He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from Louisiana State University and continued at LSUs School of Dentistry, where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery Degree and Certificate in Orthodontics.
Dr. Benton is board-certified and was the first orthodontist in Calhoun County to become a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He was also the first to bring the innovative Damon Braces System to Calhoun County.
Dr. Barry continued his education at the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry where he received his Certificate in Orthodontics and Master of Science in Dentistry. In the summer of 2016, Dr. Barry joined Dr. Benton (his father) at Designer Smiles by Benton.
Dr. Barry enjoys fishing, serving alongside church family, computers and technology, cooking, and gardening. Dr. Barry also shares his love for baseball as a volunteer coach for a local high school baseball team.
Dr. Chauncey received his Bachelor of Science degree in public health from Brigham Young University in 2015. He went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree, graduating Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2019. Following graduation from dental school, he attended residency at the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry where he received a Certificate in Orthodontics and Master of Science in Dentistry in 2021.
Dr. Chauncey married his wife, Kailee, in 2013. They both grew up in Las Vegas, NV but first met while attending college in Utah. They have two sons, Cooper and McKay, and enjoy spending time with them playing at home or at a park whenever possible.
Dr. Chauncey loves all sports but is especially a huge fan of college football and Atlanta Braves baseball. He also spent two years following his freshman year of college serving a church mission in the Philippines, where he became fluent in Tagalog.

Best people, best atmosphere, they have an office dog. Literally a breeze getting braces. Such sweet people. Did I mention they have an office dog?! That's enough reason alone to go!! They seriously made my experience getting braces the best!

We couldn't be more proud to be apart of the Benton design family once more. This is our 3rd child to have braces and we will never go anywhere else. They always welcome you with a smiling face and always there to answer any questions or concerns you may have.They are very compassionate about what they do.Teddy is a great asset to the company as well, he is so sweet and loving and really helps the smaller children feel less scared of the unknown. Thank you all so much for all you do. A very special thank you to Hannah for calming Harleys fear. She made sure she told her everything that was going on and how it worked.making Harley laugh to talking to her the whole way through.

Been dealing with designer smile by Benton for a few years now my daughter Emmalee is on phase 2 of braces and honestly can say never had a bad experience. Her last visit Brooke McFarland made my daughter more comfortable than she has ever been and it was very much appreciated. Brooke is amazing and was awesome with my daughter

We have used Dr. Benton for two of our children and have been very satisfied with both results! The staff are always friendly and helpful! They offer family discounts which is a plus, and they have a therapy dog!!!!
