Lasers are a non-surgical approach to arresting the progression of periodontal disease. Following scaling and root planing, a laser is used to significantly reduce the bacterial colonies and decontaminate the infected periodontal pocket. Lasers also remove the infected tissue lining the periodontal pocket. As the infected tissue is removed, microscopic blood clots form and your body's natural healing response takes over. As you heal, the tissue reattaches to the bone and your gums return to a healthy infection-free state.

Let me tell you why this is the best dental clinic in Arizona! I went into this clinic for the first time last week to get a severe toothache looked at. I've only ever seen one dentist for all of my dental needs/cleanings for my entire life (on the other side of the country), so I was a bit nervous. After that first visit, I left feeling like a family member. Every staff member I talked to (I'm horrible with names, I'm sorry ) made my day and visit significantly better! Anyways, I ended up needing a root canal and came back on 10/17 for the initial treatment. They were busy, but still delivered the same level of high quality service that helped my anxiety out. We did the initial treatment, but halfway through I had a reaction to the numbing medication that I've never had before. Dr. Chen and the ENTIRE staff continuously kept and eye on me and took care of me better than most hospitals I've been to. They were so supportive and patient with me while my body sorted itself out, then finished the treatment past the time they closed. I can't stress enough that Dentists of Mesa is the only dentist I will ever see for as long as I live in Arizona. It is a fun and professional environment, so if you've read this far then there is no need to go anywhere else but Dentists of Mesa!

This office is affiliated with my regular dentist and accommodated me quickly for an emergency root canal. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and, although the root canal couldn't be completed due to a crack in my tooth, Dr Pratt was professional and courteous. They wound up pulling my tooth while I was still numb from the root canal and Dr Chen was equally as professional and courteous and pulled my tooth quickly and with very little trauma on my end. Unfortunately, when it came to billing I was charged for an extraction involving sectioning of the tooth and / or removal of bone, neither of which was required. It was a simple extraction that would have been under $150 at Western Dental, but was billed to me at just under $400. I tried getting clarification from the office and was told that it was just a code they had to use. Wanda was very vague with her explanation so I called my dentist office for further clarification and was told, this time, that it was a flat fee for being part of their discount plan. I'm not sure where the benefit is for being part of a discount plan to pay more than double for a simple extraction. I worked in dental offices years ago as a chair side assistant and understand that the dentist may go into a procedure thinking that the tooth will need to be sectioned because of root placement, but when the actual procedure isn't what you expected and it turns into a simple extraction you adjust your billing codes. Not in my case. The ADA codes are very specific and there is a code listed for "simple extraction." All answers I've received regarding this issue is as if that code doesn't exist. In closing, you will not find a friendlier office. They were awesome to deal with until it came to billing. Seems a little shady on that end. Beware, a simple extraction should NEVER cost $400.

This place is flat out awesome! From Wanda at the front desk, all of the technicians, and especially Dr. Chen. And the best part is, the next day, I don't feel like I went to the dentist.

I have severe anxiety and fear due to horrible and painful past experiences with dental offices and have not been to the dentist in 10 years over it. Dr. Chen, Claudia and Lindsay are absolutely wonderful. Even the receptionists asks how I was, hows my anxiety, and explained everything. I did receive medication to help with my anxiety which no other dentists has offered before. I went 2 days in a row for deep cleaning and removing/refilling old crowns and old fillings = about 6 hours of work. On top of the caring compassionate team, prices never changed. What was told to me stayed that way, and this has not been my experience before. I truly feel better about returning here, and continue my dental care with Dr. Chen. I understood my care and what I need to do going forward and truly appreciate this office and the time they took to make me feel comfortable.

Incredible people and service every step of the way. Super kind, friendly, thoughtful and helpful. Dr. Lily Chen did a wonderful job and was incredibly helpful and courteous. Highly recommend to anyone looking for dental work in or around the Mesa are.

This office is amazing. The whole staff was attentive to my needs. The hygienist Claudia did an great job getting me prepared for my treatment. I didn't need any work with the dentist Dr. Chaffee but his exam was thorough. Blaze took good X-rays and made me feel comfortable. The financial part of the visit went smooth. Wanda did great giving me all the details about my insurance. Thank you everyone at Dentists of Mesa. Vanessa and Makaylin thank you for your support as well.

All around excellent service. The front office staff, dental assistants, hygienist, and Dr. Chaffee were terrific the whole time. The treatment was discussed upfront, as well as costs. I highly recommend this office. You will not be disappointed. Update - I just left my deep cleaning, and I could cry. I haven't smiled like this in years. confidence is truly the most incredible gift their staff has given me. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

Best dental office in Mesa. Kaitlyn working the front desk is awesome and Dr. Chaffee is the realest dentist in the game. Haven't been to the dentist in years, but would come back here every month to get my teeth right. If I was local this would be my go to place. 10/10.

They were fantastic about getting me in on short notice, and I loved working with them. Everyone was professional and kind. I didn't end up using any of their services, but got some great feedback for some quick questions I had. I will definitely use them for anything else I need in the future.
