What began as a single, general dentistry practice in 1992 has grown into 13 general and orthodontic offices in and around Charlotte that provide excellent, accessible, and affordable care to patients. After years practicing, mentoring, growing and shaping Dentistry of the Carolinas, our founder Dr. John Walsh has transitioned to a new phase of life where he is enjoying time with family and is favorite hobbies. We dont call it retirement because for all who know Dr. Walsh understand that word is not in his vocabulary. Dont be surprised to see Dr. Walsh at any of our offices tinkering with a project or fine tuning some dental equipment. He will always be part of the DOC family.
Tooth fairies collect teeth from underneath pillows each night and bring them back to Tooth Fairy Land. They plant these little teeth in a Tooth Garden to sprout new baby teeth. One tooth grew a bit too big to be a baby tooth, this was Flossy. The Fairies didnt know what to do with Flossy until they decided that he would be sent to the human world full time to teach kids how important it was to take care of their teeth.
Trees do not grow gumdrops Sour Patch Kids are not found on playgrounds Most importantly, you could NEVER get cavities in Tooth Fairy Land like you can in the human world if you dont take care of your teeth!
Flossy loves sweets and candy and cookies and especially Surfer Cooler flavored Capri-Suns. He used to surf the molasses ocean in Tooth Fairy Land, it moved very, very slowly which was perfect for him because hes kind of big and slow himself!

As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with friendly smiles, I was a little early but was seen right away. Dr. Newbill and Karen were super friendly and very professional. I would highly recommend Dr. Newbill and DOC Southpark!

Such a Great dentist office! I've had such a good experience here with everyone being really nice and polite. I would highly recommend checking this office out. I had some dental issues that needed to be fixed which they got me in fast. Happy with everything they have fixed.

Outstanding dentistry! I like Dr. S. He is laid back and he keeps my grill looking good which I guess is most important. Southpark location on the first floor is rad. Plenty of parking.

I do not have the luxury of immediately responding to texts or phone calls during working hours and I often need to travel for work (IT Consulting, Executive level). I flew back into town expressly for an appointment this Monday only to find out that because I didn't respond to a confirmation message sent on Thursday within the three hour window of time allowed (10:30am-1:30pm), my appointment was canceled. And because the text message contains the words "you may need to reschedule", they didn't feel the need to contact me and tell me that the appointment was indeed canceled. They also informed me they don't regard Fridays as a business day so another reason they didn't respond to me since I sent my confirmation back after 5pm (530) on Thursday. I would think that at the point that my appointment was canceled and filled in, someone could've text me easily enough then? But no. Between the flight the travel time the consulting hours I blocked off for today's appointment, I am out about $5000. I started to relay the problem to the front desk but it was clear by her body language and her reciting of their "policy" that will get me nowhere. If it's the policy to allow a 3 hour window to confirm an appointment, then reschedule it without notifying the client, that's a poor policy. We don't all have the luxury of immediate phone and text response as many of us have our own clients we are busy satisfying during working hours.

Kristina at the front desk is extremely welcoming and organized when checking me in and Sheila when checking me out. Macy did a great job with my cleaning and very helpful finding a new toothbrush for me! I was very worrisome when it came to fillings I had to get completed, but Mikaela and Dr. Newbill were very gentle and comforting through the whole process. Highly recommend!

I'm a new patient at DOC SouthPark and I'm very happy with Dr. Schuyler as my new dentist. He's smart, very patient, great to talk to and explains things really well. Also, Macy has been wonderful as my new hygienist. She's very thorough and knowledgeable and is so nice always checking to make sure you're comfortable. Plus the entire staff has been super friendly to work with. I've been very happy with everyone at DOC.
