Daniel regularly participates in continued education to keep his knowledge and skills up to date. He continually makes upgrades and improvements at the office as well, such as a computerized office system to expedite services and a new x-ray pan machine.

Dr. Daniel Derksen grew up in the town of Bath, Michigan where he still lives with his family. After graduating with honors and playing football at Kalamazoo College, he finished at the top of his dental class at the University of Michigan Dental School. He was inducted into the OKU dental honors society, in which he still participates. Once Dr. Derksen was finished in Ann Arbor, he and his wife returned to the area to be near family and friends. After initially practicing dentistry in East Lansing for many years, Dr. Derksen was thankful for the opportunity to take over for Dr. James Gallaghers Lansing dental services in the fall of 2012.

Dr. Nate grew up in Fowler, Michigan and graduated with a Bachelors Degree from Michigan State University. Dr. Nate then went on to earn his DDS from The Ohio State University in 2018. Dr. Nate loves working with patients of all ages but especially enjoys working with kids.

When hes not practicing dentistry, Dr. Nate loves spending his time outdoors, golfing, playing volleyball, as well as running, cycling, and competing in triathlons. He is an avid Michigan State football and basketball fan and enjoys traveling to different cities across the country to see the Spartans play. Dr. Jandernoa currently lives in Grand Ledge.

Dr. Nate joined Derksen Dentistry in 2018, and has been continuously striving to expand his knowledge with new technology. He and Dr. Derksen have developed a great relationship which helps provide patients with the best experience every time. Dr. Nate loves working with patients of all ages, but especially enjoys working with kids and making the dentist a fun place to visit.

OFFICE MANAGERThough she has been in the dental field since 1992, Kelly has been with the office since 2008. Kelly helps to ensure the office experience runs smoothly for patients as she works with accounts and directly with the insurance company while interacting with patients at her desk. Kelly enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, and camping.

DENTAL ASSISTANTTara joined the office in 2021 and is currently working towards the dental hygiene program at LCC. She is very grateful for her position and is learning new skills every day. Her hobbies include spending time with close friends and family, traveling up north, and cooking. She is a devoted MSU fan and loves watching football, basketball, and hockey games.

DENTAL ASSISTANTJoined Derksen Dentistry in 2019 to gain experience before exploring the dental hygiene program. She is currently an assistant with our office. When she is not at work she enjoys spending time with her fianc Joey, her son Jesse, and her Rottweiler Oso, boating, traveling and yoga.

HYGIENE ASSISTANTBrittney joined Derksen Dentistry in 2021 working as a hygiene assistant in hopes to work her way up in this office. She has a son that she spends all of her time with outside of work. She enjoys traveling up north, time with family and friends, and fishing.

DENTAL ASSISTANTDebbie Has been with the office since 1994 working closely with patients on a daily basis, providing expert care. She grew-up in Ann Arbor (yes, Deb is a Michigan fan!) and now lives in Dimondale with her family. Debbie likes to travel and enjoys anything related to the beach, water and boating. Her favorite thing to do is spend time with her grandkids.

RECEPTIONISTTiffany has been at Derksen Dentistry since 2016. She enjoys working in the dental field and is the bright and energetic part of the office. Tiffany just built a house in Mason with her husband Travis and two boys, Aiden and Bryce. In her free time, she loves to spend time and ride dirt bikes and quads with her family.

DENTAL HYGENIESTJamie has been in the dental field since 2003 and has been a hygienist since 2013. She has been married to her partner since 2011 and has two extremely cute daughters. With her free time, she enjoys traveling with her family, watching family movies with her kids, and cooking. She loves being a Dental Hygienist and helping her patients keep their mouth healthy.

DENTAL ASSISTANTLori has been a Registered Dental Assistant since 1983 and has enjoyed working directly with Dr. Derksen since 2008. She really loves assisting and strives to provide the best care for her patients. Lori grew up in Okemos but now lives near Grand Ledge with her husband Craig. She enjoys spending time with her family, she has two daughters, a son-in-law and her first grandchild was born in August 2020, being a Grandma is the best! Lori loves music, reading and is an avid sports fan.

DENTAL HYGENIESTShe began working at the office in 1999 and has been here ever since. Mary very much enjoys working with her patients and values the relationships she has fostered with many of them over the years. She is married with two daughters, a son-in-law, and most importantly is Gaga to her beautiful and amazing granddaughter. Her hobbies include baking, reading, yoga, and spending time up north.

DENTAL ASSISTANTMackenzie graduated from assisting school in 2014 and has been actively assisting since. She joined Derksen Dentistrys team in 2019. When not at work, Mackenzie can be found volunteering with the St. Charles Haunted House Association as their treasurer. In her free time, Mackenzie enjoys going to car shows with her husband, spending time with friends and family, and visiting her family cabin in the UP. Her hobbies include collecting vintage teacups, fishing, and cross-stitch.

RECEPTIONISTKasie started with Derksen Dentistry in the Fall of 2021. Previously, she had worked as a Medical Assistant in Oncology and Family Medicine. Dentistry is a new venture for Kasie, however, it is a field she has always had an interest in and she is so excited to be part of the team. In her free time, Kasie enjoys traveling, concerts, football games, spending time up north and loves any time she has with her children.

RECEPTIONISTLeah was born with a dental background, with her father being a truck driver and her mother a bookkeeper, it just comes naturally to her. She is literally the backbone of this office. Honestly, everyone would be lost without her. She is very good at telling people exactly where they can go. As long as you dont make eye contact with her, she is the sweetest and most pleasant person to be around. Its truly an honor to be in her midst.
