Dr. Deshmukh is a native St. Louisan. He attended Parkway West High School and St. Louis University prior to starting dental school at Washington University. He completed his dental studies in 1992 from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dental Medicine. In June 1994 he completed his periodontal and implant training from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Deshmukh has been in private practice since 1994. He has also taught at SIU Dental School in Alton as a Clinical instructor and given lectures in the U.S. and India, in conjunction with the Indian Dental Association. He donates his time and skills to the community by volunteering at health fairs and allowing students to shadow him. Dr. Deshmukh has also been involved with mission trip to Honduras to serve those who do not have access to dental care.
Dr. Deshmukh and his lovely wife have two children. He is involved with his children's activities, like helping coach baseball, soccer and robotics. His hobbies include cooking, photography, travel and he is a big foodie.
Dr. Deshmukh is a member ofthe American Academy of Periodontology, American Dental Association, Missouri Dental Association, St. Louis Central Dental Study Club, fellow of International College of Dentists, Indian Medical Counsel, President of the St. Louis Central Dental Study Club and Former Secretary for 23 years of the Southwest Counties District of the Greater St. Louis Dental Society.
Cindy has been working in the dental field for 40 years.Cindy has worked in every aspect of dentistry, from chairside to front desk.Cindy enjoys working with patients and their familiesas she herself has 3 grown children and 8 grand children.Cindyenjoys bowling, camping, fishing and spending time with her family in her spare time.Cindy has been a part of our team since 2012.
Chrissy studied Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene at Lewis and Clark Community College in Godfrey, IL. Chrissy received her Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene in December 2000. She continued her education at the University of Missouri-St. Louis and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English in 2009. Chrissy has been the hygienist at Periodontal Specialists since 2003.
Chrissy was born and raised just across the river in Illinois and still lives near her hometown with her two sons. In her spare time, Chrissy enjoys attending her sons sporting events and activities, golfing, and baking. She serves on the PTO board for her sons school, volunteers at her church, and is a cheerleading coach.
