Prior to her pursuit of a dental education, Dr. Richardson enjoyed being a Research and Development Scientist for Sigma Chemical Company in the department of immunology. In 2004, she received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine. She then completed her 3-year Periodontal Residency at Saint Louis University in 2007, while also working in private practice. After performing 2 years of research, she defended her thesis and was granted a Masters of Dentistry degree from Saint Louis University.
Dr Richardson has served as a course director for several clinical and didactic courses at Missouri College in the Dental Assisting Program. In addition, she also served as Adjunct Faculty at Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine in the department of Periodontology and Colorado University in the department of Graduate Periodontics. Dr. Richardson has been recognized by the American Dental Association for her excellence in leadership while being the head doctor of a humanitarian dental clinic in Jamaica for several years. She has served several other humanitarian efforts such as Give Kids A Smile.
Currently Dr. Richardson enjoys full-time practice in Denver Colorado limited to periodontal management and dental implant therapy. She is very active in the dental community in educating herself, fellow dentists, and hygienists in the field of periodontics and implant dentistry. Dr. Richardson is both locally and nationally a member of many societies and study clubs as well as being an ambassador to the Metro Denver Dental Society. Dr. Richardson achieved her status as a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology in 2007. She has over 12 years of clinical experience
In her free time she enjoys anything outdoors with her friends, family, and two dogs. She has enjoyed the challenge of many athletic adventures including hiking 14ers, ironman triathlons, marathons, and the warrior dash. Dr Richardson is known most for her gentle and nurturing compassion for people and animals.=
Dr. Petroche grew up in Florida and attended Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine to complete her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. She then completed her 3-year Periodontology residency and received her Certificate in Advanced Graduate Studies as well as a Master of Science in Dentistry from Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, while also working in private practice. At Boston University, she was awarded the merit-based Zanni Scholarship and was her class president. Dr. Petroche chiefly focuses on minimally invasive surgery, and has extensive training using advanced digitized implant workflow to deliver the best care for her patients. She has received extensive training and certification in IV conscious sedation during her residency which allows her to provide treatment for patients with dental anxiety. Dr. Petroche is trilingual; she speaks Spanish and Portuguese fluently. She enjoys challenging esthetic cases and has advanced training in cosmetic injectables. In her free time, Dr. Petroche enjoys hiking with her husband and dog, scuba diving, skiing, and trying new restaurants.
Dr. Petroche is Board Eligible with the American Board of Periodontology. She is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Dental Association, Academy of Osseointegration, and the Colorado Dental Association.

I saw Dr. Maria Petroche for oral surgery, she is amazing, kind caring very pleasant in fact everyone in the office is very very nice. They make you feel calm and comfortable, I would never go to another Periodontics out there. She is professional and very sweet. I would never go to another Periodontics out there! A 5 star is not even enough to give them I would give Dr. Petroche and the staff a 10 star.

From beginning to end, Dr. Richardson and staff provided the best service. The person answering the phone was kind and worked with me according my schedule limitations. I was warmly greeted when I arrived. They were so polite when taking my payment. During treatment Dr. Richardson and her assistant were overwhelmingly kind, caring, thoughtful, and compassionate. Their quality of Dentistry and care is second to none.

Heather Richardson has been the most compassionate and concerned MD I have ever worked with. She calls me weekly to check on me, even while on vacation. I would recommend her to ANYONE who needs dental implants or bone grafting.

Stay away from Dr. Richardson! Totally unprofessional and she is more interested in collecting her fees than her patients well being. I paid her over $10,500 for "two hours" of gum treatment which obviously equates to over $5K/hour. Months later, her office calls me in for an appointment which I assumed was merely to check on things. Waiting in her office parking lot due to the virus, her office gal finally calls me on my cell and tells me "I can't come in the office until I pay another $1,800". And I said, "what happened to the $10K I already paid and what's the $1800 for?"...No response. I left and turned this matter over to my attorney, who said, "I have a claim for excessive fees and perhaps malpractice". For $10K I'm not sure I want to waste my time in costly litigation but through all this, I did find an incredible periodontist who genuinely cares about his patients and and their well-being and has done an unbelievable dental work on me for considerably less money. I suggest you go see him, Ryan Jenkins DDS and stay away from Richardson. A very disconcerting experience with her and her office staff. I just noticed what Dr. Richardson noted below. First, everything I said above is the absolute truth and completely factual. Moreover, when my attorney addressed my concerns to her she had her attorney fire back threatening me with a defamation lawsuit if I didn't remove my web comments. That won't happen. The truth will always prevail. NPR

Experience for a dentist - great. Didn't feel rushed.Dr Richardson actually examined my teeth. ( only saw Dr. Fowler one or 2x) and I love the hygienist ( Rhnea). She is very good.i feel very lucky to be in the care of such a wonderful group of people. Thank you. Would definitely recommend. Sue

Dr. Richardson and her staff, hygienists, etc were fantastic, very accommodating and very caring. Dr. Richardson went the "extra mile" to make sure I was doing well after my procedure. She was happy to answer any questions I had , and the combination of her training and experience resulted in my recovery being smooth and quick!

I just wanted to share. This place is very clean they have accommodated us in this very hard time of COVID. The practice was nothing but clean and safe! And the decor is beautiful- and I know that is petty now, but someday again we will care about the decor and the feel of an office. The staff is warm and welcoming and that is hard to do now with masks and during this time when really everything, including getting food and essentials is such a huge process. And very few service people I encounter are as kind as we were before all this. Dr. Richardson seems to have a wonderful staff and they seems to work so well together. Bravo! Keep up the good work Doc. and team!!

I went to Dr Richardson for a dental implant. I was really nervous, but she was very informative and made sure I understood the process and put me at ease about having the work done. From the first, to the last appointment, the entire staff was so kind, professional, and made the whole process so easy. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

I had a really great experience being treated by Dr Richardson. I had previously had a gum graft surgery from a different doc that failed. That surgery was pretty painful. I went to Dr. Richardson to have her complete a second gum graft in the same area. This time the surgery was painless, quick, and effective! She is highly skilled and delivered amazing results. I am a general dentist and trust her with my care.

Dr Heather and her team were great! They communicated well and were fast and gentle. All the information they gave me was helpful in my recovery and now that I have finished treatment and recovery, I am pain free and feeling great. Highly recommend this team!!!
