Dr. Skinner grew up in Centerville, UT. He studied science as an undergraduate student at Weber State University in Ogden, UT, before going on to achieve his DMD from Temple University in Philadelphia. Since graduating, Dr. Skinner has stayed up-to-date in the dental field through continuing education, enabling him to provide his patients the most advanced treatments, including Invisalign, implants, and oral surgery procedures. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the Crown Council.
Dr. Skinner and his wife, Krystal, have two boys, Trey and Tyson, and one girl, Kaajun. Dr. Skinner is an Eagle Scout and an avid basketball fan. Dr. Skinner served a two-year religious mission in Samara, Russia. He enjoys sports, lifting weights at the gym, and most importantly, spending time with family and having fun with them at Disneyland.
Dr. Skinner is a proud sponsor ofOperation Smiles, a charity which provides surgical services to children born with facial deformities, including cleft palate and cleft lip. As an international organization, Operation Smiles mobilizes medical professionals to travel to countries throughout the world with few resources and little or no access to modern medical care, and provide reconstructive medical care to children and young adults in need. Many of these individuals come from impoverished families with no means of paying for the reconstructive surgery needed to lead a normal life. Cleft lip and cleft palate make it impossible to eat, talk, socialize, and smile normally. Through Operation Smiles, more than 200,000 free procedures have been performed to correct facial deformities on children and young adults, forever changing their lives.
Kathy Murphy, RDH Kathy is a graduate of Pima Community College, where she graduated with a B.A. in Dental Hygiene. She has been practicing dental hygiene for 18 years and is a member of the American Dental Hygiene Association.

I had 2 crowns replaced. My experience was professional yet compassionate. The new crowns fit great and Dr. Skinner had them made to fit in retainers that I wear on a regular basis. In September, I had my teeth cleaned by Sashi; she did an extremely good job, the best that I can remember! Thank you

I always enjoy the staff and my experience at Dentistry on First!! Today's appointment was no exception This was my first visit with Dentistry on 1st and I enjoyed all the people and the Dentist!!! I have found a new dentist office, very pleased with my whole experience, so thankful . This was my 3rd visit again...still received 5 star rating from me!! Dr Skinner was so caring, I never had a dentist that talked to you during a procedure to make sure the patient is doing good. I had such an awesome team in the room the nurse in the room was nice enough to let me hold her hand when things got tuff.though my appointment took longer than expected I never felt like he was rushing throughthe appointment. I am happy to have found such caring staff from the moment you walk in. Everyone very friendly. Thank you everyone. Thank you Dr. Skinner.

This was by far the best Dental experience I've ever had. I was in pain all weekend and I wasn't sure anyone would be able to see me. Dentistry On First fit me in immediately! Dr. Skinner was so confident, caring, and understanding. I had two teeth removed and although I have serious dental anxiety everyone there helped me feel safe and secure. It was fast and painless and for once in my life, I'm excited to continue going to the dentist. Dentistry On First is fantastic.

Everyone was very nice and helpful and I was taken back within 5 min of my appointment time. Dr. Skinner was extremely thorough and made me feel super comfortable while also explaining everything into detail for me to gain a better understanding of how to move forward. 10/10 recommend!!!

Worst experience here. Water pouring down the sides of my neck during cleaning onto my clothes. Aggressive scraping and painful cleaning . Left the office with toothpaste on my cheek.

Elizabeth was my hygienist and I would have to say she was very experienced very personable and she was very attentive to my needs I forgot about taking some antibiotics before I came in and when she heard that I forgot she immediately stopped all work questioned me if I had any previous cardiac problems and of course I had open heart surgery in 2018 she then left for a little while and I thought to myself I'm going to have to come back and do this again but to my surprise she took care of me and came back with some amoxicillin that was very smart on her part and I appreciate it. So thank you again Elizabeth for working on the side of caution it could have been a real costly and life-threatening mistake.
