Dr. Cohens office staff is by far the WORST I have ever experienced. To say his assistant was rude and disrespectful is a severe understatement. I would not recommend this office for anyone with kids or anyone nervous about going for oral surgery!!!! Recommendations for the office- introduce yourself and say hello, ask the kid how he is doing! Don't bark orders!! Listen to their concerns before you rudely respond about a topic you clearly know nothing about. Most importantly, learn how to speak KINDLY!! It's unfortunate because, Dr, Cohen did seem very knowledgeable and kind. We liked him. However, considering the assistants, do a lot of the interaction with the patients, I would stay far away!!!

I'm very shocked by the low ratings of this place. From the consult of my impacted wisdom tooth, I knew I was In good hands. The receptionists, nurses and Dr. Cohen were fantastic. When the receptionist called me to confirm my procedure she thought I sounded sick on the phone but really I was crying because I had just put my dog to sleep that day. When I came in for my procedure the following day I was greeted with a card from the entire staff giving me their condolences. And honestly, I wasn't expecting that. They care, and it's not about money (from some of these comments I've read) ... they really care about their patients. The procedure was quick, I had the sedation even though I was nervous to do it and have never done it before but, the nurses and Dr. Cohen were so reassuring. Out of all 4 wisdom teeth I've had taken out ( at separate times ) this was one was my best experience. Thank you all so much.

I recently had a consultation with Dr. Cohen. He was recommended by my dentist and orthodontist. I was very impressed with his staff and the professional environment. Dr. Cohen has a warm bedside manner and makes you feel at ease. He took the time to explain the process in detail and ensured I understood my options. The staff are just as warm and patient. Cara and Amanda were very polite and helpful. I left the office feeling less anxious about my future procedure.

I got 4 impacted wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Cohen. The surgery itself went well, but the recovery process was terrible. The right side of my cheek got infected after the antibiotics he prescribed didn't work, and it was difficult to get an emergency appointment. I wasn't healing properly, and contacting the office was a challenge. They don't make room for follow up appointments after oral surgery, and you can only get one if there's complications. Even when there are complications, it's very difficult to get an appointment. The receptionist said the amount of pain, swelling, and bad taste in my mouth was normal, when it was really symptoms of infection. They have barely any availability to follow up if there's complications. This delayed me until nearly a week after my surgery to again try for a follow-up appointment, when the pain was still just as unbearable as the first few days. When I finally got a check up scheduled, I had to deal with long waits and barely enough time to ask questions. Dr. Cohen is a good oral surgeon, but I would not recommend his office for wisdom teeth extraction. He knows what he's doing and is skilled at his job, but it's difficult to get seen by him post-surgery. He is clearly overbooked, which is a real issue if there are complications in the recovery process.

Dr. Cohen has been my husband's surgeon for many years, but with me for the past 5 months. I called him with an emergency because I had a serious infection in my tooth, a lot of pain and my face was swollen. I had a molar extracted and bone grafting last year, after a week I was back to normal, I had a quick and successful recovery. After 4 months (last week) I had the X-ray done for my implant. I was very well informed about what would be done, about the postoperative care and all my doubts were clarified as always. Today I had my implant, the surgery was done in approximately 30 -45 min. and I'm feeling great! I am not feeling pain or discomfort. Dr. Cohen were friendly, respectful and also his staff were very kind, polite, very professional. A good teamwork makes me feel comfortable and confident... would highly recommend to anyone!!!

UPDATED: I contacted my insurer and have submitted a formalized compliant for the services rendered. Fortunately, this practice submits text messages when procedures are completed so not only do I have evidence of their unethical billing charges, I also have proof my insurer (and I) were overcharged on general anesthesia (unless of course they provided her with anesthesia after the procedure was complete and she was in the car with me which is, you know, impossible). I take responsibility for not doing more research into surgeons because if I had, I would have found out general anesthesia for a teenager is virtually unheard of with regards to wisdom teeth. However, I've been fortunate enough to only have had ethical interactions with practitioners previously. I've contacted my child's orthodontist as well to ensure no other patients are referred to this practice. Original review: A zero star review would be more appropriate but unfortunately not possible. My daughter had her wisdom teeth removed here in February. I paid $1100+ day of out of pocket the day of surgery. Two weeks later, I received an EOB from my dental insurance company showing I overpaid by $300+ dollars. I contacted their offices and was informed they hadn't received the EOB yet. I followed up two weeks later, same response. While the waiting, I received an updated EOB indicating Dr. Cohen's office submitted ANOTHER claim for a higher sum, while no additional services were performed. Healthcare fraud, actually. I contacted the office was informed they appealed the EOB and I was now owed $16. I read the horrific reviews and foolishly ignored them. Fortunately, I can afford to wait on my refund while I sue their offices in small claims court. However, so many other people can not. I've informed my insurance company about their fraudulent billing procedures and now I'm informing all of Google - go elsewhere and find an ethical dental practice.

Horrible!. My father in-law had 3 teeth extracted. A few days later the stitches broke, and he was bleeding non stop. The dr was on vacation when this happened. My father in law called the dr office several times to seek assistance and the office kept saying they could not see him as the dr covering did not have his case file! The man is 77 years old and just needed stitches to fix the shoddy work done the first time and to stop the bleeding! He called another dentist and was seen right away and had the problem fixed. Do not go to these people. They clearly don't know or care what they do! If I could give negative stars I would.
