Digital X-rays offer a huge advantage in early detection and preventive services. Advanced image manipulation and analysis, for example, allows your doctor to detect early stages of gum disease through recognition of bone level changes, or by evaluating the results against a previous treatment.

An intraoral camera is an indispensable diagnostic and educational tool. The tiny video camera moves around inside of your mouth and generates a tooth by tooth video exam of your teeth. Using an intraoral camera allows patients to better understand their dental needs by seeing what the dentist sees and then having it explained.

Lasers are a non-surgical approach to arresting the progression of periodontal disease. Following scaling and root planing, a laser is used to significantly reduce the bacterial colonies and decontaminate the infected periodontal pocket. Lasers also remove the infected tissue lining the periodontal pocket. As the infected tissue is removed, microscopic blood clots form and your body's natural healing response takes over. As you heal, the tissue reattaches to the bone and your gums return to a healthy infection-free state.

I loved the doctor who did my root canal. He was very gentle, soft-spoken and seemed to care about my experience. Tell him I said That's how we communicated. Everybody was great!

Let me start by saying: I do not like the dentists. They terrify me. However, Dentists of Lexington has been nothing but compassionate and understanding, from the front office staff to the dental assistants to Dr. Fillosa. Highly recommend.

Efficient and courteous staff. Pleased with everything except time between root canal and crown. Would recommend others based on overall experience!

I cannot say enough good things about this office. I called for a new patient emergency appointment and was scheduled and seen within 2 hours. The staff was absolutely phenomenal! From the appointment secretary to the doctor. My former dentist retired so I'm very thankful to have found my new dental office family.

We went our first time and it was horrible... My mom just wanted to get a cleaning/X rays and it took like an 1 hour. Just for that???.... She didn't get a cleaning at ALL!!! That was just horrible.

Dr. Ali and her staff are very attentive and support my decisions. I have been coming to this office for about 3 years now and have not had any negative experience whatsoever. I enjoy interacting with the staff here and I never feel any pressure to do anything I don't feel comfortable doing.

I've been a patient at this practice for years. Dr. Gebhart was great. Since he left the practice, I have been seeing Dr. Ali. She is, hands down, the best dentist I've ever been to. She is very patient and incredibly kind.

Highly recommend Dr Ali! Dr Ali is highly skilled procedurally and has a kind and comfortable demeanor. It is easy to trust in her. She was able to prepare my tooth for a crown. Within the same appointment, she created the crown which perfectly matches my other teeth. I am proud to show off my new smile! Dr Ali works with a wonderful assistant, Heaven. Together they make your appointment an easy time. If you need a dentist, call Dr Ali .You will be happy with the results and, like me, you won't hesitate to return.

Amazing dental experience! I am new to town and was in search of a dentist. I had to get an emergency crown replacement and filling. Dr. Mareem Ali and her team was able to get me in quickly and complete everything in one visit. She was very kind and thorough in all her explanations and made me feel very comfortable throughout the whole process. Definitely one of my best dental experiences. Thank you!

Very great office but everyone speaks very loud, there is no confidentiality. Everything will be heard by everyone. Far as when your next appt, how much it cost what procedure your getting done.

They will tell you your insurance is in the network, just enough to get you in there when I seen my bill I'll see what the purpose of having insurance then that's when I found that they do not except my insurance I'm not in the network.

Dr. Lago removed my cracked wisdom tooth and the experience was wonderful! He is very friendly and skilled. His receptionist / appointment scheduler, Salena, was also remarkably friendly and efficient. He travels to several different offices in the area, so there will surely be an office convenient to anyone in the area. Dr. Lago didn't hurt me when he removed the wisdom tooth, he was very thorough (part of the tooth was hard to get out), he gave me Rxs for pain meds and oral rise and I am recovering very fast. If I ever have to have oral surgery again I will definitely seek out Dr. Lago, and I am recommending him to everyone I know in the Midlands. Also, he is one of a very few oral surgeons in the area who are participating providers (in-network) for the SC BCBS Dental Plus insurance program.

Horrible experience. The dentists drilled so hard! When I had my teeth cleaned it was horrendous! I usually LOVE going to the dentist. I referred people to him and 1 of them had an awful experience as well. I have switched dentists.

*edit* Updated after Doctor Ali reached out to me personally once she read my initial review. She was extremely gracious and took the time to address each and every one of the issues I posted about. I changed my rating, as most of the concerns I had with this location stemmed from me feeling as though I was just a number, and not a patient. Doctor Ali dispelled those concerns with one personal phone call. The rest of my grievances should have been directed at the West Columbia location, as I had wrongly assumed they were all under the same practice. My mistake was that I should've rescheduled with Dr. Ali again instead of going to the other location, but I was under the assumption that you were assigned to whichever doctor was available instead of having the same personal dentist on every visit. On the whole I am very satisfied with how Dr. Ali has handled this whole thing - and I would definitely go see her again - but I think the practice could benefit from improving their communication. As an example, my treatment plan involved getting a root canal retreatment, but I wasn't even scheduled for one until I went back to the West Columbia location to follow up on my infection having no response to the antibiotics I had been prescribed. Also, a lesson for myself, and perhaps others. Don't wait until you're in my position to seek treatment. If you're having the symptoms I had, reach out to your personal physician for advice well before you try to make a last minute emergency trip to the dentist. --- I was scheduled to see Doctor Ali for a tooth which I knew had developed an infection as it had a root canal previously and should not be causing the amount of pain it was. From the gate she acted as if she couldn't get me out of the room quick enough. I'm honestly not even sure that she looked at the x-rays that they took - and charged me for - but she threw some amoxicillin my way and was ready to send me out the door within 5 minutes of me sitting down. I expressed concern that the amoxicillin might not be enough to address an infection in the bone, but she was too busy selling me on retreatment with another root canal and a crown. She at least confirmed that I indeed did have an infection in that tooth. Despite my concerns that the was pain progressing into my ear, neck, sinuses, and even my eye, she insisted that she had been doing this for 20 years so she knows what she's doing. It was super condescending, but whatever. I was only concerned with getting proper treatment for my infection before proceeding to anything further. When I couldn't get her to budge on the antibiotic, I finally gave in and left. That was four days ago. I took the amoxicillin, but as I expected my problems only got worse. Dizziness, chills, blurry vision, some pretty severe eye pain, pain in my temple, pain in the orbit around my eye, and into the sinuses behind my eye. So I decided to get an appointment at their sister location Dentists of West Columbia. After making a second emergency appointment and arriving at the location They. Wouldn't. Even. See. Me. I told the receptionist all of my symptoms, and insisted something was wrong and the antibiotics were not working. AGAIN she was stuck in the loop of trying to sell me endodontic treatment and insisted they weren't going to do anything more for my infection right now until the endodontist saw me on the TWENTY FIRST of next month. Aight. Bet. I came home, got in touch with my doctor and told her my symptoms because I was absolutely positive that something was wrong and getting worse fast. She was appalled, and alarmed enough by my symptoms that she prescribed me an appropriate treatment over the phone, insisting that if I did not show improvement within 48 hours that I need to go to the emergency room ASAP.
