Lasers are a non-surgical approach to arresting the progression of periodontal disease. Following scaling and root planing, a laser is used to significantly reduce the bacterial colonies and decontaminate the infected periodontal pocket. Lasers also remove the infected tissue lining the periodontal pocket. As the infected tissue is removed, microscopic blood clots form and your body's natural healing response takes over. HORRIBLE place! If I could give 0 stars I would. Takes forever to get an appointment for cleaning and then when you finally do, they leave you sitting in their lobby for ages after your appointment time. Very disrespectful and inconsiderate. Guess it's because when you go in for a cleaning, they always try to upsell you on some other procedure or treatment you don't need. Consequently, their time management is non existent. This place is all about how much money they can make off their patients. They really don't care about providing good dental service.

Absolutely the worst dentist office I have ever been to. If you actually get to be seen by a dentist, they have pretty decent service. However, they have a habit of cancelling appointments last minute - even when scheduled months in advance. I originally chose this location as they offered later appointments. I made a 4pm appointment two months ago online. They called me yesterday to reschedule (probably the 3rd or 4th time) and told me today their latest appointments are now 3pm. I work long hours and don't have the time to continuously change my schedule around last minute and have my appointments that I make months in advanced cancelled and pushed back weeks because they can't be consistent or reliable. I guess if you don't work or have a flexible schedule, this place would be great. For those of us that don't they're a total let down.

Like several other reviews have mentioned, this place has highly questionable billing practices. My mother went in for a dental procedure and was told that she would need to pay for the entire procedure in full up front, which was a lot. She asked repeatedly if insurance was going to be billed and they said it was. It sounded questionable given the amount, but she paid it. It has been several weeks now and the claim has not been submitted to her Delta Dental plan, which has caused financial strain. Several calls and messages to this office have yielded no response, so we are in the process of escalating this matter with her main provider in the hopes of obtaining a resolution. I advise everyone to explore other options and avoid this place at all costs.

Dentists of El Cerrito Plaza was recommended to me by one of my neighbors, I was a little hesitant at first because I detest trying out new places but I had the BEST experience EVER in this office. Scheduling was easy, picking out the right Doctor was easy, staff was super friendly, professional & helpful! Dr. Pari was very patient with me and made me feel really comfortable. ( I get super anxious when it comes to dr offices) I am genuinely happy with my whole experience here, I plan to come back with all my family for all our dentist needs.

I was assigned to this dental office after my previous Kaiser Delta Dental dentist dropped out of this plan. It took several months to get an appointment which I thought would be a regular teeth cleaning, X-rays and checkup. At my appointment it took a long time to fill out the paperwork on an iPad. Another long wait before getting lots of X-rays. More waiting before the dentist came in to tell me that my X-rays showed that my teeth had shallow roots so I needed a deep root cleaning and a laser treatment to complete the job. The laser portion would cost me $750. Luckily he couldn't do it right then because he was already hours behind. I canceled my appointment and decided to go back to my previous dentist who I had been with for many years even though I would pay for it myself. That dentist did a gum exam, regular cleaning, and dental exam. He didn't think I needed a deep root cleaning nor a laser treatment. So buyer beware of Dentists of El Cerrito Plaza.

This office is the best ! Is super clean the staff are amazing. I had my front tooth broken and Dr.Pari fixed it same day and was so nice. She makes you feel super comfortable. I highly recommend dentist of el cerrito plaza !

I love this place Dr Pari is an Awesome dentist. She takes her time and explaining your treatment and answering your questions as needed. She also makes you feel comfortable during the procedure and takes her time to perfect her work. Also, her assistance are the best always professional.

Dr.Pari was so nice ! I dont usually give reviews but this office deserves it. I had to get a crown with a root canal and they have a specialist they made my appointment and went over all the cost with my insurance. They help you out so much ! The staff are amazing all make you feel so welcome. Dr.Pari did an amazing job with my crown ! If your looking of a dentist this is the place to go !

I have been nervous all my life about going to the dentist but when I came to Dentists of El Cerrito Plaza I was welcomed so good and the hygienist Dr.Pari who saw me made me so comfortable and made my visit worthwhile. I love this place and will recommend it to anyone who will like a great dental experience to go there. Great staff! I will never go to any other dentist except this one.

Great experience at Dentists of El Cerrito Plaza. Dr.Pari is one of the best dentist that's ever worked on my teeth. I had to get a crown with a root canal and they have a specialist they made my appointment and went over all the cost with my insurance. I use to have so many problems with my previous dentist, but Dr.Pari has fixed these Issues. Also, she has given me great tips on maintaining great dental hygiene. I would recommend this office to everyone!

I had a 10:15am appointment and had to wait over an hour for xrays. After the dentist spend 5 minutes checking my gums, I waited another 30 minutes for the team to then inform me that the doctor had a meeting and couldn't do my cleaning. My options were to come back that afternoon OR reschedule for the next week. So after waiting over 2 hours at the office, I have to come back AGAIN next week to do my routine cleaning. Safe to say, I'm disappointed at their time management and organization.

Couldn't thank them more for their services and care. Great care team and very professional. Not to mention quick turnarounds on orders related to crowns. My mom was visiting as and was on a visitor's insurance. Unfortunately one of her tooth cracked and led to a root canal. Dentists of El cerrito plaza team was very professional and thorough in evaluating the condition and providing relief to my mother in a very short span of time. Our visit was promptly scheduled and addressed in the same appointment. Crown turnaround time was super quick, we got everything fixed in the same appointment. Highly recommend them for your dental related consultations and treatments.

As someone working in healthcare as well, I think this office and Dr. Parijatha did a wonderful job. I had X-rays and cleaning done. I do not feel like the other reviews do her justice. She didn't try to upcharge me or recommend a higher cleaning than was necessary and even gave me advice on how to prevent staining from my daily coffee. Her X-ray machines and office including her charting system was all very high-tech. I have been scammed before by another dentist Dr Galvan in Clayton, concord and have worked for an anesthesiologist myself who was upcharging people and finding unnecessary procedures. I did not feel like Dr pari was at all doing that. So here's my two cents. You should give this place a try and not be deterred by the 3.5 reviews.

Dr Peri and her amazing assistant Camella are excellent communications. Dr Peri did teeth clean and she did great job and super gentle. I highly recommend her and the rest of the stuff.

I had awful experience with Dr. Karamsetty, who was totally disrespectful of my time. I had a 10:30am appointment. An hour and a half into my appointment (close to noon), I had only gotten an x-ray and a quick look at my teeth by Dr. Karamsetty, but no teeth cleaning, and had been waiting in the examination room for 15 minutes without anyone coming in. When I left the room to ask how much longer the wait would be, they asked me if I could return 1pm (one hour later). When I expressed my confusion, Dr. Karamsetty told me they were on their lunch break, so if I wanted my teeth cleaned, I would need to return at 1pm, even though my appointment started at 10:30am, well before lunch! When I expressed my frustration, she said no one had told me my teeth would be cleaned. I guess the implication is it was presumptuous of me to expect a teeth cleaning during my standard dental check-up. In any case, if they were not going to be able to clean my teeth until 2 1/2 hours after my appointment started, this should have been communicated. In all, my standard dental check-up took almost 3 and half hours. Dr. Karamsetty also tried to charge me $200 dollars out-of-pocket for an advanced cleaning, without notifying me that she could also do a standard cleaning, which was fully covered by my insurance. Even if she recommends the advanced cleaning, I would hope Dr. Karamsetty would have told me all my options when so much money is involved.

I love Dentist of El Cerrito! Dr. Pari is a wonderful dentist! I had to get a crown and it is the most gorgeous crown in my mouth yet! I would highly recommend this dentist to anyone out there looking for a great and honest dentist! Keep smiling

I was relatively happy with my visits themselves. The only issue is that they continue cancelling my appointments. Before my first visit, they cancelled one day in advance and postponed my visit by one week. The second time, they cancelled only one hour prior to my appointment. This time, I have just called them to ensure that I am all set for today's visit and they told me I am not in their books. Again! Third time in two years! So, if you are looking for a reliable and well-organized dentistry, then "Dentists of El Cerrito Plaza" is NOT the right place for you. I think I am going to switch as well. Update: They promised to call with a new appointment time but till today (two months later), I have not received their call.
