He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from Louisiana State University and continued at LSUs School of Dentistry, where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery Degree and Certificate in Orthodontics.
Dr. Benton is board-certified and was the first orthodontist in Calhoun County to become a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He was also the first to bring the innovative Damon Braces System to Calhoun County.
Dr. Barry continued his education at the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry where he received his Certificate in Orthodontics and Master of Science in Dentistry. In the summer of 2016, Dr. Barry joined Dr. Benton (his father) at Designer Smiles by Benton.
Dr. Barry enjoys fishing, serving alongside church family, computers and technology, cooking, and gardening. Dr. Barry also shares his love for baseball as a volunteer coach for a local high school baseball team.
Dr. Chauncey received his Bachelor of Science degree in public health from Brigham Young University in 2015. He went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree, graduating Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2019. Following graduation from dental school, he attended residency at the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry where he received a Certificate in Orthodontics and Master of Science in Dentistry in 2021.
Dr. Chauncey married his wife, Kailee, in 2013. They both grew up in Las Vegas, NV but first met while attending college in Utah. They have two sons, Cooper and McKay, and enjoy spending time with them playing at home or at a park whenever possible.
Dr. Chauncey loves all sports but is especially a huge fan of college football and Atlanta Braves baseball. He also spent two years following his freshman year of college serving a church mission in the Philippines, where he became fluent in Tagalog.

The Doctor and staff are amazing! This was our first visit and we got braces on the same day for my daughter! They were so patient with explaining everything to us. They made us feel so welcome!

Idk why a dog would be at a orthodontist business but it's not a good look. I wouldn't want anyone touch and petting a dog and after all in my mouth! I'm sorry but if i could give a no stars i would. If you ok with dogs being some where you're getting your mouth worked in at then this is perfect for you but i find this very much disgusting! I don't even say they don't be rubbing all on the dog everyday because I'm sure they do!

This place is absolutely AMAZING!! As I was getting my braces, my sweet HANNAH HAWKINS kept me calm as I was having a small panic attack. She was very polite, encouraging, and concerned about me during the entire process. My braces feel great and it didn't take them long at all to put them on.
