She also receives great personal fulfillment from her involvement with forensic odontology. She is a forensic dental consultant with the Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department Coroners Division. She is a member of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences and the American Society of Forensic Odontology. Dr. DePaoli also co-authored a chapter on forensic dentistry in the bookMultidisciplinary Medico-Legal Death Investigation: Role of Consultants, set for publication June 2018.
