Bahram Brian Shahangian, DDS Lecturer & Faculty Member at UCLA Dr. Brian Shahangian received his high school diploma in Paris, France. After attending the medical university of Salpetriere Paris VI, he has earned his doctorate in dental surgery from University Rene Descarts Paris V. He has obtained his California License in 1996 and since then he has accomplished extensive post graduate training in esthetic, implant and restorative dentistry such as: Advanced Esthetic Dentistry Continum from UCLA Advanced Implant Thearpy from UCLA Mini Residency in Placement and Restoration of Implant from Noble Biocare Implant Institute Preferred Provider for Invisalign, Invisalign Certificate II (Advanced) and Certificate I Dr. Brian Shahangian is currently a faculty member and teacher at UCLA, Restorative Department, and he is practicing part time in his private practice. He is standing member of Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Bita Shahangian has over 15-years experience as a cosmetic dentist. She uses states of the art products and materials, as well as the newest techniques, including the advanced use of digital imaging which enables her patients to preview their smile prior to the start of treatment and the use of sophisticated digital x-ray and intra-oral imaging to treat her patients. She is dedicated to the newest advancements in cosmetic dentistry and keeps up-to-date with the latest technologies. She is frequently among the first dentist to perfect and use the newer, more advanced techniques and equipment.
Our office is conveniently located on Lankershim Blvd. and is accessible via all the major roads. We are proud of our office which fully utilize state of the art equipment. We have a modern sterilization system that surpasses OSHA requirements.

Desert Dental! The staff here is amazing, I've had nothing but positive expiriences from them and I'm happy to finally have a Dentist I can trust. Shervin is the hygienist who takes care of my cleanings and leaves my teeth so fresh and healthy! Scheduling is a breeze and is accommodating to my busy schedule. I've been coming to this dental office for years and I have always been satisfied with the dental services Dr. Bita and her staff have provided. The entire staff here is friendly and helpful. Appointment reminders are sent via text which makes confirming or cancelling a breeze. Estimates are always provided beforehand to ensure the patient knows what to expect. Highly recommend!

"One of the best dental offices I have had in my life" Every time I go my visits are pleasant and I get the best care available, the staff is top notch and are always making sure that I am kept up with all of my appointments and cleanings. I know that people get afraid when they hear that they need work done, but at Desert Dental you can be rest assured that your visits here will be comforting and stress free. I actually catch myself snoozing when work is being done to me so that right there is proof that they are one of the best out there. Located in North Hollywood next to Leash, the parking is ample, office is one of the most stylish I've ever come across, and the staff are super friendly and courteous!. If you are looking for a dental office that won't scare you away from getting your work done on your teeth trust me this place is what you need you'll thank me later.

I was really hopeful about Dr. Bita. She came highly recommended and seems like she has a great practice. Unfortunately she seemed hesitant to treat me. I came in with some dental pain and some anxiety about the pain and I thought that she would be able to resolve it. She was kind, but very dismissive and did not want to diagnose me or examine my teeth. However, when I went somewhere else, they were able to diagnose me ( a cracked filling) and treated me quickly and cheaply. I am thinking of trying Dr. Bita again as I found her doctor's office pleasant as well as her staff. And she seems very knowledgable overall, just not with me. Though I was disappointed with her treatment of me, I think she has a great office and a great staff and I would recommend to give her a try. Just maybe start with a cleaning and not a dental emergency.

God awful experience. This is undoubtedly the WORST dental experience I have ever had. I paid 6k for Invisalign and crowns. The Invisalign trays came and TWICE they did not fit. The second time the dentist INSISTED on removing brackets which he was POSITIVE were the culprit. Nada. I got my money back. The more aggregious incident was that I now have a massive infection under the crown. I have been in pain since he placed the temporary . I think k he cracked it with the unskilled drilling . I kept telling him FOR MONTHS that It hurt and he dismissed me every time . He is a condescending, gaslighting little toad. AVOID

It's my 2nd time here and from staff to Doctors everyone welcomes you with smiling faces and warm atmosphere. I used zoom teeth whitening and it's very effective. It made my tooth color jump 4 level up to the brightest. I will definitely come back here for filling and other dental needs. Highly recommended.

Dr Bita has been taking care of my smile for the past 15 years. Desert Dental is the only place I recommend when people ask me if I know a good dentist. I have referred friends and family here. We all love it. They always work with me and my schedule to keep my smile bright. Years ago Dr Bita changed out my metal fillings for composite. I couldn't be happier with the result.
