An intraoral camera is an indispensable diagnostic and educational tool. The tiny video camera moves around inside of your mouth and generates a tooth by tooth video exam of your teeth. Using an intraoral camera allows patients to better understand their dental needs by seeing what the dentist sees and then having it explained.
Lasers are a non-surgical approach to arresting the progression of periodontal disease. Following scaling and root planing, a laser is used to significantly reduce the bacterial colonies and decontaminate the infected periodontal pocket. Lasers also remove the infected tissue lining the periodontal pocket. As the infected tissue is removed, microscopic blood clots form and your body's natural healing response takes over. As you heal, the tissue reattaches to the bone and your gums return to a healthy infection-free state.

If I could give a zero star, I would. They have a very disappointed and rude customer service. I been trying to talk to a manager to discuss charges and she makes herself unable. Even when she scheduled me an appointment to talk with me, she is not available.

The service level was awesome for the actual procedure. 3 stars were given because my appointment time was not honored. The doctor was still performing a procedure when I arrived right at my appointed schedule time. As a result I was actually seen by the dentist almost an hour after my scheduled time.

Horrible!!! I walked out after waiting for over an 1hour and 30mins!!! What a waste of time!!! I don't recommend this place at all!!!

I don't normally post, especially after a dentist appointment, and even worse getting a root canal. However, I must say that was the best experience I've ever had. Dr. Linger was by far the most experienced dentist I've ever had. I never even felt the shot, and I practically fell asleep during the procedure. I highly recommend him and the whole crew at dentists of bakersfield.

Not a good place. Charging me money for some reason. My insurance always take of everything. Poor receptionist. Won't be going back. Read all the other poor reviews. Stay away.

This dentist office is amazing! Dr. Shah is very laid-back, knowledgeable and very caring! He's honest with you and doesn't do any unnecessary work unless it really needs to be done. Also he's very understanding with financial needs as well. They take care of my entire family for our dental care. The front staff is incredible along with the hygienists and assistants!! Cheri the office manager goes over and beyond to accommodate anything you need! She's truly a gem and they're so lucky to have her! Highly recommend them.

They gave me an appointment and had me wait without giving me an estimated time of wait. I have other appointments scheduled and they don't show any sympathy. They are behind for hours.

Never come here!!!! This place is the worst place I ever been to. The wait took forever and doctor Shaw was not friendly. It's bad that I have to come home and brush my teeth because the cleaning was that bad. Dr Shaw was extremely fast and did not take time to really clean my teeth. It was extremely painful! Don't ever come here!!!

I was a new patient to just get a cleaning and they didn't seem to care about anything. Had an appt but in 45 mins I spent there all they did was take 100 xrays and I sat in the chair and waited. Finally got up and just left, the funny thing was when I was leaving all they said was ok goodbye. I would avoid them. Find anyone else.

Horrible scheduling service! I've been waiting for my appt for weeks and they called me to cancel it the day of just for not confirming prior! And gave my appt slot to someone else!?! Such B.S. I've Never had that issue/done to me before. I've never had any no shows and I'm always early. So messed up, unacceptable. We have lives we have to rearrange for these appts. for you guys to just do that is ridiculous

I Love this place, The Person I spoke to when making my Appointment was Awesome, he put me at ease and was very Caring. The Staff was very Caring and Professional and made me feel like Family. The Doctor gave me the Facts and my Options and helped me that Day. Thank you all for taking me in on a Holiday, I totally will be recommending this place to everyone I know!!!!

Super fast, easy appointment process online at their website! I was able to make an appointment around my work schedule and right away. My appointment was a fast check in and wait time as well. Everyone in the office was professional and helpful starting with the Receptionist, Dental Assistant, X-Ray Tech, Dentist, and Benefits Coordinator. I recently changed dentists due to health insurance. Since COVID-19, I was very scared to approach going to the dentist again but I knew I couldn't avoid it anymore. I'm actually looking forward to going back for my long term treatment!

My 2 year old son had a dental emergency and we were referred here by our general dentist who could not treat him. We just showed up without an appointment and was squeezed in right away. Everyone was so nice and friendly. The X-ray tech was very friendly and calming towards my son and we finally got a image taken after many tries at the first office. Everyone here was so kind and reassuring to him he instantly relaxed and let them do everything they needed to do. After our visit I changed all my children over to this office and me and my husband are going next door to their adult office. I appreciate what your office is doing for our kids. Thank you so much for taking care of my baby!!!!

We waited three hours to be told they made an error with scheduling and after taking X-rays would have to schedule an appointment several weeks out to have my six year olds cavities filled. The doctor did not explain what was needed at all or what tooth specifically needed to be filled or is causing the pain. They were incredibly rude and sighed heavily when I asked questions about my child's teeth and exam. I will never go back. Save yourself the time and headache and DON'T COME HERE. I'm also pretty sure there shouldn't be vials of epinephrine near the sinks just lying around.

I can't imagine anyone giving this business anything less than 5 stars. It was the best experience I've had at a any dentist...ever. I've had some pretty bad dental experiences in my life. I'm quite literally terrified of dentists. I had a dental emergency yesterday. I'd been in intolerable pain for several days and my daughter called the Dentists of Bakersfield as she goes here and loves them. They were kind, understanding and most of all non judgmental or dismissive. They ensured I felt comfortable and did everything they could to end my misery. I was even able to see the oral surgeon the same day (whom was incredible and very caring). I will never ever go to any other dentist. Even if I move lol. I don't care. I finally found a great place. Took my father there for root canal waited 3 months for this appointment. The lady at front desk says she was reading in chart that he needed approval from cardiologist to have procedure done but it's too late to do today. Too late now why couldn't they have said something prior. They had 3 months to tell us and decided to say it day of appt when it is impossible to get. Very poor business practice, very poor customer service. 88 years old he couldn't have been their first patient in this situation. Ridiculous
