The place is not clear in the care room the back and a long wait time staff is not very comfortable to work with

I normally am not a review type of person, but the experience I had today just makes me sad for the patients that go to this dental office. I had an interview at the Grove location for office manager. It was hands down the most unprofessional interview I have ever had. In my current profession I interview and hire all new staff and I could not believe my experience. The office is nice, but I waited over 15 minutes past my interview time for them to call me back. When they called me the office manager brought me into the dentist's office. The office was a mess, open food containers, stains on the floor, papers everywhere. When Dr. Klein came in to interview me she was cold, uninterested, and did not ask any legit interview questions. During the interview staff came in and out of the office several times. They never once knocked, they just came in and interrupted and Dr. Klein was fine with that. She truly could not tell me a job description all she kept saying was "make sure you keep the schedule full" and "we have to constantly call people because we need to make money" then when I asked her what their training was like she said " we don't really do that, I mean you can ask questions but we expect you to figure it out on your own and use google to look up our programs if you need help" I knew I was done then. I am very capable of learning new things and have been in management for 10+ years but to have an employer tell you to just google how to work here is insane. I guess she could tell I was pretty confused by that so she said "well there is a group chat and you can ask me questions there" then she proceeded to answer a question in the group chat on the phone for 3 minutes while I just sat there. After reading these reviews I can completely back up that they are only out to get money and do not have any ones best intentions at heart. I would never work for someone like that.

I love this practice! They are very professional, super friendly and have great prices on bridges and crowns. I have Anthem dental insurance, but due to a clause I had to pay out of pocket for a new bridge. These guys we LESS THAN HALF of what my previous, long term dentist wanted to charge me. I made the switch and have never looked back. My new bridge looks fantastic. If you are in the same situation, I would strongly encourage you to talk to Dentist on Grove. You will not be sorry!

My first couple visits were great. Unfortunately I came in for a tooth that was infected. I knew it was infected when I got there and shared it with the dentist. I feel like she took shots at me due to some of the stupid questions she asked. Normally if there's an infection a smell will emit. Instead I was asked about my regular hygiene and after the infection was found by her...dugh I had to ASK to be treated for it via antibiotics before leaving. She wasn't even going to treat me for it. I'm definitely hoping I don't have to deal with her again.

A year and a half to two years ago, I found this dentistry based on the great Google reviews, but reading them now goes to show you how quick this office has taken the greedy path. They were the only place willing to see me during the pandemic for an immediate extraction. One of the dentist, Dr. Chang is really nice and has done good work, which is why I've given them two stars. I can't complain about any of the work, really. Yet, they may have influenced me to get work that I didn't need-- I know I have at least one crown that I did not need, but allowed the work in order save any possible trouble with that tooth in the future. Looking back on things, I am sincerely disappointed with them now and can admit the practice of this office is pretty dishonest and insurance-gouging. I questioned them about x rays bc I had gotten them twice already during my initial visit and at later visits for treatment then I allowed them for a third time for the crowned tooth that was semi-aching and THEN reluctantly a fourth time shortly after for my 6 month cleaning. Oddly, I noticed at my recent 6 month cleaning someone wrote "no x rays" with my name on a piece of paper, which seemed suspicious then the same hygienist from last time balled it up and trashed it when she entered. I wouldn't have needed x rays, but I'm sure had I not questioned it prior, they'd done them again just bc insurance covers them smh. (Idc the amount of radiation, I don't want any exposure if I can help it.) The heavy pushing of crowns is insane to the point that I can no longer trust their treatment plans. Dr. Klein gives me bad vibes and is obsessed with crowning. (Her work is very nice, though. A family member allowed her to crown the top 4 front teeth.) She wants to do my front bottom 4, but I told them I wanted to look into straightening my teeth first so they have been encouraging me to do the Invisiline with them, which is not even the best straightening method for my teeth-- (I didn't disclose to them that I already know that and they should know it as professionals while viewing the spacing in my mouth smh. It would require me to have more work done, ie bonding). The office manager is nice, but she's their salesman and I don't like how they conduct things-- They charged my insurance without stating that I would be charged for Klein to simply glance at my teeth; she had already assessed my teeth the visit before. This is deceptive bc the office manager asked if I would like Klein to take a look at my teeth due to the crown work THEY were suggesting. Ignorantly, I replied 'yes' as in sure, but I didn't expect for anything to be told to be differently than the last time. Now, I want to go back and look at my EOBs from all of my visits.

10/10 experience! My appointment was scheduled for 1pm, I came at 10am to see if I could be seen early. They checked me right in and got me to the back with in 20mins ! Wow Dr. Paul Chung was absolutely amazing. The numbing experience was superb, I didn't feel a thing. My filling was so fast and easy and my bite was great when I left! Highly recommend

What can I say? It was by far the most positive experience at a dental office! Dr Chung explained everything clearly and was very gentle...no pain meds needed. Lauren and Aviana were kind and engaging. Highly recommended. Thank you.

Do NOT go here. They will try to rush you into unnecessary and expensive dental work. I was told I needed 2 crowns, and it would be $900 out of pocket. Got a second opinion at another dentist who said I didn't have any signs of needing fillings or crowns whatsoever. I didn't even see a dentist until an hour and a half after my scheduled appointment time. It felt like they were trying to make money instead of providing honest and fair medical care.

I originally went to this dentist because they had lots of 5 star reviews- at my first appointment they told me "if you rate us 5 stars we will give you $50 off your next appointment"... which was the first sign I should have known it was sketchy. They did X-rays & told me I had 8 cavities. After having one "cavity" filled I decided to go get a second opinion from my employers dentist (VCU health). The attending I saw at VCU said I did not have any cavities and so they would have filled them unnecessarily. I never went back. One year after having that one cavity filled I still had sensitivity/pain on that side of my mouth. The dentist who did my filling had a terrible bedside manner/was frustrated I couldn't hold my mouth as wide as needed. I work in health care and was incredibly disappointed in this practice & I have NEVER written a review on google before.

I am very disappointed that i didn't read reviews prior to my appointment. I had an emergency wisdom teeth extraction due to i believe what could've been a infection and Shooting pain. Apt was for 10:30 didn't get sat or seated till 12:40ish . Reviews say this place is fraudulent and over charge. I believe this fully. This procedure office is just looking for whatever money they can get from you! Do not come here! If i could id make a claim against them because they highly overcharged me to the thousands for wisdom teeth removal and she did a bad job and left a fracture of my wisdom teeth in my gum! And now they are telling me i need root canal when my prior dentist Said nothing about a root canal! Reviews saying they tell patients that they need crowns most of the time they are just looking to take your money! Take your procedure and money elsewhere then Dentists on Grove! Do yourselves a favor and don't end up manipulated like i was and others were

I went in this morning and couldn't have had a better experience. I called mid-week with a toothache, hoping to get in the upcoming Saturday (which I knew wouldn't be easy) and they made it happen. They were incredibly helpful and walked me through my treatment plan with options, pricing, and payment options. Markeisha, Dr. Chung, and the entire staff completely alleviated my stress, and were super personable and accommodating. Would absolutely recommend!

Where to begin... been here three times now and always waited over an hour past my apt time. One time I had a 5 minute consult and waited for almost 2 hours. They need help with scheduling apparently. The hygienists I've had do not clean my teeth anywhere near as well as any other dentist I've been to. They've all seemed new to the job and not confident in what they're doing. I've had perfect teeth all my life and they tried to sell me crowns... went for another opinion and they didn't even believe me because of how ridiculous that seemed. They just want your money, don't fall for it. The front desk people were always sweet though, so that's one thing they have going for them.

From the office to the staff, excellent customer service. Straight forward honest information about your teeth, whichever I loved. Would refer anyone to come here.

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! This place is a scam. Key takeaways if you don't want to read the whole thing: - not trust worthy/potentially fraudulent - they say you need fillings/crowns/root canals when you don't - they say your insurance won't cover treatment and incorrectly charge you - they ignore your calls, don't return messages, leave you on hold for 30+ mins - took 3 months for them to refund me for a wrongful charge They are not trust worthy and potentially fraudulent. I've gone to them for last few years thinking it was a reasonable option for dentistry but have racked up quite the bill on work that probably didn't even need to be done. I, too, have been told I needed multiple fillings, crowns and they even said I may need a root canal. I am 27 and before coming to this dentist, I had perfect teeth. Please don't take these bad reviews lightly, the other bad reviews posted here are accurate! They have horrible customer service. The only person with any knowledge outside of scheduling appointments is the office manager who is conveniently never available to speak on the phone, and also never returns calls. She claimed my insurance would not cover something, causing me to pay $500 out of pocket. I submitted a claim and my claim was approved! It took me many dodged calls, in person visits, and finally getting the insurance company involved in order to get them to refund me my money. The manager gave countless excuses stating they would let me know when the check was mailed, and even told the insurance person that it was already mailed, yet the check itself was dated a week after that conversation. The insurance person who dealt with my complaint also stated that she has had quite a few complaints about this place. If you are an insurance provider, consider doing business elsewhere! For everyone else, know your insurance and submit a claim if you're unsure!

TLDR: Another bogus dental crown review. This practice is only interested in making money, even at the expense of their patients' well being. They told my wife she needed three crowns and possibly a root canal. She got a second opinion from another dentist and was told that there was no way that was the case and that her teeth are fine. They told me I need a dental guard and send in their finance person to try and push a high interest medical loan on me to pay for it. Avoid like the plague.

I am beyond delighted with this practice! I have seen two different dentists here, and their no-nonsense, straightforward approach was/is gratefully appreciated! I do not possess dental insurance. I laid my cards on the table with them concerning my minimalistic approach to dental options. In return, I have received face-value responses to my questions and a very reasonably-priced hygiene visit. I am very firm in what I'm about to say: at 58 years old, I have visited any number of dentistry practices...some good...some bad...some horrific. I had a dentist tell me one time that I had a cavity in my front tooth. I just didn't buy into it, so I declined filling it. 38 years later, and I've never had another dentist tell me I need a filling in that tooth! A few years ago, I was in need of somewhat urgent tooth care for a front tooth that was ever-so-slightly chipped. In need of timely attention, I went to a dental office that was new to me. I should've known better when the dentist told me he'd give me a $100 discount if I paid in cash. ... Ultimately, I was never told, nor did I know, that my two front teeth were being grinded down to nothing in order to accommodate caps. Perhaps I should've understood the steps required for this procedure. Perhaps I should've stopped the procedure mid-stream when this sanding went on for an extensive amount of time. But I didn't. I had no reason to question a medical professional. That night, when the temporary caps fell out in the middle of my Italian restaurant meal, I just about passed out in the bathroom mirror! Guess I should've figured as much when he pocketed the cash upon conclusion of the treatment. Lesson learned. Choose your dental practice carefully. And as for me, I will remain happy with peace of mind at the Dentists on Grove Ave! I will be singing their praises everywhere!

When coming to my visit I didn't know what to expect.. It was overall just not good. I came on time and sat a full hour waiting in the back to be looked at. They were beyond nice... at trying to sell me stuff. Before my teeth were even clean they wanted me to pay and book to get my teeth fixed when theres really not much wrong besides a gap in my front teeth. Out of curiosity I gave In to them and then gave them my insurance stuff . They were only supposed to bill one insurance for my visit. Then without my knowledge they bill both of my accounts and my insurances denied the charges due to how they billed it. They didn't communicate my bill wasn't paid months later via mail. The only thing I received was a notice from my insurance that I was billed twice. Then when it came to my cleaning it was subpar. My teeth were rushed through after an hour of waiting I was told I had a cavity and not where it was, nothing and when the doctor came in I was told my teeth were perfect and his inspection was mediocre at best. If you're looking to go to an infomercial sale-athon then this is the place for you. They cared more about making money and saying excess than they do about their patients.
