Dr. Rutman earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1980 from the University of Minnesota. Prior to that, he attended high school in St. Louis Park and attended the University of Minnesota for his undergraduate degree earning a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. Dr. Rutman is a current member of the Crow Wing County Dental Society, the American Dental Association and the Minnesota Dental Association.
Dr. Rutman is a caring and compassionate dentist who has volunteered on dental mission trips throughout his career. He has visited Guatemala and Africa regularly to provide much needed dental care, also participating in local community services including Give Kids a Smile Day which is founded through the American Dental Association to give children in need free dental care. Dr. Rutman values quality dentistry, fixing problems and improving his patients lives. He has a meticulous nature which ensures beautiful smiles for all of his clients. His pride in his work shows in his amazing results produced.
Dr. Taylor earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1991. She grew up in St. Cloud, Minnesota in a family of 8. She graduated from Cathedral High School. After high school, she attended the University of Minnesota earning her Bachelor of Science degree followed by the Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. She is a member of The American Dental Association, The Minnesota Dental Association and the Crow Wing Dental Society.
Dr. Taylor has a great sense of humor, but is very attentive and precise when it comes to her dentistry work. She is a skilled, knowledgeable and experienced dentist, and is very detail oriented. Whether fabricating beautiful, flawless crowns or veneers for a patient or treating an infected, painful tooth, she takes great care in every situation. She especially enjoys the esthetic and implant aspect of dentistry and this is evident by the brilliant, flawless results seen in her patients. The needs of her patients will always be foremost for Dr. Taylor. She is especially patient withpatients who are not comfortable with dental treatment.
Participating in martial arts for over 20 years, Dr. Taylor is a 5th degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do which she earned from DeWitt Martial Arts in Brainerd Minnesota.Outside of the dental office, Dr. Taylor enjoys running with her dog, cooking and especially traveling and spending time with her husband and three grown children.
Dr. Tran earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2016 from the University of Minnesota. Originally from Da Nang, Vietnam, she moved to the United States in 2006, earning a Bachelor of Science degree while majoring in chemistry at Georgia State University. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Minnesota Dental Association, Spear Education, Dental Practice Mastery, and Implant Pathway.
Dr. Tran has a bubbly, charismatic personality that is infectious to be around. Her passions in dentistry are constantly evolving, as she is continuously immersing herself in a variety of top-notch continuing education courses that allow her to confidently offer a variety of services for her patients. Recently, Dr. Tran has devoted her time to studying implant placement, orthodontics, as well as tongue tie and lip tie procedures in infants and young children. Growing up in Vietnam, Dr. Tran recalls her own traumatic dental experiences as a child - including tooth extractions on the side of the road! Recounting her own dental experiences, Dr. Tran has a greater understanding for those that experience dental anxiety, and as a result, an improved sense of empathy and compassion for her patients. Dr. Tran takes great pride in the meticulous, comprehensive nature in which she approaches each case, with quality and patient satisfaction being of utmost importance; and although she loves the clinical aspects of the dental profession, Dr. Trans greatest joy results from developing lasting relationships with her patients and interacting with them on a daily basis.

Had a routine cleaning and exam here last week. Receptionist, hygienist and Dr. Tran were all very pleasant. No weird evil tooth fairy vibes at this office. My next routine cleaning is already scheduled. My family of 6 will all be going here soon!

I went to Design Dentistry on March 2 for my periodic exam and cleaning, I've been going to this office for 10 years now, and the staff is always very friendly, helpful and professional. During all of my time going there, I've been seeing Dr. Taylor and she is a WONDERFUL dentist! I would recommend her to anyone. Also, Tracy is a great hygienist!

Dr. Rutman and Marie are amazing!! It was my sons first time and Marie was just the sweetest, patient and kind to him. She showed him all the tools and he got more comfortable. I couldn't ask for a better dental hygienist and dentist for my family.

This place discriminates against families as well as stalks out clients via Facebook and other social media to judge them and discriminate against them. They are rude, unprepared and never on time with appointments. To show up for a cleaning and still not be seen two an a half hours past the time of appointment is absolutely inexcusable!! I had heard nothing but great things about them originally but I've learned that they delete the bad reviews to save face And they are a very snooty business who are not responsible, respectful or professional..

This is the best Dentist office in town with the most caring and friendly staff. You can't find any better place. I've been a customer here for neely 30 years now. I've never had any bad experience ever here. There are great with kids also

Marie, as always, did a very thorough cleaning. My teeth are sparkling and feel fantastic! When I need more than cleaning, Dr. Rutman is gentle and painless. I've been a very satisfied patient for more than 20 years.

I have sleep apnea and have used a few different options for an oral application. My old one wore out and I thought my only option was to spend over $4,000 on a new one. Another dental office in town was insisting I needed to pay a $1,500 cash down payment even with insurance. Rutman set me up with one that was more comfortable, worked great and was a fraction of the cost!
