Since July 2001, Dr. DeSanti has been in private practice at his current location. He is a career-long member of the American Dental Association. In addition to being a member of the New York State Dental Association, Dr. DeSanti has also served as a Delegate and Alternate Delegate of the organization. Currently, he serves on the Executive Committee of the Third District Dental Society of New York, as well as holding the position of Albany County Chairman of the Peer Review Committee. In 2020, Dr. DeSanti was awarded the William B. Smith Award by the Third District Dental Society for his continued involvement in organized dentistry, continuing education, and displaying the highest ethical standards.
In June 2014, Dr. DeSanti earned the Fellowship Award of the Academy of General Dentistry. The AGD Fellowship Award is presented to dentists who seek to provide the highest quality of dental care by remaining current in their profession. To earn this prestigious honor, Dr. DeSanti completed 500 hours of continuing education, passed a comprehensive written examination, and continues to maintain his membership with the AGD.
In 2015, Dr. DeSanti was honored to be nominated for Fellowship in the American College of Dentists. The mission of the ACD is to advance excellence, ethics, professionalism, and leadership in dentistry. After being awarded Fellowship in November 2015 in Washington, DC, it is expected that Dr. DeSanti will uphold and promote the principles and objectives of the College, strive for personal and professional improvement, as well as continuing to contribute to organized dentistry and the community.
Dr. DeSanti is also a member of the Capital District Continuum for Advanced Dental Education (CDCADE), a local component member of the international Seattle Study Club. The membership ideals of this club are coincident with those of DeSanti Family Dentistry as this group of doctors is dedicated to the advancement of dental team treatment planning and total case management as the ultimate tool for achieving ideal comprehensive care. In 2015, Dr. DeSanti was honored to receive the CDCADE Award for Cultivating Excellence in Comprehensive Dentistry.
Dr. Michael DeSanti, Sr. was raised in Bayside, Queens, New York. After graduating from Mater Christi High School in 1965, he attended the City College of New York on a New York State Regents Scholarship. In 1973, he completed his D.D.S. degree at New York University School of Dentistry. Upon graduating, Dr. DeSanti served as a Captain in the U.S. Army, stationed at Fort Polk, Louisiana for two years.
In 1975, Dr. DeSanti relocated to the Capital District to begin his career in private practice. Since that time, he practiced general dentistry at the same Sand Creek Road location. He is a Life Member of the American Dental Association and the New York State Dental Association.

I have been a patient for at least 30 years and always receive outstanding service. Carol has been my hygienist since I started there. She is such a pleasure and makes my dental appointment very relaxing and comfortable. Dr. DeSanti and Dr. Linden are excellent.

From the front desk(Alicia) to the highly trained hygienist Elana, a visit to DeSanti Family Dentistry is a wonderful way to take care of your oral health and overall heart health as well. The experience is comfortable, educational and encouraging to continue with regular checkups. Dr. DeSanti spends time checking for oral cancer, tmj, and overall oral health with his pleasant personality and makes you feel like you are his only patient. They may be accepting new patients so don't delay making an appointment!

I had an issue with a root canal on Wednesday and reported to Dr. Linden on Thursday morning. I was seen immediately and the problem was resolved. This office always makes the patient the priority. They are professional, considerate and available. I am grateful for this practice.

I recently moved to this area, and am so happy to have been recommended to Dr DeSanti. He is absolutely wonderful! The entire experience of DeSanti Dental is very positive. Every step of the way was excellent, from responding to my call, being so pleasant on the phone, to booking the appointment, to directing me to their web site to fill out all the comprehensive forms so the dentist will have the best possible picture of my dental and medical situation. The office is very nice and clean, and the actual treatment room I was in was also spotlessly clean. Every piece of equipment had a new plastic cover. Even the keyboard and the mouse had a plastic cover on them. They are following the infection control guidelines above and beyond to the nth degree. The dental assistant who took my xray, was very gentle, explained every step of the way, and overall was very reassuring. Dr. DeSanti was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. He figured out the best possible solution for my situation, explained everything to me, and then took care and fixed my problem right there on the spot! He was excellent and the cost was quite reasonable. I highly recommend Dr. DeSanti and consider myself lucky to have found him!

Clean office. Friendly staff. Almost always running right on schedule. Dr. Desanti Jr is a super talented dentist. His Novacaine shots are practically pain-free. Simple cosmetic work is amazing by Dr Amy Linden. I've been going here for over 20 years. After previous experiences with some bad dentists in my travels, I was so grateful to find this office!

I left my previous dentist after 31 years. I had no real complaints, other than the staff turnover rate. I now realize what I've been missing since going to DeSanti Family Dentistry. My first exam was the most thorough I have ever had, nothing went unchecked...X-rays, digital photos, gums, mouth cancer check, plus each tooth was thoroughly examined. My second appointment was today. I had a cleaning then a sit-down and plan of attack with Dr. Linden. There is a real sense of caring there. Finally, everybody is very nice. That counts for a lot these days.
