My name is Lance Swapp. My family left colorful Colorado, and moved here after falling in love with the beautiful red rocks of St. George, and to be closer to our family. My wife and I are blessed with three beautiful children, and are thrilled for our new life here.
We created Desert Hills Dental to be different than many other offices are today. Our purpose is to provide a happy, healthy smile, with patient centered care; while keeping the integrity of a private owned office, where we hope to build a trusted relationship for years to come.
Our newly remodeled office is sure to make you feel comfortable, and well cared for. From the moment you walk in the door, we want you to feel welcome and at home, you'll be part of Desert Hills Dental family.
We understand that there are many barriers to patients getting the care they need and deserve. Some barriers include fear, finances, time and education. Our goal is to do community outreach educating those in need and dispelling common fears, and to work at affordable prices.
Dr. Swapp received his Doctorate in Oral Medicine from the University of Michigan, the nation's #1 rated dental school. He has spent the last several years working in a rural community dental office, where he was able to experience a high volume and variety of procedures. He sold his successful office in Colorado for the chance to be closer to family. In a constant effort to improve, and because of his passion for patient care, Dr. Swapp dedicates time out of the office pursuing the latest developments in technology and treatment modalities. He participates in many continuing education courses, much more than required, for opportunities to serve a variety of needs, including implants, aesthetics, dentures, and orthodontia.

If you are looking for a Dentist, or you have been thinking about changing from your current Dentist, I highly recommend Dr Lance Swapp at Desert Dental. Not to long ago he sold his previous practice to move closer to family in St George. His current practice seems to be growing at a steady pace. This is an ideal time to get established. I made the switch about six months ago. For me, and my wife, we are really pleased. We were both able to get in right away. You will first meet Patricia at the front desk. She is very personable and more than willing to accommodate your needs. When first meeting Dr Swapp you may be taken aback slightly. He is approximately 6`7". However, you will immediately be put at ease with his warm smile, sincerity, and overall manner. As a dentist I couldn't be more pleased. Sometime after my first appointment I had an emergency. I called Patricia and got in early the following morning. Emergency resolved in under 30 minutes. Again, I am so pleased with Dr Swapp I would give him six stars if possible.

I drive up from Las Vegas for the staff and dentist! Best around! Time flies by here. And to be honest kind of hard to leave when all is done. Haha. Knowledgeable, kind and fun!

Had a great experience, Dr. Swapp looked at my teeth for free to give me a second opinion on a crown recommended to me by another dentist. He was a nice guy. Definitely recommend.

My husband needed an emergency appointment due to a wisdom tooth infection. Desert hills squeezed us in and made us feel super welcomed. I totally recommend them :)

Dr Swapp was so careful and kind. I have had bad experiences before when I am not able to get numb and the Dr. listened to me and was able to get me numb all the way. He did a great job and the whole staff is great!

Dr. Swapp went out of his way to make my kids feel comfortable and explained everything at their different levels so that they knew what to expect. He was flexible and helped my husband when he had a dental emergency. I was always impressed with our care, and felt like we were all treated like real people, not just patients.

I've enjoyed coming to Desert Hills Dental and getting to know Dr. Swapp and his staff. They've been attentive and professional, of course, but also aware of special needs of their patients. Small things like glasses to block the spray of water, a cushion to raise your head and extra anesthetic for those patients who need it (I had a root canal and my teeth are particularly sensitive) They also sent me home with some cookies, which was a nice personal touch. Thanks to you, Dr. Swapp and your whole staff, for working with me, my schedule and my unruly teeth.
