Our practice is a modern haven for patients in need, and Dr. Balington looks forward to continuing to introduce advanced techniques and technologies as time goes on. For instance, we use intraoral cameras and digital X-rays to diagnose dental problems in a safe, efficient fashion, as well to provide more opportunities for patient education. Nitrous oxide (a mild form of dental sedation) is also available for nervous or fearful patients who need a little extra help relaxing.
Dr. Balington earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Florida before pursuing his Doctor of Dental Medicine at the Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine. He began his career in dentistry in 2006 in Lake Wales, Florida before moving to DFW in 2009. As a family dentist, he enjoys all aspects of restorative dentistry and has a particular passion for childrens dentistry.
When not in a dental office, he enjoys traveling, exercising and spending time with friends. He is looking forward to starting a family in the Denton community with his fiance Debby, who works as an Intensive Care Unit nurse at Dallas Methodist Hospital.
Dr. Karim studied at UT Dallas before pursuing her doctorate at Baylor College of Dentistry. Today, she has been working in this field for over four years and counting. She loves being able to save teeth through her dedicated efforts, and treating such wonderful patients is always a pleasure.
Dr. Karim is originally from Copenhagen, Denmark, and she speaks five languages! She and her husband have been married for 10 years. They have a son together who is three. When she isnt busy at work, you can find her biking, traveling, trying new restaurants, and watching movies.
I was born in Galveston and raised in Denton. Ive worked in the dental field for over 6 years as a treatment coordinator and insurance aging report specialist. Im married and have a 5-year-old son, Nehemyah. When not working I enjoy cooking, traveling and most importantly spending time with my family!
I was born in Dallas and raised in Grand Prairie. Ive been working in the dental field for 15 years as a Registered Dental Assistant. My greatest satisfaction is to know that Im providing excellent care to my patients. I consider myself strong willed, hardworking and reliable. I have three daughters who are my world!
Hi! Im Louise and Ive lived in Denton for 45 years. Ive been working in dentistry as a Registered Dental Assistant for over 30 years. When not in the office I enjoy spending time with my two grandchildren and I also enjoy building bird houses with my lovely husband.

Dr Todd Balington taylored my final dental implants to perfection 1.5 years ago. Two days ago, I had my first visit after that procedure. Since I have not had any issue with the implants, I had waited longer than recommended to make a "service call", but no issue arised in spite of my extended delay. Just a regular cleaning was scheduled - to keep my smile shining on!

I'm not one to leave reviews, but I have a morbid fear of dentists, even cleanings have been traumatizing. Haf my 1st visit yesterday and Karen was beyond amazing, calmed me down, went the extra mile to deal with all my extra issues and above all else.... it didn't hurt as bad as in the past. I'm actually looking forward to future visits. Everyone else was very accommodating buy Karen's care has probably saved my teeth cause I won't be avoiding the dentist anymore!

Experienced and customer facing technicians. The one reason I didn't rate five stars are consistent delays with appointment times. I always arrive before the scheduled time and consistently wait 15 - 30 minutes past the appointment time.

I was a patient of Dr. Kaiser years ago and came back to Dr. Balington after a truly terrible experience at another dentist. I was very pleased with my visit. Costs were explained up front and before anything was done and the procedures and issues were clearly explained to me and my questions were answered fully. The hygienist and staff were very kind and efficient. I highly recommend them!

The hygienist did my examination and recommended deep cleaning without dentist approval. The girl from the front office came and gave me the price for deep cleaning. I said no, I came for a regular cleaning. She was very rude and told me that was my only option or I would not be treated. Dr. B came in and without completing an examination himself, echoed the hygienist and front office girl and gave me a lecture on the state of my teeth using x ray information . He also told me I needed to remove a tooth that was badly decayed as soon as possible, just by reading the x-rays. I paid an extra $90 for his consultation, I left and told them I wouldn't do it. I felt judged and demoralized when I left. He never examined me himself. Within that week I went to visit my periodontist (the expert) who said I definitely did not need deep clean treatments and that I had between 3 to 5 years on the tooth. (My periodontist lectures at Baylor School of Dentistry so he knows) I called Dr. B and complained about the outright rudeness of his front office and no apology was offered. Needless to say, I found an excellent dentist in Argyle who does his own examinations and who also did not see the need for deep cleaning plus didn't see any urgency in the treatment or removal of that so called bad tooth. I have thus taken by business elsewhere and I'm super pleased with the outcome. Did I mention better prices too????

I've been a patient for many years and have been very pleased until recently. I had a rough spot at the tip of one of my front teeth so I wanted Dr. Ballinger to buff it like Dr Kaiser had done once before to a bottom tooth. He did buff it but without informing me that it would change the profile of my teeth. I now have a slanted tooth in front which looks bad and has been bothering me the way I look when I smile. When I went in for my cleaning recently he informed it could be fixed by filling it in which would be considered cosmetic and insurance would not cover. I feel he should have informed me that it would look different and slanted if he buffed it before he did it so that I could have made that choice. I would have rather left it alone if I would've known. Now I will have to pay $ to get it fixed. After years at this place my family is considering looking for another dentist.

I got a condescending 30 minutes of why he couldn't glue my tooth back on from Dr Balington It was such an obvious up sell of work I didn't need and he charged my insurance over $300 for this little talk. I went somewhere else and they had me fixed up and out the door with no weird lecture of hard and complicated gluing a tooth is. I don't recommend this dentist.

I am happy to recommend my dentist, Dr Balington, at Denton Dental Center, and my hygienist, Terri B. They keep me comfortable and answer all my questions about my teeth and oral care. The other staff are also helpful and professional.

My examination was both thorough and detailed including explanations as to cause of certain problems. This was followed by a specific plan to address each area of concern. Very impressive. Admin including insurance billing was similarly impressive.

Absolutely love Dr. Balington and the staff here - they've helped me through my dental anxiety without making me feel ashamed and are extremely informative when it comes to the work they need to do, so I never feel like I'm being pushed to get anything done just for money. Highly recommend trying them out if you're nervous to see a new dentist, the made me feel right at home!

Dr. Balington purchased this practice a few years ago. He has maintained, and even upgraded, the quality of service I always receive here. He is very conservative in his approach, and very professional and caring with his patients.

Fabulous experience with Teri and Dr.Todd. I'm extremely anxious (to the point that I've passed out and soiled myself at other dental offices) The staff here put me at ease, allayed my fears, and fixed my broken tooth. I've since switched my entire family over to this practice and away from the corporate dental hell hole that we had been using for far too long. Thanks Dr.Todd!

I have been with this clinic for about 15 years! I was so sad when Dr Kiser left and was not sure to stay or go...I am so glad I stayed! I lost a big filling on Wednesday later afternoon, I called the office and they got me in Thursday morning! Staff is supper friendly. Dr Balington is a great replacement for Dr Kiser, who was so kind and caring. He is great to help you feel comfortable and assured that all is being done to keep your smile and teeth in good condition! Looking for a good dentist, look no further.
