Dr. Fink graduated on the Dean's List from the University of Indiana in 1994. He began practicing general dentistry and, during those years, developing an interest in aesthetic treatment as well as the need for surgical reconstruction.
To further his education, Dr. Fink pursued specialized training at the Malo Clinic, Lisbon, Portugal, ranked as the world's finest in Fixed Oral Rehabilitation. Dr. Fink has also lectured for Tatum Surgical. In 2002, Dr. Fink completed the AAID Maxi Course at the Medical College of Georgia, Barcelona, Spain as well as extensive training for TMD and Sleep Apnea.
At Dentistry for Woodstock, we provide clear braces throughout the Woodstock area. Straight teeth are important for your overall oral health. We understand that while many people want to have straighter teeth, many teens and adults are uncomfortable with the traditional metal braces on their teeth for more than one year. While they are not as discreet as people wish, metal braces are an effective tool for straightening teeth. The procedure works by placing a metal bracket onto the surface of each tooth and running a wire through those brackets. It is impossible not to notice when someone is wearing traditional metal braces. While the treatment works, it can also negatively impact a persons' appearance while doing so. This has led many people to seek out a better option, one that we provide.
At Dentistry for Woodstock, we offer clear alternatives for adults and teens the greater Woodstock area. We can straighten teeth and move them into the perfect position so the patient has a beautiful and radiant straight smile. If you have crooked teeth, unsightly gaps between your teeth or a misaligned bite, then we can help to correct these issues and more. Clear braces work just as effectively as metal braces but with some major improvements. Clear braces are much more difficult to notice, making them ideal for busy professionals, teens and those that do not want to negatively impact their current appearance during the process.
There are several types of clear and barely visible options to choose. One operates similarly to traditional metal braces where we place a bracket onto each tooth and thread a wire between the brackets. The difference is that instead of being made out of metal, the brackets for clear braces consists of a tooth-colored resin that blends in with the natural tooth. The wire is also tooth-colored so that the braces themselves are almost invisible and difficult to see. We find that this solution works well for teens and adults that are able to practice proper dental hygiene with the clear braces. Otherwise, food can stain the brackets. This solution is an excellent alternative to traditional braces and is just as effective at addressing all oral health concerns.
Clear braces also come in the form of aligners. Clear aligners look like a full retainer that surrounds the teeth and are worn on the upper and lower teeth. Aligners are more convenient to wear than metal braces since patients can remove them when necessary. One of the major concerns that people have with wearing braces is that they do not come off until the treatment is complete. If, for example, you get braces then decide to get married, you will either have braces in your wedding pictures or need to pay to remove them and reinstall them after. Simultaneously, if you have a big presentation at work and want to impress a client, your braces cannot come off for the meeting. This leaves many adults apprehensive about committing to a two-year treatment plan. We understand that appearance is important for more than vanity. It impacts your ability to create a professional image and retain your own self-image. If you're looking for a great family dentistry practice... this is the place! I'm new in town and recently broke a molar... from my first panicked phone call the staff has remained courteous and accommodating. Shannon at the front desk was able to schedule me for their next available appointment... The office manager Robin was able to work out an agreeable payment plan... My Dental Assistant Wayne has been with the practice for 18 years... and Dr. Fink was very personable and professional. I can't say enough about the facility and it's beautiful interior and amenities. This is the place you want to be for you and your family's dental care!

Update: I'm still having issues with the botched cosmetic work that I paid thousands for. Please DO NOT get veneers here. Originally I posted a five star review and I raved about how wonderful this office was, but here I am five months later and I regret ever going if I'm being honest. I had crowns and veneers done for cosmetic reasons, and while they look great, I am in the worst pain I have ever experienced. From day one I had issues with one specific veneered tooth and I visited the office multiple times with my complaint and was told multiple times to "give it time." Well I gave it enough time for my damaged tooth to die and get infected, resulting in excruciating pain and needing an expensive root canal. Unfortunately, I genuinely believe this was negligent and should have been caught way sooner. The staff in the back is AMAZING, I still stand by that. However up front, Robin specifically has been rude and condescending to me each and every time I have had the misfortune of speaking with her. I think it's also imperative to stress that if you do in fact, have a dental emergency and the Dr is not available to help, they will not refer you to someone that CAN help, despite the pain that you are in and not to mention, the amount of work that you have missed due to their scheduling issues. I am very understanding when it comes to rescheduling and I totally get that stuff happens and that we are all human. But I think you should at least be able to refer your patients to someone that can help when you yourself are not available. That's just not good patient care in my opinion.

After years of putting off getting dental work I am so truly blessed to have found dr. Fink and his team. I had to get wisdom teeth out along with implants the same day. Dr. Fink and his team helped me answer all the questions ,even ones I didn't think of because I was super nervous. They made me feel so comfortable . After I had my procedure done , he checked up on me often and made sure I was okay and comfy. He has amazing bedside manners and he really loves what he does ( I can tell, I'm in the medical field also) . I hate going to dentists, always afraid of pain,but he made sure I was comfortable, made my anxiety low and was there every step of the way. I'm so so blessed for him. I have always had a fear of dentist, but Dr Fink is awesome and so gental and Patient, he stopped a few times to let me take a breath the next time I went I didn't have as much Anxiety as I did the 1st time. The office staff is amazing and Dr Finks. ZHANNA is the best ever she made sure I was ok the whole time and kept talking to me to keep me claim I can't thank her enough for how great And patient she was. Skylar checked me in and was so sweet and nice and kept me claim in the waiting room letting me know it would be ok. I gave them 5 stars but it should be 100 stars. I highly recommend them!

Dr. Fink and his wonderful team are simply the very best. Highly skilled and talented and above all honest! They consistently have put what is best for my care above opportunities to add work just to make money. For my entire life I have had painful and bad experiences with dentists - but Dr. Fink and crew are amazing. They protect and manage potentially painful procedures so they are not a problem for me at all. I just cannot say enough about how great this practice is. Highly Recomended@

I would recommend all my family and friends to come to this dr office Dr. Flink. His front staff is so friendly and very understanding towards someone in immediate dental care. The assistants in the back were just as sweet and made me feel like I was welcome and not just being rushed in and out like most offices these days. Dr Flink is always there when you need him and I've never experienced any kind of treatment from any dental office before and I'm 36 and I have been to several dentist due to a certain medical condition that really ruins your teeth. So anyway please take my advice and if you're looking for a wonderful dentist and staff Dentistry for Woodstock is by far the best. I hope this helps anyone searching for a great dentist. I want to add I've been going to Dr.Fink for a while now and his staff still amazes me each visit. Friendly and always helpful. I'm anxious to just start parking but buy the time I walk in the door I am already starting to calm down. I know I'm in great hands. My teeth are healthy for the first time in 20 years. It's all thanks to Dr. Fink and his amazing staff. Robbin is super sweet and Shannon and the girls at the front window all awesome. The dental assistants in the back are the best as well. I have to say.. I am someone who hates the dentist.. ANXIETY CRAZY! Dr. Fink is amazing and has great bedside manner with his patients. I saw him for the 2nd time today and he comes in the room dancing like a goof just to put a smile on my face. My son and I will continue to see him. His staff is great too. Very happy to have found my new dentist.

This is going to be my honest review. I returned here after a year because of covid as I did not want to increase my exposure as I am high risk. They are very nice here seemed like they care except their receptionist. I was supposed to get a splint therapy treatment and even put money down (which they returned right away, so that's good), I was very excited, but the main dentist saw how my teeth "moved" the next day after looking at my pictures they took, when I told him beforehand that my teeth dont look like it was a year ago because of the inflammation on my masseter, temporalis and all over and also when I clearly told him that it is my jaw so I thought we established that fact, he then changed his treatment plan. 2nd treatment he wanted me to have a palate expander for $6100 which is double the amount of the splint and my insurance does not cover it. So I said hold off as I have no money laying around paying people $6100 for a treatment that is not even the 1st advisable treatment for TMJ issues and I am working student, and I told him that I really would like to try the splint therapy first as I do not want anything changing my mouth which is a no no for TMJ, no aggressive treatment... then took them a while to reach out to me and I spoke with the main dentist again, only to be told I needed braces which is probably around $5000. Teeth are not the issue, its the jaw and the inflammation due to me clenching so hard.
