Dr. Zachary Powell practices comprehensive general dentistry on Saint Simons Island and enjoys treating patients of all ages. He has provided dental care to generations of families throughout the great state of Georgia for over 20 years. Dr. Powell earned a Bachelors of Science degree in both Zoology and Biology from the University of Georgia and a Doctorate in Dental Medicine from the Medical College of Georgia. In 2011, Dr. Powell completed an advanced residency in Implant Dentistry at the Georgia Health Sciences University.
A promoter of dental health education, Dr. Powell embraces continual training for himself and his staff. He has been privileged to study with leading dental specialists from all over the United States, and has been distinguished by both the Georgia Dental Association and the Pierre Fauchard Academy as an Honorary Fellow. Dr. Powell strongly believes in patient-centered oral healthcare for people of all ages and backgrounds. As a dedicated member of several notable professional organizations, Dr. Powells belief in patient advocacy has led to multiple local, state, and national leadership positions over the past 20 years. He currently serves as President Elect of the Georgia Dental Association, representing over 3000 dentists.
Dr. Powell also owns a commercial cotton and peanut farm. He enjoys fishing, golfing, cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs and spending time with his family. Dr. Powell has been married to his college sweetheart, Elizabeth, since 1996. They are the proud parents of two children, Anna Jane and Zachary.

Children are very prone to accidents which may include trauma to the teeth such as cracks, chips, bleedings gums or lips, and the complete loss of one or more teeth.
