Dr. Carol Bongiovannis interest in orthodontics started when she had braces as a teenager and was encouraged by her new, healthy smile at the finish of the treatment. Her Orthodontist became her inspiration!
Orthodontists receive an additional 2 to 3 years of specialized education beyond dental school to learn the proper way to align teeth and correct bites. Only those who successfully complete this formal education may call themselves orthodontists, and only orthodontists can be members of the American Association of Orthodontists.
Dr. DeQuattro is a retired Colonel in the US Army Dental Corps having served in the National Guard. He received his commission in 1983 and has served in the reserves for over 25 years. In 2004, he was called to active duty and served for four months in Iraq. He is a proud veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Dr. DeQuattro is a resident of South Kingstown, RI, where he lives with his wife and three daughters. As a native Rhode Islander, he grew up in Johnston and was active in sports through high school. He enjoys boating, hiking, skiing with his family, and fishing with friends. He keeps active by competing in local running events and practicing heated power yoga. His love of hiking has brought him some amazing experiences such as climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa and Mt. Aconcagua in Argentina. He teaches sailing instruction for the RI Special Olympics and coaches youth soccer.
He is very active in the South Kingstown community and sponsors many local soccer, baseball, and basketball youth teams. He has also performed volunteer humanitarian dental services in impoverished communities in Central America and the Caribbean.
Dr. Carol Bongiovanni grew up around Aquidneck Island and received a Bachelor of Science Degree from The Rennselaer Polytechnic Institute with a major in Biology. She graduated from Tufts Dental School with a D.M.D. in 1993 and completed her orthodontic residency in 1995. She moved to Marin County, California after graduation and worked full time in a private practice until 2016. In 2017, she moved back to Rhode Island to be closer to her family.

I am returning to Dr. DeQuattro as a former patient after receiving my first round of Invisalign in 2013. In going off to college, I made the unfortunate mistake in choosing not to wear my final retainer at night. As a result, my teeth drastically shifted and I finally decided pursue re-treatment. Everyone in Dr. DeQuattro's office was incredibly kind and understanding as they helped me navigate the re-treatment process in an efficient and friendly manner. I cannot be more appreciative of their help in getting my teeth back to where they were, and highly recommend his team for any of your orthodontic needs! I definitely will be wearing my retainer after this second round

I had my complimentary evaluation yesterday and it went perfectly. I was made to feel very comfortable with their assessment and their openness to questions or concerns I may have had. Very punctual, kind and knowledgeable. Lisa was fantastic!!!

I thought I was too old at 54 to fix my smile but this office definitely made me feel that you are never too old! I'm so happy I finally did something about it and absolutely love my results. Not only did it fix my smile but it actually made me look younger. Everyone is so friendly and efficient. Dr DeQuattro is a perfectionist!

My son's retainer had a minor crack in it after only a month. Dr DeQuattro and his associate was able to see him immediately and covered the cost of a replacement retainer. The office staff is super accommodating and kind. They're the best!

Our family is back with DeQuattro Orthodontics with our second child in need of braces. We had a wonderful experience with the staff and the results for our daughter. Two years later, our son is up! The friendly and patient office staff really makes such a difference during this time. They are enthusiastic and encouraging with teens who dread having braces. The office staff are so personable and helpful as well!

Friendly, informative and educational, looking forward to returning when my new retainers are ready. The staff members are so welcoming! Wasn't sure where to go after my previous orthodontist retired. My well-loved regular dentist fitted and supplied replacement retainers, but the first set didn't fit right and the second set broke after just a few weeks. I realized that it's often best to go with a specialist and expert. Will update after I get the new retainers! Would love to get the InvisAlign system and straighten things... but until that is affordable I am happy to at least stop the teeth from crowding worse. Highly recommend this practice.

The teeth of both my daughters are being well taken care of. The girls really respect the transformation process and adhere to what is needed. I am not sure what is more critical to them, their phone or Invisalign case???

We were on vacation in Rhode Island when my son's wire in his braces started giving him trouble. I called Dr. DeQuattro's office in a panic and luckily the staff there was so kind. They told me we could could come in the same day despite their busy schedule. They said they didn't want my son to be uncomfortable on his vacation! Dr. DeQuattro was so phenomenal and took care of my sons wore in less than 5 minutes!!! What a beautiful office and such a polite and welcoming group of office staff! If we lived in Rhode Island full time- we would definitely be coming here!! Thank you Dr.DeQuattro and staff!!!!
