Dr. DeSenze received his pre-dental undergraduate B.S. and postgraduate D.D.S. degrees from Ohio State University. A practicing dentist since 1986, Dr. DeSenze opened his current location in Pompano Beach in 1996, and specializes in general and cosmetic dental services.
National Dental Board Affiliation: Dr. DeSenze has just completed his third year as a National Dental Board Examiner with the CDCA. The CDCA (The Commission on Dental Competency Assessments) is the organization that that tests graduating Dental Students and Dental Hygiene students. Students must pass a rigorous clinical patient oriented exam to be granted a License to practice their profession when they graduate from their professional schools. Without this license they can not enter the public sector to provide Dental care to patients. Dr DeSenze and other CDCA examiners are actively present on the clinic floor to oversee and actually grade each student on their clinical performance. The students compile a grade based on different aspects with emphasis on quality of care, that grade then determines whether they are granted licensure to practice Dentistry.
Born in Brazil, Katy lived in Connecticut for 12 years before moving to Florida in 2011. She attended Fones School of Dental Hygiene at University of Bridgeport, Connecticut and has been in the dental field for 12 years. Her experience as a Dental Assistant prior to Dental Hygiene school strengthened her abilities as a Hygienist, it helped her relate easily and comfortably with all types of people and to appreciate each persons uniqueness. She enjoys working with people and helping patients achieve their optimal oral health.
Happily married and the mother of 4 children, Melissa graduated as a Dental Assistant in 1996. She specialized in Pediatric Dental services for many years prior to joining DeSenze Dentistry & Associates in May, 2020. I love my career, and I enjoy working with people.
A New York native, Susie Manobianco relocated to Florida with her family at age fifteen. She has over 15 years of experience in the medical/dental profession with expertise in insurance, billing and customer relations. Fluent in Spanish, Italian and English, Susie is a great asset for our patients. Her passion for her job and our patients allows her to go above and beyond to make certain all of a patients needs are met. Susie is truly a team player and a great addition to our professional office staff.

GENERAL DENTISTRY: A General Dentist refers to the primary care provider for patients in all age groups who take responsibility for the diagnosis, treatment, management of overall services to meet patients oral health needs. These oral health care needs include fillings, crowns, veneers, bridges, root canals, tooth removal, root canals and gum care.
CROWNS: A dental crown is a tooth-shaped cap that is placed over a tooth. With immediate dentures, the denture wearer does not have to be without teeth during the healing period. Even if you wear full dentures, you still must take good care of your mouth. Brush your gums, tongue and palate every morning with a soft-bristled brush before you insert your dentures to stimulate circulation in your tissues and help remove plaque.

OMG!!! I have been to a lot of dentists in my life but I have never been one that was anywhere near Dr. DeSenze... without a question and without a doubt the absolute finest. I went to Dr. DeSenze and he went over and beyond. I called the office on Sunday afternoon asking them to contact me as soon as they could and to extreme surprise I receive a call from the doctor himself that afternoon... Yeah! The Doctor himself. Asked how I was doing and wanted to get me in asap. The Doctor was genuinely concerned with your problem which in my case had been going for more than a week. I had a bone spur from a previous extraction that another dentist could not fix in 5 visits. The bone spur had severely lacerated my tongue and the area around the gum was extremely inflamed and ulcerized. I don't want to name... names but all I can say is that their name rhymes with cASPEN. I was not able to eat, drink, talk or swallow for over week withban issue the other dentist could not fix it. Dr. DeSenze in one visit had it fixed and that afternoon I was without the pain. If you have any doubt at all about a dentist... done doubt! Dr. DeSenze is the most genuinely caring and incredibly gifted dentist I have ever come across. I am a patient for life with Dr.DeSenze... and the staff is super incredible... what a positive experience all around. Don't make a mistake... go see Dr. DeSenze

I highly recommend this office. The dental hygienist, Katyanne, did a fantastic job. Best and most thorough cleanings I have ever had. I also appreciated that nobody tried to sell me anything extra. I have been to places, especially here in S. Florida, that try to push deep cleaning or other treatments. It felt good to walk into a place that did not feel like a used car lot. Dr. Desenze is also very knowledgeable and personable. He runs a great business with very professional staff.

I hate to admit that it has been some time since the last time I was at the dentist. A close friend of mine told me about Dr. DeSenze Dentistry, I went ahead and found them on FB but it was months before I called to make that first appointment. When I finally brought myself to call, I was told they had no appointments till a couple of weeks. I was so bummed but the lady who answered the phone said if any appointments open up she will call me. ( I was doubtful) Not even 2 hrs later I received a call that I could come in the very next day. I was pleasantly surprised. She seemed happy to get me in. Which was nice! When I got there, I must of sat for a whole 2 minutes. Katyanne was my hygienist. She is so easy to talk to, I told her how nervous I was. And by the end of my appointment I felt like I made a new friend. She was amazing!!!! Gentle, quick and very sweet. When it was my turn to see Dr. DeSenze he was very nice as well. I go back in 3 months and I'm looking forward to it. My teeth feel great. I am excited to start getting my cleanings every 6 months. I recommend this office to EVERYONE. I got a sense that they do not concentrate on quantity but QUALITY service. The office is very calming and clean. I will tell everyone about this dentist office! Thanks again to the staff! See you soon.

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. DeSenze's since he started his practice. After my last visit, due to our move out of state, I sat in my car and cried over the prospect of leaving such a caring practitioner. Right from the start, he corrected a problem I had with a mouthguard recently fitted by the former dentist. Dr. DeSenze replaced it and fitted it correctly. Years later he and his staff treated my father (dying of lung cancer at the time) so compassionately while they made sure his dentures would fit without discomfort. It took four visits (dentures back & forth to lab for adjustments) during which the staff worked in an office with the AC turned way up so that my father wouldn't be too cold. After the final fitting my father was able to transfer himself from a hospital bed, to his wheelchair and wheeled himself to the dinner table where he enjoyed solid food (we got his favorite Chinese takeout) for the first time in a long time. Little did we know, that would be his last meal. Later that night he was taken safely home to heaven. We will be forever grateful to Dr. DeSenze and all his staff. Now that we're looking for a dentist in our new home state, we can only hope for one that is half as good as Dr. DeSenze.

I had two teeth that were fractured. Dr. DeSenze placed crowns on both teeth quickly and painlessly. I am very happy with the results and recommend DeSenze Dentistry highly.

Just Excellent!! No waiting time, friendly staff and Dr. Desenze is not only an excellent Dentist but a great person. First, took the time to listen and then took plenty of time to explain everything it needed to be done at a fair price. I have been a patient for many years.
