Digital X-rays offer a huge advantage in early detection and preventive services. Advanced image manipulation and analysis, for example, allows your doctor to detect early stages of gum disease through recognition of bone level changes, or by evaluating the results against a previous treatment.

An intraoral camera is an indispensable diagnostic and educational tool. The tiny video camera moves around inside of your mouth and generates a tooth by tooth video exam of your teeth. Using an intraoral camera allows patients to better understand their dental needs by seeing what the dentist sees and then having it explained.

Lasers are a non-surgical approach to arresting the progression of periodontal disease. Following scaling and root planing, a laser is used to significantly reduce the bacterial colonies and decontaminate the infected periodontal pocket. Lasers also remove the infected tissue lining the periodontal pocket. As the infected tissue is removed, microscopic blood clots form and your body's natural healing response takes over. As you heal, the tissue reattaches to the bone and your gums return to a healthy infection-free state.

Not going back. The staff are all great! Very kind. Kim the dentist on the other hand, heavy handed, expensive and unpersonable. Everything she said sounded like a script. Said everything exactly word for word the same thing from 1 visit to the next 2 weeks later. Used the poker tool to "inspect" my gums between every tooth. I could feel it puncturing each time. My mouth still hurt the next day. She also left a chunk of cement between my teeth the last visit. When digging it out, i thought she was trying to pull my teeth out. She was literally turning my head by pulling on the tooth so hard trying to break off the chunk of cement that she left in. It was supposed to be an inspection and cleaning. She refused to to the standard cleaning and stated that she wouldn't touch my mouth again until $1000 worth of deep cleaning with an antibiotic wash was done over 2 additional appointments. I asked about a normal cleaning because I'm still paying for the last one. She interrupted said no not possible, I'll have my payment insurance person come back with a quote on the work that needs to be done. The receptionist comes back in 15 min with a 6k quote, never saw the dentist again. Worst dental experience I've had. Will not ever go back to her. I do not have extreme gum disease and my teeth are not going to start falling out. I brush, floss and use mouth wash 2 times a day.

Came in to inquire about services. Was told I had to call my insurance company to see if I was an hmo or ppo. I told the lady never had to call to specify a dentist office. I am a ppo. She insisted I call my insurance. I then inquired what is the process when if they state ppo. She stated to just call them and make an appointment... even though I already told her I was a ppo. If the front office cannot figure out a patients insurance or unwilling to call, what does that say about the dentist. I am a little skeptical with the reviews as well, only 5 stars or 1 star.

Yes, they are verrrry friendly and smooth talking, but watch your wallet. This is, as others have noted, a huge upsell business and you'll walk out asking yourself "did I just get taken to the cleaners?"

Thanks Trisha Cole. The people here are so nice and great at explaining everything. Even deep cleaning isn't so bad. Get your teeth worked on here.

Read the other 1-star reviews. Family member had the same experience. Tried to upsell a deep cleaning (vs. a regular cleaning), plus other "required services," for $1,400. Not a typo. This for someone who had a perfectly clean bill of dental health only 9 months ago and isn't yet 30.

This is not a dental office! Its an upsell machine, their primary interest is to sell you what is not covered by your insurance. Came in for a simple cleaning, they refused to do it. Want to do deep cleaning that I did not need. Blaming on some office policy. They should be selling used cars no working on humans. Waisted afternoon!!!!

Was recently assigned to this office by my insurance co. At first glance thought it was just another strip mall dentist office, boy was I wrong!!!! This is one of the most professional dentist offices I have ever been in. State of the art everything, from the staff to the medical equipment and the doctors as well. They were caring, explained everything in detail and offered options for any budget. The staff is over the top accommodating and the doctor pointed out issues I wasn't aware of, in order to prevent further problems. I can not recommend them highly enough. If you are looking for a GREAT dentist office in the ElDorado Hills area, look no further.

This is a fantastic dental office with excellent dentists and staff who genuinely care about their patients. The office itself is spotless and the dental tech is top-notch. I have interacted with a lot of the staff over the last 6-10 months: Dr. Kim: The owner and a wonderful and skillful dentist who genuinely cares about her patients. She's very patient and takes the time needed to explain complex procedures. It's very clear that her top priority is to provide excellent experiences for her patients. Angela: The office manager and often at the front desk. She's a delight to work with, and she takes care for any issue expeditiously and with initiative. She has multiple times worked around a very tight schedule, and always with a smile. Trisha Cole: Thorough and patient hygienist who does an excellent job and takes the time to answer any questions you may have. She is happy to give you advice about general dental care, but she will not lecture you. A great hygienist! Dr. Herrera: An excellent periodontist! One of the very best at what he does, and also very nice and friendly. Nicole: A first-class dental assistance who has helped me during multiple visits to the office. She knows what she's doing, very friendly, and makes your visit a joy. Dr. Swenson: I have not interacted as much with him as with Dr. Kim, but he seemed very knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. Final note: There was a brief period some months back when the front desk experience was not so good. The front desk lady was seemingly very nice, but issues and headaches would always arise which polluted the overall office experience. Dr. Kim picked up on these issues, and that person no longer works at the office. Dr. Kim truly cares about her patients and their experience, and if there is an issue, she will make sure it gets fixed. I'm convinced that as long as Dr. Kim is in charge, this dental office will remain superb and full of happy patients for the foreseeable future.

My first visit at this office was such a great experience. Destiny was so nice and knowledgeable, she made the x-rays go smooth. I usually have a hard time getting through them but she had the magic touch! Dr Kim was so gentle and explained everything really well. I feel really comfortable here and I'll be coming back!

The very knowledgeable and friendly staff made my visit an enjoyable experience, especially for a first-time patient. I will be bringing my entire family here from now on. The office space was new and immaculate. Overall excellent!

Went there for the first time had a great experience. From the initial check in that went quick to the process of getting X-rays which the dental assistant Tori was outstanding, Tori explained how the process works then she led me to the exam room and explained the next step of the appointment which helps lower your anxiety of seeing a dentist when DR.Swenson finished my exam he explained all treatment options. The office was very clean and organized.

Very poor experience. It appears they make you feel like your teeth are a mess. I also saw very questionable billing practices. I will describe my sequence of events below and allow you to make your own interpretation. They are compared here against a '2nd dentist' I saw 3 weeks later & with whom I did get the work done. I am a 47 year health care professional clinician so I believe I can see acceptable vs. unacceptable practices. However, I do worry about those patients without with my experience for fear that they are subject to be taken advantage of which is why I wrote this. 1. First, they told me I needed endodontics work before placing a crown and referred me to an endodontist with the same last name as the 1st dentist. My 2nd dentist indicated no endodontist work was necessary and placed the crown without it. This seems an apparent unneeded referral and to top it off, perhaps to a family member. 2. They told me my gum score numbers were all 4,5's and above meaning very bad. The 2nd dentist gave me excellent gum scores of 1,2,3's and are in line with what I have historically had. I let you decide if you think that 3 weeks later and a change in electric toothbrush can make that much difference. 3. They recommended every 3 month laser cleanings at $80/treatment. The 2nd dentist stated I have some plaque that needs to be cleaned and did so in the one office visit with no laser treatments recommended. 4. They tried to bill me $1,135 copay for the crown. Upon checking with my insurance, my copay should be $395. When I confronted them, they stated they would honor the $395 while asking me for the insurance documentation and said they would get back to me. I then sent that documentation to them, but never heard from them again. All of this even though they told me to get the crown done quickly so it wouldn't get worse. I learned that they upgraded the crown materials which it is why it was greater the $395 copay but even so it was still $400 more than the 2nd dentist who also upgraded the materials.
