I have been blessed to have had some fantastic patients over the years that I truly consider family and friends. Each has led interesting lives and done interesting things, and it is fun to get to know each persons story. I think what I appreciate most about helping my patients is just simply the fact that I get to. I am thankful that God has blessed me with the talent and abilities to help them and that they have placed their trust and confidence in me to allow me to treat them.
I enjoy all aspects of dentistry, but I get most excited by creating beautiful smiles in my patients. While I get a great sense of fulfillment from helping patients get out of pain or achieve healthy teeth and gums, I get really excited to watch personalities change so much over the course of treatment. I have had patients come in ashamed to smile and have watched them completely open up, smile, and laugh. Seeing that transformation is the reason I am excited to come to work each day.
I attendedTexas A&M Universityfor my undergraduate education and obtained my Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1997 from theUniversity of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. It has been my privilege to practice dentistry for the past 18 years. In addition to my formal education, I take extensive continuing education every year, ranging from general dentistry to orthodontics to implants. It is important to me to stay abreast of the latest materials, techniques, and technology to provide my patients the quality and personal care they deserve.
As the child of a Navy father, I was born in Guam and spent the past 30 years in Texas. I currently reside in Lantana with my beautiful wife, LaNita, and our three children, Courtney, Casey, and Corbin. My time outside the office is spent with my family and friends, cheering on all things A&M, playing golf, and hunting.
I have a deep and meaningful connection to my community. I am very involved with the Rock Point Church and mission work in Belize with Kidz Konnect for Jesus. My wife and I are also involved with many volunteer activities through our church, including Hands Across the Community, Feed the Hungry, Community Christian Action, and The Men of Nehemiah.

Sheila greets our patients with a welcoming smile and helps to coordinate treatment plans and financial information. She has almost 40 years of experience working in the dental field. Sheila enjoys being a part of such a family-oriented practice and looks forward to making all our patients feel comfortable.
Sheila and her husband have two children and three grandchildren. She is very involved with her church family, where she teaches childrens Bible classes. Sheila and her husband are also involved with childrens homes ministry. She enjoys camping with her husband and children and antique shopping with her mother, sister, daughter, and daughter-in-law.
Mildred started working at Denton Family Dentistry in 2011. She attended theUniversity of Guadalajarain Mexico and obtained her DDS degree from that school in 2009. She looks forward to obtaining a dental license in the US in the near future. Mildreds favorite part of her job is helping her patients feel better about the health and appearance of their smiles. She loves working with her team as well.
Mildred was born and raised in Guadalajara, Mexico. She is currently attending school to perfect her English. She comes from a big family of four brothers and a sister who is also a dentist in Mexico. In her free time, Mildred enjoys traveling home to visit family and friends, eating sushi, and watching a good movie.

Made an appointment for my adult son and was told it was a family ran practice and it is NOT!! My son had his worst experience at a dental office EVER!! The hygienist hurt him and the following day his teeth are still hurting. He has grown up having cleanings every 6 months and never had any problems until this visit in a different office. He had moved to the area. The dr that saw him wanted to pull wisdom teeth with only nitrous. Being in the dental profession for over 20 years and him growing up in it he knows he is missing teeth on the bottom. The dr that saw him said he needed teeth out on the bottom which he does NOT!! The receptionist said the previous dr had passed away so it is being bought out. She was very apologetic about being told a month ago by the office they were family ran practice which was misinformation!!! Someone may have a different experience with this office but I am giving you our experience and it is up to you to just be aware.

This dentist office has always been able to accommodate me, are friendly and while they may not be perfect, they are undergoing an owner/dentist transition at this time. I'm excited to see how the practice evolves! Sahar was my new hygienist last visit. She was quick, but thorough, and friendly.

I used to like this office except for the dental hygienist, they are the worst. I love Dr. Edmunson, but the last few visits I did not know who the dentist was going to be when I showed up for my appointment. I have never been to a dentist office before where you show up for an appointment and your primary dentist you are expecting to see is out for the day and some dentist you have never seen before shows up and nobody tells you in advance. Good luck if you choose to visit this office.

They made me feel so relaxed and comfortable! Very friendly staff, I didnt get to meet Dr Edmondson today, but I will the next time and dr Dunes is good too! Very honest and reliable won't have something done if it really isn't necessary!

I really did try to like this dentist office over the last 2 years but this last go round was the last straw for me. The front office personnel seems to be very unorganized and here are some examples: I had asked for a quote on a night guard upon departing the office one time, I never got a call and had to request the info again. I also called with a specific concern I was having and never got a call back on that either. My January 2022 appointment got changed 3 times for whatever their reasons were. One time, I got 2 calls within 30 minutes of each other changing the appt that I just changed 30 minutes ago!!! This last time they called 1 hour before which it was a 10 AM appointment on a Monday because his child was sick so I give them that one. But with all the other things that have happened, it is really hard to be understanding for an issue out of their control when different things keep happening over and over. I work full time, have a demanding job, and I am just frustrated trying work around their constant chaos. Maybe the office will see this post and get some constructive feedback for improvement :)

Be far the best staff I've had my 3 children with (3,6,9 years old). Denise did an awesome job of entertaining my 3 yr old son while getting x-rays! Would highly recommend to anyone with small children!

Dr Edmondson repaired a tooth for me, and I could not be any happier. Not only were they able to get me in ASAP, they also were able to get me a fair price! I have already recommended them to my sister in law!
