The dentists and hygienists are nice and do their job sufficiently, but the time you have to wait to actually be seen is ridiculous. If you have an appointment scheduled for 10am, don't expect the work to actually start until 10:45 or even 11. I have no idea why they cannot have more accurate scheduling so they don't waste people's time. I have had morning, afternoon, and evening appointments and none of them have actually started working on my teeth until 45 minutes after the appointment time. Even if I'm just going in to be evaluated by a specialist for a total of 5 minutes (no cleaning or x-rays or anything), the specialist still did not see me until 50 minutes after the appointment time. I would understand getting slightly backed up every once in a while, but they are consistently very late and appointments take twice as long as they have at other dentist offices and that is NOT because more time is spent cleaning my teeth. I would not recommend this office to anyone. There are plenty of other dentist offices that can sufficiently clean your teeth and not make you wait 45-60 minutes extra.

Very poor service They are scheduling too many appointments and very busy. They don't have time to do the cleaning properly. hygienist went away in between for half hour to finish some other cleaning ... I used to get better cleaning job for $50 at another dentist office. For my follow up appointment they kept calling three weeks in advance to confirm. They told me they are super busy with new customers trying to use their insurance before end of year ... guess what they want me to move my appointment to next year as they may not get much from me for follow up ... I figured it is better to cancel all appointment as they would be overbooked again and not provide proper service ... They charged me $700 for deep cleaning and all associated options.. they also got several hundred dollars from my insurance too. Their estimated charges to me was about $100 more than what my insurance company tells me, I asked for credit then figured it would be time wasted.

We were overcharged for my grandsons dental work. This was authorized by Cigna that we were overcharged 70.00. We have been waiting since June for the money. Cigna has called this office twice and we are still waiting for the check. They said it was sent Oct. 12 from CA. Is the mail this slow or are Dentists of Gainesville just a bad place for service. We will definitely not go back. We just want our money that is owed us. K. Warmus

I went to this place because they seemed nice at first. I have never had pain in my teeth before, until they put a crown and they did a filling( this was in November) and today still, it hurts so bad to eat anything or drink anything hot or cold. I let them know about this and they said "it was normal and it was going to go away" but it has been so long and I still have the pain! I went a couple times so they would look at it the receptionist didn't look very happy to see me and I saw her rolling her eyes a couple of times. I am very sad about this experience, because like I said they looked like they were very professional and very nice at first.

A welcoming and friendly environment. A very well organized office and they always make sure you understand what you are getting done beforehand. The doctors and hygienists listen to your concerns and make sure you are comfortable. Definitely a place I'd recommend to anyone in search of a dentist.
