Since 2001, Dr. Derek R. Damon has been providing his patients in the Anacortes and Bellingham areas with exceptional orthodontic care, giving them beautiful, straight smiles! An accredited orthodontist, Dr. Damon is a dental specialist who has completed an advanced post-doctoral course, accredited by the American Dental Association, of at least two academic years in the specialty of orthodontics.
Orthodontics runs in the Damon family, so rest assured that you are in great hands! In fact, Dr. Damon is the sixth orthodontist in his family, including his father, uncle, and cousins. He grew up in the Northwest, specifically western Washington, and attended the University of California-Berkeley. He then returned to the University of Washington for his dental degree. After two years of being a general dentist, Dr. Damon began his orthodontic residency at the University of Washington, where he received his orthodontic certification in 2001.
Dr. Damon feels it is important to stay on the cutting edge of orthodontics in order to offer the most advanced treatments to his patients. During his spare time, Dr. Damon volunteers his time and talents to the local Mount Baker District Dental Society. For years he organized the MBDDS fundraiser which raised money for Dental Access programs.

Dr. Damon and his staff are friendly, professional, and excellent at their jobs. Dr. Damon listened to my wishes regarding the type of orthodontic device (aligners vs. braces) and the timeline for correction. He helped me achieve my goals in a timely manner, and I am very satisfied with the results. He and his staff kindly worked around my schedule for appointments and even rushed ordered my aligners to arrive by a certain date. I would definitely recommend him for any and all orthodontic needs.

Great office!! They not only run a well oiled machine with excellent results, but are very personable. My teeth needed to straightened from a cross bite and it was a smooth and painless process. Definitely the place to go for orthodontics.

Dr Damon and staff are great! Only needed one tooth straightened on the bottom and it only took 4 months. It was such a great experience and I recommend Dr Damon to everyone:)

Dr. Damon is great! I've had ongoing issues with orthodontic retaining wires that were placed by a different provider. Dr. Damon has been able to help fix those problems and provide more permanent solutions. Plus, all the office staff are very friendly and scheduling has never been an issue. I don't have any complaints.

Dr Damon and staff are great! Only needed one tooth straightened on the bottom and it only took 4 months. It was such a great experience and I recommend Dr Damon to everyone:)

Great friendly staff. They explain what they're doing every step of the way. They always have someone on call on the evenings and on weekends in case of emergencies.

I went here to get a new retainer. I was quoted on the phone for $300 total, top and bottom, impressions, visit etc. It the end of my exam they then raised the price to $600. I questioned them and they said that no it was for each! After I get my new retainer they gave me a slip that said if I need a replacement I'll need to get new impressions and it would be $150 for each retainer, a total of $300. I questioned their billing about this that they claim I knew the entire time it would be $600. Really disappointed and will not be refusing others to this office. Dr Damon was nice and did a good job but front staff was not!
