Dr. Keith Vaughan is a Hampton Roads native. He grew up in Chesapeake, Virginia and received his undergraduate degree from Old Dominion University. Upon graduation, he was commissioned into the United States Army and was stationed at Fort Stewart, Georgia. Dr. Vaughan was a medical platoon leader in the 3rd Infantry Division and deployed to Kuwait in 1998. He attended the Associate Healthcare Administrator Course at Fort Sam Houston, Texas and was the Executive Officer for the Department of Primary Care at the US Army Medical Activity at Fort Stewart, Georgia.
He was promoted to Captain and then served as the Company Commander for the US Army Dental Activity at Fort Stewart, Georgia. Dr. Vaughan left the Army and attended dental school at Virginia Commonwealth University where he graduated with a DDS degree in 2008.
Dr. Vaughan has been practicing in York County since 2008. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, and Peninsula Dental Society. Dr. Vaughan is married to his college sweetheart, Cielito and they have a daughter named Ava. In his free time Dr. Vaughan enjoys spending time with his family, an occasional round of golf, and anything to do with the water.

When I was looking for a Dentist I started reading reviews on Dr. Keith E Vaughan and his staff. I have to tell you every one was right they are all AWESOME. Today was my first appointment and I felt right at home. Everyone was so good to me. Dr. Vaughan is really a nice man with a great sense of humor just like me.

Would leave 0 if possible. Came in off the street asked if they were taking new patients. Gave insurance cards to lady at front desk who told us my kids had great insurance but me and my wife not. No problem please set kids appointments. 3 months later we finally get in and the take my daughter back and a lady comes in and now tells us your insurance won't cover and you will have to pay out of pocket. I told her I could not afford to pay out of pocket and would just leave. I expressed my disappointment in being to wrong info from them only to wait 3 months to find out this. No remorse or accountability of their mistake and oh we took a X-ray of your daughter before we told you this and that will be $83. Total waste of time and money in these very hard times. Thanks for nothing.

Being a stay at home mom I was prepared to pay the out of pocket cost I was quoted over the phone. While I was filling out my papers they started whispering about how to add more to my bill because they make more from self pay! She called me into her office to tell me about new policies and now they require $300 of full mouth xrays before cleaning can be done. I have found a much more respectable office that doesn't bait and switch their patients.

I got reccomend by my therapist for this place telling me how great they are and all.. granted I understand the Lady who answered my call what my issues was with my insurance, unfortunately just how a she said it to me with so much attitude I understand I can't come here because my insurance doesn't cover it but that doesn't mean you have to be aggressive about it I called 2 other dentist located that didn't accept my insurance and for some strange reason they seemed more reasonable and respectful about my situation. Please provide some level of respect when answering calls. Even if your having a bad day... don't take out on people. Wish you all the best

I am terrified of the dentist chair. I cracked a tooth and so I had no choice but to visit a dentist. I don't think I could have found a more caring and patient staff.

I've had Amber as my dental hygienist my past couple visits. She's always super pleasant, easy to talk to, and takes time to explain what she is doing and why. I've never had a hygienist do this and it makes it more interesting. Dr. Vaughn, do what you need to to keep her around!

If I could give a minus star I would. I went to Keith Vaughan while he worked with Dr. Bowler. A well known dentist in Yorktown. I went to him to put in a crown. He used up all my allotment from my insurance company before even finishing up my work and so I had to pay the remainder out of pocket. The tooth didn't fit properly and he knew it and just said I'd have to "Floss more around that area". The tooth doesn't even fit up to my gums. I now live in Southern Arizona and the dentists and operations in Mexico are by far better than any American dentist. Do yourself a favor. Don't use this guy.

Worst experience! Poorly done fillings and he left a shard of metal between my molars which irritated me for several days until I poked and prodded it out. Unhygienic and inattentive doctor! This was an experience a while back but was just remembering dentist nightmares and compelled to share this one.

Dr Vaughn is great but Receptionist Donna has a very nasty attitude. Will cut you off while talking. She brushes off your concerns and acts as if your annoying her smh.

Dr. Vaughn is by far one of the better dentist I've seen. Him and his team are very helpful and patient. The only issue is the office manager, she has The temperament of a used car salesman and brings the rest of the team down with her Bizarre behavior. Otherwise, they would get 6 stars.

I had a great experience today! Everyone in the office treated me so good, from the day I called requesting a new patient appointment until the time I left today! I felt very welcomed and I truly appreciated how I was cared for! My hygienist was the BEST I think her name was Bri, she was very knowledgeable, took her time and gave my teeth a great cleaning they desperately needed, and I felt no pain!!! Dr. Vaughan was equally as great, took time evaluating me and great personality and sense of humor which I appreciate! Highly recommend

Can I just say how wonderful Dr. Vaughan and his entire staff are! Ensuring that their patients feel genuinely welcomed and comfortable is priority number one, and they do exactly that. My teeth were one of my biggest insecurities and in the span of 15 minutes Dr. Vaughan made them damn near perfect. I can't thank you enough. If you're anywhere near Yorktown and in the market for a new dentist, he's your guy!

Loved the friendly and knowledgeable staff. They were fantastic. Dr. Vaughn was extremely friendly and helpful as well. He was able to address the issues with my son's teeth and explained everything to us in a clear and concise manner. Would highly recommend to anyone that is looking for a great dentist in Yorktown. Best experience we've ever had with a dental team.

I was told that they didn't have any appointments and let me leave with bad tooth pain after having been a patient there. I thought Dr.s are supposed to help people rather than just kick them to the curb. Receptionist was unprofessional and rude.
