Dr. Hensley I can say my fears are gone! From my Invisalign to my routine checks and cleanings he always makes sure I'm good at the end of each visit. Thank you guys for everything :)
