Lasers are a non-surgical approach to arresting the progression of periodontal disease. Following scaling and root planing, a laser is used to significantly reduce the bacterial colonies and decontaminate the infected periodontal pocket. Lasers also remove the infected tissue lining the periodontal pocket. As the infected tissue is removed, microscopic blood clots form and your body's natural healing response takes over. Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) is an advanced, proven technology that provides more precise three-dimensional (3D) imaging for more accurate diagnosis and treatment of oral health conditions. 3D dental X-rays can uncover issues that may not be detectable with 2D X-rays. All they care about is money!!!! They told me I needed a crown put in and cancelled on me at the VERY LAST MINUTE and then insist that I come in on a Saturday to have it done. The procedure was already paid for so nothing I can do but agree. This is the worst dentist office ever and I will make sure to take my business literally anywhere else from now on.

I came in with a dental emergency and received the kindest and most gentle care I have ever received from a dentist practice - from the lobby through to the dentist herself. Dr. Chessia Thomas was incredibly sensitive to my concerns, both physical and financial. Every person I have interacted with there has been truly kind and easy to work with. Very grateful to have found them as my new go to dentist!

My dentist was very nice and did well with the cleaning so I wish I could stay at this place, however, the office itself could do a much better job with handling insurance. The first time I went, I paid $140 out of pocket for a regular cleaning even though my insurance covered it. Once I realized this, I contacted the office and they provided me with a refund. Even though this was unfortunate, I decided to go back because they did provide the refund quickly. So I decided to have my wisdom teeth extracted with them. They asked for a $100 deposit for wisdom teeth extraction, BUT mentioned that if the appointment was cancelled, they would apply it to the balance. In the moment, they didn't mention that it had to be cancelled at least 3 days in advance, so therefore when I had to cancel, I lost my deposit. They are very quick to charge you without providing you with all the information needed to make an informed decision or without being fully aware of your insurance information. It's in a convenient location, but not worth the hassle you'll face with the office so I'll be moving on to another dentist office.

Overall I really enjoyed visiting this clinic! I visited here because my friend recommended this place. I did a regular dental exam (e.g., taking x rays, checking gum health) and deep cleaning. Dr. Yu and staff were very kind and friendly. Dr. Yu addressed all the questions/concerns I had and provided further recommendations so that I can make informed decisions in the future. I paid $150 for deep cleaning (including laser dental cleaning) as well as fluoride varnish. The price was reasonable, so I was pretty happy with it. Also, it was not painful at all compared to my previous dental cleaning experience with diff dentists, so I think I'll visit here regularly.

My husband and I have been going to this office since we moved to the area and they've been great. Everyone is super friendly and professional, from the front desk all the way to the exam room. They are also very efficient when it comes to time.

Clean, organized, and overall one of the cleanest dental offices I've ever been to. My husband and I are both patients of Dr. M and she's super at explaining why things are the way they are. Martin is really good at assisting in explaining bills before one would get them and the financing program, you can not beat it. Thanks for amazing cleanings!

Great experience here ! The staff and MD were all so welcoming and nice. I recently moved to this area and was in need of s new dentist. I did a lot of research and decided to make an appointment with this office. The gentlemen at the front desk were very helpful & made sure all of my insurance information was correct. The dentist, dental assistant, and dental hygienist were very knowledgeable and helpful throughout my appointment. I am very happy with my decision on my new dentist.

I was having severe tooth pain and they were able to see me the same day! I've had trouble in the past getting work done to my teeth because of payment options but Martin in the office literally worked with me to set up a payment plan to cover my costs. I can't express enough how grateful I am for that. Their office is very clean!! I also liked that they play background music throughout the office which helped me relax ( not like other dentist offices where all you hear is tools drilling). Dr. Thomas was very sweet, gentle( as gentle as she could be lol) and caring. I felt she was genuine when asking me about what and how I was feeling. All of the office staff were very welcoming and patient. They answered all of my questions and eased my mind about my dental concerns. I'm glad I'm making this practice my new dentist! I'd recommend to anyone.

Absolutely come here. Dr. Tomas and her staff are friendly and kind and they really talk you through everything. I first came here as an emergency option because my previous dentist closed early. I broke a tooth at 6:30pm and Dr. Tomas stayed late instead of asking me to come back another day. I was probably out of there an hour and a half later with a temporary crown and a plan to fix my tooth. I arrived with a sense of panic and a gap in my smile, and left feeling confident that Dr. Tomas was going to be able to fix it, and she did. The front desk staff are communicative and really good about explaining your bill or finding the answer when they don't have it right away.

Was not given Correct information from their insurance representative. Led us to do procedures without knowing that the prices of the procedures were not gonna be what they said it would be or any where close to it. Led us to choose this office over other but that was due to faulty/incomplete information almost feels like manipulative business model. I enjoyed the care provided by the dentist them selves but it is not worth the unprofessionalism Ive had to deal with

Dr. Mekhail and the staff at Dentist of Silver Spring were amazing. They truly take their time to explain every procedure and it's cost. They're all friendly and upbeat. It was a refreshing experience compared to previous places I'd gone to for dental care. I appreciate their kindness and consideration for every patient. I highly recommend them!

My first visit experience: The staff were amazing so was the doctor. I am just concerned why I was told I need deep cleaning and had to pay over $300 out of pocket. Before I moved to this area, I had done regular cleaning twice a year for as long as I remember at my previous dental office, all covered by my insurance. I had the best dentist and excellent dental hygienists who spent a good amount of time just performing regular cleaning in my mouth and never told me I had to pay out of pocket for a deep cleaning.

Dr. Thomas and her staff are outstanding. This is among the best dental practice that I've encountered. They are professional, courteous, highly competent and welcoming. I especially appreciate that this office is very transparent when it comes to finances. Before each procedure, they thoroughly reviewed all costs so there have been no surprise expenses. Also, they have been very responsive regarding follow-up care. I highly recommend this practice.

I really like this Dentist. The staff are friendly and professional. I've been twice now and have both times had a very pleasant experience. I did have a small dental issue the first time but I felt like Dr Thomas and the office manager both took the time to explain to me what was going on and what my options were. I felt empowered to make a decision that worked for me. My wife is now a patient as well and we look forward to our continuing care here.
