Dr. Romay graduated from Pontifical Mother and Child in Dominican Republic in 1993 with a D.D.S. and in 1995 earned a D.M. D. degree from Boston University ( Goldman School of Dentistry ). In the past, he has donated his time and experience at Lindsey Hopkins providing dental care to the needy.
He has also lectured at local schools and community school meetings to educate in maintaining oral health. He earned his Implantology certification in 2002 and is a current member of ICOI for Implantology . He is also a member of the Florida Dental Society , Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry , Local Study Clubs and American Dental Society .
Dr. Romay earned his Invisalign Certification in 2000 and has kept current with the continuing education requirements by attending annual national dental conventions. Dr. Romay keeps current with all advances in dentistry and the latest in technology by Internet and publications.
Dr Martha Barrera was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia later immigrating to Miami, Fl in 1988. Dr Barrera graduated from Colombia Dental College in 1981 with a D.D.S. degree and revalidated her degree in the USA in 1997.
Although she is a General Dentist, she also provides services in Endodontics, Prosthodontics and Oral Surgery. She has continuously provided dental care for the underprivileged for over 18 years at Florida Institute for Advanced Dental Education .
She is a member of the American Dental Association , Ceola Hello and Volunteer Faculty Florida Institute keeping herself updated with all advances in dentistry by taking courses. Dr. Barrera is continuing her education requirements by attending dental conventions, publications and internet technology.
After fleeing from my native country where I was a Dentist, I moved to the United States earning my Registered Hygienist degree. It is of great importance to me to inform our patients the importance of Oral Hygiene. On my spare time I enjoy spending it with my husband & son as well as traveling.
Originally from Cuba where I was a Dentist and later moved to the USA where I became a Registered Hygienist. I Strive to ensure our patients always feel 100% informed. There's nothing more gratifying to me then educating our patients. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my son, mother and pet Nala.
Ive been in the dental field for 25 years, and the most important lesson Ive learned that you cant do it alone, it takes team work to accomplish great things and that's what I have with my team. When away from the office, I enjoy my time with my husband, children & grandchildren. My favorite place to be is the ocean where I find serenity and peace.
I started my dental career as a Dental Assistant with expanded duties and I'm currently the Assistant Office Manager. I enjoy the team I work with and feel lucky to be able to build relationships with patients. On my days off I like spending time with my pet Princess, going out with friends and traveling.
Graduated from Compu-Med Vocational Careers as a Dental Assistant with expanded duties. My favorite part of assisting is seeing the change cosmetic dentistry brings to our patients. I enjoy spending time with my husband and also like gardening & traveling.

The least professional dentist I have ever seen. Very rude. He tells you your diagnosis in front of other patients, he even shouts it in the clinic when that is illegal. I never come again, and you shouldn't work with Costumer Service. My worst experience at the dentist. Marta Barrera You should learn to give a private diagnosis to patients and not shout it out in the clinic like you did with me, it was quite unpleasant.

The staff was phenomenal. I have never visited a dentist office whose head dentist and staff are all as kind and supportive as those who helped me today. The office itself is clean, organized, aesthetically pleasing, and decorated beautifully for the season. The care I've received at this practice is superior to any that I have visited in Kendall. With just my first visit, I was positive that this office would be my primary office for dental care. I have always been terrified of the dentist but upon walking into this office, the receptionist was eager to welcome me, they confirmed all my information in a timely manner and i was brought inside within minutes. The dental assistant was very warm and caring and the hygienists have extraordinary hands! I felt that my cleaning was very detailed, professional and not to mention painless! Dr. Romay is extremely knowledgeable in his profession and also provides a sense of comfort and ease that i will be in good hands. I truly felt like a valued patient by not only Dr. Romay but his entire staff. Highly recommend this practice to anyone!

This office invites to come in...is so modern and bright..the entire staff is very professional..the dentist is amazing and has silk hands ..no pain at all!!! I also had a cleaning with Mileidys after the dental work..she is stunning!!! I highly recommend this office..very satisfied patient!!!

I absolutely adore this office. Dr. Martha Barrera made my front teeth crowns amazingly ... people always ask me about my beautiful teeth and for sure my confidence is back. Dr Martha did a fantastic job in the maintenance of my oral health with her special and lovely way to talked about hygiene advice and explained things so well. Nancy the dental assistant is amazing with her attitude and constant readiness for the job. The front desk Tatiana always has a smile on and treats you with so much respect. From the moment I walked into the office, I was greated with a warm welcomed. Very little wait time and a very pleasant service. As soon as I met Dr. Romay in the examination room , I felt in total confidence as he walk me through my treatment. He was very detailed on my procedure and asnwered all my questions and the same goes for their hygienist. She was very detailed and patient during my visit. Outstanding staff, very friendly and very helpful. Looking forward to my next appointment.

The Design a Smile team is wonderful. The office is always kept up nice and clean. The staff is very welcoming. I love that I receive appointment reminders which helps me keep track of my cleanings.
