After years practicing, mentoring, growing and shaping Dentistry of the Carolinas, our founder Dr. John Walsh has transitioned to a new phase of life where he is enjoying time with family and is favorite hobbies. We dont call it retirement because for all who know Dr. Walsh understand that word is not in his vocabulary. Dont be surprised to see Dr. Walsh at any of our offices tinkering with a project or fine tuning some dental equipment. He will always be part of the DOC family.
Tooth fairies collect teeth from underneath pillows each night and bring them back to Tooth Fairy Land. They plant these little teeth in a Tooth Garden to sprout new baby teeth. One tooth grew a bit too big to be a baby tooth, this was Flossy. The Fairies didnt know what to do with Flossy until they decided that he would be sent to the human world full time to teach kids how important it was to take care of their teeth.
Trees do not grow gumdrops Sour Patch Kids are not found on playgrounds Most importantly, you could NEVER get cavities in Tooth Fairy Land like you can in the human world if you dont take care of your teeth!
Flossy loves sweets and candy and cookies and especially Surfer Cooler flavored Capri-Suns. He used to surf the molasses ocean in Tooth Fairy Land, it moved very, very slowly which was perfect for him because hes kind of big and slow himself!

I'm a first time visitor to DOC University. From the time I walked in everyone was great, pleasant and engaging. Thanked me for filling out the many form in advanced (so make sure you do that makes life easier when you arrive). My dental hygienist was attentive answering all my questions. Was even patient with me when I was hesitant to take the Panoramic Dental X-ray. Allowing me to read up on before hand. Very patient! Dr Cabana was amazing spent the needed time to discuss my treatment plan. Overall it was an amazing first visit and I feel comfortable transitioning from my previous dental office to DOC University. I'm only leaving my other dentist due to insurance plan change

This is one of the best dental offices I've visited! From the front desk to the Dentist of course, everyone is so pleasant. Dr. Cabana is so patient. She explains EVERY process that she is doing with your teeth. And does so in a way that is clear and comforting. Even the front desk staff is pleasant to deal with. Christina's patience has been shown as there continues to be issues with my insurance. I strongly recommend this office.

Dr cabana and staff were great, high-level of care for your comfort and pain level. Automated email reminders for your appointment and latest tools used. I had a deep cleaning, root canal and filling done.

Went there after years of neglecting my teeth to finally deal with my dental issues. They did a great job of treating all the issues and then getting me on a path of proper maintenance and have continued to go there for years. Dr Cabana and Katie are terrific professionals and wonderful people as well. Front desk personnel are very helpful as well.

I've been coming to this office for my cleanings for over 2 years now and the process and attention to detail is always great. My dental hygienist, Robbin is very sweet and takes the time to make you feel comfortable and relatable during the entire process. I recommend this location to all my friends

Had a couple visits here: first to diagnose a tooth abscess and second to have a crown placed after an endodontist performed a root canal. I was very pleased with my care and the results in both cases. Dr. Cabana and her team talked me through what was going on with my diagnosis and what procedures would be needed to be performed. I experienced no pain during the placement of the crown, which was a relief as I was nervous going into the appointment.

AMAZING experience! They didn't have appts until later this year. I asked to be put on a list, I was called within a week or so. Great service when I arrived. VERY VERY VERY CLEAN.

I have had a wonderful visit at Dentistry of the Carolina. Staff is friendly.caring.concern with how are you doing from the time you enter the room until you leave especially Dr. Cabana, shes great ! She tells you step by step what she is doing. She seem as if she truly cares for her patients and that reflects to her staff. Also she listen to what you are saying and how you are feeling, I recommend this practice. No pain had my tooth grind for a crown, believe me no pain. I do not like pain. Love the early am appointments and the friendly staff! Everyone is always making me feel welcomed and always sharing good dental hygiene advice which lets me know that they care. I have been visiting this location for 9 years and can't see any reason why I would go anywhere else.
