Dr. Anthony Derrick has been practicing dentistry in central Florida since 1990.As Dr Derricks practice has grown so has his commitment to provide his patients with a highlevel of comprehensive dentistry. Dr. Derrick has taken thousands of hours of continuingeducation. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida DentalAssociation,Central Florida Dental Association and the Greater Orlando Dental Association.Dr Derrick and his wife Rosemary are originally from Ohio but consider central Florida home.They have a son who lives in Orlando and a daughter who lives in California. Dr Derrick enjoyscooking, working out and spending time with his family.

Dr Derrick has been my dentist and Katina my hygienist for 22 years. They are professional, very skilled and friendly. I would wholeheartedly recommend this office to anyone interested in very high quality care for all dental needs.

A true gem of a dental practice! Following other great reviews, within the limitations of my dental insurance, I found Derrick Dental Care. I am a new patient, and I already feel like a member of the family! Everyone at Dr Derrick's practice are friendly, personable, knowledgeable and hard working. They care about your needs and don't push unnecessary, expensive procedures. the office is comfortable and homey, thanks to Mrs Derrick's warm and inviting decor. I am very impressed all around, and I look forward to many years with the team at this practice!

I really liked Jennifer and Dr. Derrick. Great individuals but my wife found out there were many anomalies in our bills. I would never check with my dental plan and just pay blindly whatever amount the office staff would ask and send me bills for. Turned out, many times I had paid for services that my dental plan had already paid for and I shouldn't have been charged for. The dental plan contacted the office and they ended up rectifying and admitting their fault, after initially denying and falsifying "they never cash checks" that our dental plan sent them. Read previous review for more in depth background story. PLEASE EXAMINE YOUR BILLS AND MATCH AGAINST "Explanation of Benefits" from your dental plan. It really made us question the integrity of the practice and probably many others like myself often overlook and just blindly pay whatever amount the office asked for. Very disappointed at their billing department and the reception staff. Please reevaluate the staff that handles your billing. The entire integrity and reputation of such a long established practice becomes questionable over a hundred or so dollars. As a healthcare provider myself, I'm deeply disappointed at this. I'll miss my hygienist Jennifer and the dentist himself, however I cannot return to a practice that part takes in improper billing and overcharging of their clients, despite dental plan payments and falsifying when asked for an explanation.

Be sure to scrutinize all of your bills and the claims this office makes for your visit. The Office charged me for cleaning service even tho my insurance covered it at zero cost to me. I gave it a few weeks time and my insurance advised they had given them a check which they Cashed already, but when I spoke to Nikki the receptionist, she kept stating they do not have any record of the payment and "they do not cash checks just cause" and will call me back. Service was back in May and it is now July but they kept claiming they do not have the payment. It was strange to hear them get defensive or upset when they are clearly in the wrong, double dipping by taking funds from both the consumer and the insurance. I gave it 7 business days, never got a call back. This showed me a lot about the integrity and honesty of this practice , had to in the end have my insurance personally give them a call to get it rectified. Even then, they waited a day or so to call me to let me know they got the funds and then asked for another payment from a previous cleaning. The justification was "usually insurances cover only 80% so we charged you". Yikes, every insurance and plan is different and if we treated every scenario based on a general majority rule like that, everything would be in chaos. Wonder how they'd feel if they paid for something that should've been free then got the run around for weeks when it came to reimbursement. Overall a lot of time wasted, will not be returning.

Dr. Derrick and his team have been our dental care professionals for about 15 years. Every time I go, they have new technology so I know we're getting the best and newest care. I've learned so much from them about how to keep my teeth and gums healthy. I never have to wait more than one minute for any appointment. I recommend them highly.

I am so grateful for Dr. Derrick and the entire office. Every time I go, they remember me and they take excellent care of my mouth. I tend to ask questions and they are great about educating me, as well. I love that! Also, there is something delightful about the office decor. Feels nice and cozy :) I recommend Dr. Derrick wholeheartedly.

I appreciate how the whole staff takes time to talk with you to find out how you have been and to report any dental issues. Unlike some other larger dental offices, I have never felt Dr. Derrick's team trying to upsell me a product I didn't need. The facility is clean and I haven't had any scheduling issues (due to their email and text message reminders).
