I was referred here for a scan from my regular Hermosa Smiles Dentistry. This place has terrible office staffing. I called 10 times on different days and times before I got ahold of anyone. Finally made the appointment I needed when I got there 10min early there was no one to be seen sounded like they were having a party in the back when it was past my appointment time I called the office, while sitting in it as no one knew I was there. They very rudly said someone will be right out after our staff meeting to help you. Don't make appointments for when you have a staff meeting! I have so much more respect for my dental office and recommend you drive a little further to Hermosa Smiles as their office staff is polite and they always answer/ return voicemails.

I went to Dentists of South Bay as a new patient and had the best dental appointment experience of my life. The front office staff were so kind and accommodating. I met with Dr. To and she was truly amazing. She came to the X-ray room to greet me and we had a full conversation about my dental concerns. I love how understanding she was and how advanced the office was. They were able to do my deep cleaning and lazer cleaning with antibiotics same day which I never got at my previous more dates office. They also do saliva testing which was really cool. Can't wait to get my 3 month cleaning!!!

This place is a fraud. They lie to you about how bad your teeth are and scare you into performing unnecessary but expensive "deep cleaning." Dr. To is a fraud. Swapped dentists and was told my teeth and gums are in good health and that deep cleaning was not necessary and that other patients have been misled by this office as well.

I went there for the fist time. The dentist told me that they don't do regular dental cleaning and specialize only in "Deep Cleaning". She claimed that it would cost me $1,100. On further questioning, she danced around different numbers and even suggested a place where I could get regular cleaning (with the same policy) at no extra cost!. I plan to call Delta Dental to find out what they would say about this.

caveat emptor. Make sure to check claim with insurance to make sure charge some what resemble the fee schedule. Questionable billing practice, but great salesmanship!

Had a dental phobia but thanks to Dr. To and her staff my fears have turned to courage. I didn't have insurance so I applied through the smile generation program and was accepted. Very high tech office. Definitely worth the money and awesome experience. I will spend the extra bucks in order to get the best treatment. Definitely coming back for my follow up cleaning. Thank you Dr.To and the team at South Bay your ladies rock.

Coming to this office is akin to going to a mechanic for a simple oil change and then being told you need an engine flush, fuel injector cleaning, and new spark plugs. Dr. To welcomes you in with a smile, explains the poor condition of your teeth and gums, and then sets you up for laser cleaning. Before you know what you signed up for, laser cleaning is progressing and you're out several hundred dollars. I've seen many dentists over the years due to work relocations, and this is the pushiest office I've experienced. Drove (80 miles) to a previous dentist for a second opinion. As suspected, the condition of my gums wasn't nearly as bad as Dr. To described and the laser cleaning done was unnecessary.

This used to be my dentist but after last yr in early 2020 I had some work done, two days after the procure I had headache that took 6 month to get rid of. Not only did the dentist didn't know why or what was causing it and I ended up seeing my doctor for it. Dentist told me they would talk to their colleague but never heard anything back, i was given antibiotics through my time and things ended up me getting C diff. Colitis because I didn't get no answer to my pain and it was a daily headaches for half the year with tylenol or other pain meds or home remdies didnt work.

I was looking at a photo just now and realized how great my teeth looked a year after getting a TON of work done here. In one day I had a tooth extraction, crowns, a root canal AND fillings done. I was terrified at first. Dr. To was incredibly helpful despite me shaking from nerves since I have always been afraid of the dentist. It is safe to say that after everything I went through that day I am no longer afraid to go to the dentist. I have moved away from Torrance but would recommend this dental office to anyone. The staff is all very friendly, and very welcoming with a great sense of humor. If I move back to Torrance I will definitely make this my go to dentist.

I have now visited the Dentists of South Bay 3 times and worked with Dr. Kam and the office staff each time. I am completely satisfied with the treatment received as well as the level of professionalism by each person within the office. I highly recommend this dental office to everyone.

I had a great experience at Dentistry of South Bay with Dr.Joan, & her staff. Dr.Joan, taking her time with answering my questions. All of her staff & Associates were Great & very Pleasant. The atmosphere, which I appreciate was very pleasant & easy to get in & around there shop.They all taking the time to make sure that you are comfortable and all of your questions were answered & understood. Dr. explained thoroughly every process and expenses.. Also Doctor Joan took time to explain best options and a plan four my Dentistry needs & willing to work with my insurance and affordability options. Which are very important to all. Thank you so much staff and Doctor for all your hard work and efforts on my behalf. It was appreciated. I highly recommend this place they are a great asset to our communitys & very much needed.

This is a great place! They have handled all the dental work for myself and my wife since we moved to SoCal, and handled it well! Everything from cleaning to crowns and implants, done professionally and efficiently...and at a very reasonable cost! I can't recommend them enough - if you're in the South Bay area, this should be your dentist!
