Dr. Carol Bongiovannis interest in orthodontics started when she had braces as a teenager and was encouraged by her new, healthy smile at the finish of the treatment. Her Orthodontist became her inspiration!
Orthodontists receive an additional 2 to 3 years of specialized education beyond dental school to learn the proper way to align teeth and correct bites. Only those who successfully complete this formal education may call themselves orthodontists, and only orthodontists can be members of the American Association of Orthodontists.
Dr. DeQuattro is a retired Colonel in the US Army Dental Corps having served in the National Guard. He received his commission in 1983 and has served in the reserves for over 25 years. In 2004, he was called to active duty and served for four months in Iraq. He is a proud veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Dr. DeQuattro is a resident of South Kingstown, RI, where he lives with his wife and three daughters. As a native Rhode Islander, he grew up in Johnston and was active in sports through high school. He enjoys boating, hiking, skiing with his family, and fishing with friends. He keeps active by competing in local running events and practicing heated power yoga. His love of hiking has brought him some amazing experiences such as climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa and Mt. Aconcagua in Argentina. He teaches sailing instruction for the RI Special Olympics and coaches youth soccer.
He is very active in the South Kingstown community and sponsors many local soccer, baseball, and basketball youth teams. He has also performed volunteer humanitarian dental services in impoverished communities in Central America and the Caribbean.
Dr. Carol Bongiovanni grew up around Aquidneck Island and received a Bachelor of Science Degree from The Rennselaer Polytechnic Institute with a major in Biology. She graduated from Tufts Dental School with a D.M.D. in 1993 and completed her orthodontic residency in 1995. She moved to Marin County, California after graduation and worked full time in a private practice until 2016. In 2017, she moved back to Rhode Island to be closer to her family.

We went to DeQuattro after our dentist referred my daughter. Lisa took x-rays and then explained our options. She was very knowledgeable. They offer state of the art braces and Invisalign. They offer payment plans. The Dr and Lisa were great with my daughter. They made us feel totally at ease. I will update my review after the braces are put on but so far DeQuattro Ortho surpassed our expectations.

Currently a student at URI with no car so I wasn't able to go to my actual orthodontist. Wire from my braces popped out so I gave them a call to see if they could put it back in place. They helped me for free. Huge thanks to Isa for putting the wire back in place, as well as their very accomodating and generous team!

I am unable to give enough stars to this group due to the fact there is not enough room on your screen to fit them all. A fantastic group of caring, approachable, funny, professional people. What you may think is not possible can become possible. There are is still caring community orientated honest practices in south county, and we are fortunate this is a group that is one of those, and WANTS to care for you, and your family. Dr. DeQuattro is a wonderful orthodontist!! With amazing skill and artistry, he helped me gain a healthy bite and a beautiful smile! Also Rafael gave me excellent treatment and care. I went to DeQuattro for Invisalign the past year. I had a great experience! They are all professional, knowledgeable, courteous and friendly. Shout out to Connie for taking such great care of me. She is the sweetest! I highly recommend this office for all of your orthodontic needs.

We were visiting RI from out of state this summer with our 10 year old daughter who was new to braces. She had two separate issues over the summer: a wire tearing up the inside of her mouth and a tooth that fell out, but since attached to the braces, was hanging in her mouth. DeQuattro Orthodontics saw her both times within 24 hours, fixed the problem and doubled checked to make sure no other issues were occurring. The staff was incredibly friendly, professional and quick in treatment. Even though we are not patients of his, Dr. DeQuattro took some extra time with my daughter to make sure her current setup would make it through the summer and spent time talking with us. If we were local, I would absolutely use this practice based on our experience. A great staff awaits you here!

We all know about the cost of braces and the terror it instills in parents hearts. Despite all that, from reception to technician to Orthodontist, I found the experience pleasant and smooth. There's lobby video games too. It's like they new how to get a five star outta me. :). They were all very professional. Absolutely recommend.
