Growing up I knew I wanted to do something in healthcare due to my fathers career as a Podiatrist. I always noticed a persons smile first and I enjoyed working with my hands, cosmetic and general dentistry, and problem-solving, so Dentistry was a great fit for me. I believe in treating patients in a kind and respectful way in order to create the healthy, confident smile they deserve. I am constantly striving to provide the highest standard of care I can to achieve predictable and long-lasting results.
As a native of Iowa, I attended the University of Iowas College of Dentistry and graduated in 2011. My wife and I moved to Oregon after graduation and have called Bend home since 2013. Since graduation, I have continued my education by pursuing high-quality education such as the world-renown Kois Center in Seattle, WA. This rigorous curriculum not only focuses on how to fix an issue but also on why there is a dental problem. By focusing on the why, it is possible to create more predictable and longer-lasting care for my patients.
Outside of the office, I enjoy hiking with my wife Emina and our two golden doodles. I also enjoy golfing, cycling, and running around the immense number of beautiful areas of Bend that we get to call home.
Dr. Phillippe Freeman has been practicing cosmetic dentistry in Bend, OR since 1995. He graduated from Oregon Health Sciences University with restorative dentistry and implant dentistry honors. He has concentrated on aspiring to perform restorative dentistry. He has concentrated on aspiring to perform restorative dentistry at a level most dentists would prefer for themselves, which means breaking from the routine business model for doing dentistry. This is exemplified by the warranties Dr. Freeman offers on his services, many of which are not seen in a typical dental practice. Dr. Freeman is a participant of many post-graduate programs in the area of restorative, implant, prosthetic, and cosmetic dentistry while studying full-mouth rehabilitation concepts and dental materials.
In 2017, Dr. Phillippe Freeman received a Masters Certificate from the Academy of General Dentistry. The AGD is the governing body that tracks and provides credentials for dentists who wish to continue their education. In order to obtain a Masters Certificate, a dentist must first earn Fellowship status, which alone requires 500 hours of continued education in every aspect of dentistry. Earning the Fellowship status also involves undergoing a rigorous board exam. After this, 1,100 hours of approved hands-on trainingalong with continued educationis required to obtain the Masters status.
Dr. Freeman married his wife in the summer of 1990 and has two daughters, born in 1991 and 1995. Both daughters have kept him busy attending sporting events throughout their childhood while maintaining a busy continuing education and professional schedule.
I am a central Oregon native and I graduated from the Dental Assisting program at COCC in June of 1999. I fell in love with my husband over 19 years ago and I have been happily married for 10 years now.
My playful dogs are like my children. I have been with the practice since we opened in 2001. After 14 years of assisting with Dr. Freeman chair side I have changed my job position and duties. I am now our Office Manager. You might see me out hiking or walking the river trail. Yearly trips to Las Vegas, exercising, hunting and spending time with friends are just a few of the activities I enjoy outside of work. My favorite thing about being part of the Deschutes Dental family is helping the patients understand their treatment and have a comfortable, pain free experience. Overall, I love the relaxed friendly atmosphere and beautiful setting of the office, as well as the exceptional care we provide our patients.
