Dr. Roberts is known for his gentle touch and taking his patients comfort seriously. He has a way of giving painless novocaine which his patients love and is often mentioned in reviews. Dr. Joseph Roberts completed a fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry and has received formal dental education at Temple University School of Dental Medicine, Montefiore Hospital and Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Roberts has served as president of the Eastern Dental Society as well a founding member and president of the Philadelphia Implant Society. Dr. Roberts has been published in the Journal of the American Dental Association and the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is an active member of local and national dental organizations and has lectured abroad in dental implants and digital radiography. Dr. Roberts serves on the board of the Kornberg School of Dentistry.
As part of his passion for music and education, Dr. Roberts is the founder of Let Them Rock, a nonprofit dedicated to scholarships for performance-based music education. He is also a founding partner of School of Rock. School of Rock started as one school in Philadelphia and is now grown to nearly 300 schools in 34 states and 10 countries, and is the largest provider of music education in the U.S.
Prior to joining Dentist on the Square, Dr. Chintan Patel completed a General Practice Residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. During his residency, Dr. Patel received a broad experience in clinical dentistry as well as management of medically compromised patients. Dr. Patel earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine and Bachelor of Science from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. Having grown up in Philadelphia, PA, Dr. Patel is excited to make his next big move and call Dentist on the Square his new home!
Dr. Patel believes good overall health starts with great oral hygiene habits! He continues to educate his patients on good oral hygiene practice and encourages periodic checkups to ensure that his patients protect their greatest asset, their smile! Dr. Angelique Sweeney earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry at Temple University. Prior to her dental training she completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.
Dr. Sweeney is a passionate dental professional committed to providing the highest quality of comprehensive and cosmetic dental care. She was inspired to pursue a career in dentistry after experiencing the truly life-changing effects that dentistry can have on peoples lives. Her devotion to serving others in a truly meaningful way through dentistry remains the core value underlying her care. Dr. Adam Getreu earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. Having a strong interest in the surgical side of dentistry, Dr. Getreu advanced his education and received his specialty training from Temple University Department of Periodontology and Oral Implantology earning his periodontics certificate with a masters in oral biology.
Dr. Getreu is a member of the Delaware Valley Academy of Osseointegration, Northeastern Society of Periodontics, American Academy of Periodontology, the American Dental Association and is a Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Dr. David Slobodinsky has always been dedicated to helping others achieve an improved quality of life through better health. After receiving his dental degree from Temple University in 1983, he worked in a large group practice until 1988. He then decided to open his own practice and has enjoyed practicing comprehensive dentistry for the last 18 years. Dr. Slobodinsky values advancing his education and has dedicated over 300 hours to post-graduate studies. As he continues to grow in the dental industry, he discovered a passion for sleep dentistry and helping patients who snore and suffer from sleep apnea.

I had a tooth crack in the back of my mouth & when I called they were so endearing & understanding to my pain. A wonderful receptionist named Christy managed to find me an opening the same day. Vince the dental assistant brought me to the back & immediately seen I was at an 11/10 in terms of pain so he got Dr. Robert's & they numbed me up to help me feel much better ! Also Dr. Robert's taught me a breathing technique that applies to much more than tooth pain, all in all I spent 5 minutes in the chair & he gently extracted the tooth & made sure I was feeling much better before cracking a joke. This was hands down the best experience I've had at a dentist in my life & I would suggest any & all to give them a visit if you're in need of dental help.

My experience was not at all like how the rest of the reviews seemed to portray it. It was rushed, the quality of cleaning was low, and the front office has been spamming me to try and get me to come back for a year, despite me repeatedly having opted out of communications. During the visit, the dental assistant was rude and physically aggressive when taking x-rays, which was by far the worst interaction I've ever had with someone working in healthcare. The dentist seemed checked out and barely made eye contact. After the visit, they tried to get me to come back three times a year rather than the standard two. The front office was also persistent about soliciting positive reviews, even after I repeatedly declined. Quality of care care and patient experience are not centered here. From the ads for extra dental services plastered all over the waiting room to the rushed dental cleaning itself, the only priority seems to be maximizing profit for the owners.

I really had a good experience with Dentist on the square. All staff are great and kind. I went to extract my wisdom tooth, and I am really greatful to Dr Patel who did my surgery, surgery was fast, painless and comfortable. He did my surgery right away because I was under immense toothache when other hospitals had given me appointment after a month. I am satisfied with the surgery, I strongly suggest Dentist on the square. Really it's a blessing to have an amazing dentist who cares his patients.

It is my second visit to dentists on the square and I am totally satisfied, professional staff and Sam, the dental hygienist did a great job for cleaning my teeth. I would recommend DOTS for their amazing service and great staff.

I went for a general cleaning and multiple cavity fillings. Dr. Patel is absolutely fantastic, he took the time to answer my questions and did great work. The team is super friendly and helpful with sending reminders and getting appointments set up.

Front desk staff is nice as is the dentist however I do not recommend coming here after personal experience. I came here in 2019 and had some work done that needed replacing less than a year later. Annoying but I figured hey, that happens. I relocated back to the area in 2021 and gave them another shot. They recommended a crown be put on one of my back teeth. Their recommendation. The cost was roughly $1,800. I paid about $750 out of pocket and insurance covered the rest. Less than 4 months later, the crown fell out. I had moved to NJ during that time. Because of the emergency I went to a new dentist nearby. When they tried to reattach it, they literally laughed and said there was absolutely no way it was ever going to last. Their words: "This crown was NEVER set up for success." They tried to temporarily reattach and it fell right out. Crowns don't do that... and they definitely aren't meant to last only 4 months... My new dentist explained my tooth needed to be rebuilt and then a new crown created. So there goes another $2,000 payment :( When I explained this to Dentist On The Square, they completely ignored me and just continued to text me that I owe $180 for work completed. I'm not even sure how because I confirmed twice that I paid in full for everything and suddenly months later I owe an additional $180 for "the work" being the faulty crown which was their recommendation to begin with!!! And fell out immediately is now costing me thousands! So upsetting and infuriating to be honest. They have cost me so much money over the years and are proving difficult and SO shady. Like I said though, everyone seems pleasant when you interact in person but from my experience I definitely do not recommend

I want to start by saying that I could not recommend more Dentist on the Square for teeth cleaning and your average dental work. The receptionist is amazing, the dental assistants and the dentists are so kind and make getting your teeth cleanings every six months a breeze. But that is where my recommendation stops. I got my wisdom teeth out there exactly two weeks ago. I switched my appointment from February to January because they could take me earlier and I figured why not. Dr. Kim and the nurses after gave me one page of instructions and my prescriptions to fill and sent me out the door. They gave me a pain killer prescription I could not fill and another prescription I am allergic to- my chart literally says not to take it. I left two voicemails with the number they gave me trying to get new prescriptions not even two hours after I left the office. At that point my anesthesia had worn off and I was both in excruciating pain and still bleeding which I was told should have stopped by then, I left another voicemail. Still not call back. I was told I would be given his direct line for problems and instead it went to DOTS front desk and they did not call me back until Wednesday (not their fault they could not have fixed anything). I left another voicemail the following Saturday, something felt off. I was no longer in pain but my teeth and mouth felt uncomfortable and just felt wrong. Again DOTS called again and said they gave my cell phone number to the surgeon and I didn't receive a call back. While I will never need another wisdom teeth surgery, and hopefully will never need oral surgery again, I will never recommend Dr. Kyung Kim to anyone for the lack of post-op care and attention I was given. I want to say again this is not DOTS fault and Bonnie at the front desk has been an angel!

Everyone at this office is awesome! The atmosphere is soothing when you walk into the waiting area. Everything is bright and clean. Samantha was pleasant and explained every step to me. I felt very comfortable. Dr. Joe was very friendly and knowledgeable. He explained everything to me about my two cavities. This team is following their mission statement. Best customer service that I have ever encountered. You all deserve 10 stars!

I have always had a fear of dentist. I can honestly say that Dr. Roberts and his staff went above and beyond to make me feel relaxed and before I knew it we were finished. I love Dentists on the Square! Dr. Roberts is amazing. I didn't feel one shot and They took me the same day. Thank you Dentists on the square and thank you again Dr. Roberts.

Great office! Clean and knowledgeable about patient care. I highly recommend. They explained my treatment plan and recommended only necessary treatment. That's a first for me. So big ups to the entire staff especially Dr. Mathura who is calm and spends every minute with care.
