My daughter is 27 and has Down Syndrome and Autism. It has been a struggle for years trying to find a dentist that would deal with her as she doesn't like to be touched and doesn't cooperate. I am so grateful to this facility, its donors, the friendly staff, and especially, Dr. David Jourabchi, who was sooooo calm and patient with her. We didn't feel rushed or like we were the worst parents EVER since she didn't want to be there. He kept trying to calm me (Mom) down!! This was only her first visit but we will definitely be back as many times as it takes. Fantastic place! Highly recommended!!!!
The only place to take your child (or adult) with special needs. A very positive and loving environment that helps children of all ages receive proper dental care. The dentist talked both my children through the visit and did not do anything to them without permission. They offer sedation for procedures that might scare the client. It is an amazing facility and worth the hour drive. Take the special needs person in your life here and let them feel as empowered and brave as my children did.
The team was awesome, everyone made my son and I welcome. The dentist was very patient with my son making him feel comfortable by interacting with him and letting my son engage in the process of getting his teeth clean. I highly recommend this office to anyone with autism and other special needs.
I will make patients and their families and caregivers feel welcome and appreciated in our office. I am their advocate to ensure they receive the best dentistry possible in an atmosphere where they are most comfortable.
I have the privilege of working every day with amazing patients and learning about their individual needs to create a positive experience. Our patients and their caregivers have shared the struggles they have faced in other health care environments, and I am happy to be a part of creating the dental home they deserve.
I love to travel, check out new restaurants, go to the movies, listen to podcasts, and watch baseball. Although I am a Dodger fan at heart, I have grown to love the Dbacks as well and go to in-person games whenever I can.
I have been in dental management since 2010, and in 2019 joined the PDS Foundation; I was excited when the Dentists for Special Needs office opened because I was eager to work within our special needs community. In my spare time, I enjoy bicycling, walking my dog Jet, and relaxing with friends.
